What a strong woman! Very emotional story. I hope you find your closure. I am from South Africa but live in the UK. If you need help, just let me know. You never know as it is such a small world!
I’m so glad you and your mum have shared this, I found my dad when I was 21 and it didn’t end as I hoped. Hearing your mum say she had all these visions is exactly how I felt - sending her lots of love ❣️
Oh gosh such a courageous lady. My husband and I are going through the adoption process and stories like your mum's just go to show how important it will be for us to have as much information as possible about our child's biological parents so that they don't have to go through added heartache on top of already traumatic circumstances. Thank you so much for sharing xxx
Not through the video yet but wow, your mum never ceases to amaze me. So strong, so incredible, thank you for being so open you do not know how helpful and comforting you will be to so many 💗 Remarkable women, you are a real role model. More videos with your wisdom and words
This one really got to me. What a strong woman your mum is. Your mums story is actually quite similar to mine. Im 26 and have never met my dad. My mum has told me information about him (spending 6 months in the uk and 6 months in Africa).. bit of a player, didn’t want me when my mum told him she was pregnant. I’ve recently done a my heritage dna test and the only thing that has come up is my English mums side of the family. It’s quite disheartening because like your mum said.. I want to put the pieces together and find out more about myself. I’m glad she has shared her story and I’m looking forward to catching up on Saturday x
So proud of your beautiful Mum for being brave by sharing her heartbreaking story to finding her biological Dad. Such an emotional video. Wish I could give her the biggest hug. What an amazing angel. Sending lots of love to your angel Mum Imogen xx 😘
Wow this is incredible! My dad was given up and adopted in America when he was born. He recently just found his birth mum aged 56! He did an ancestry test and found his mums sister (he did it thinking he wouldn't find anything)! He knew nothing about his birth parents and now he has two sisters, two brothers, a mum and loads of nieces and nephews! He moved to Scotland when he was 18 thinking he would never find her. Your mum is so strong and I'm thankful for her sharing her story!💗
I got to say your mum is incredible the way she cares for her children and grandchild is so beautiful. She has the most beautiful soul. You follow in your mums footsteps your such a very good mum to your daughter your family is so beautiful. I not got a bond like this with my family we not close I wish I had a family like this such a beautiful family I love you all so much xxxx
Bless your mom, she’s so strong!❤️ I tried to make contact with my dad he left when I was 6 weeks old (I’m 25 now) and he doesn’t want anything to do with me, he has other children and I’d love to meet my siblings one day! I’m definitely going to look into ancestry❤️❤️
As someone who was brought up by my grandma from my mum neglecting her children and have never met my dad, this one definitely hits me but also it makes me emotional seeing you have such an amazing relationship with your parents it’s so beautiful 💓
This made me so emotional. I didn’t know my mum or my dad all I had was names and stories. I was very lucky to be adopted by two beautiful parents and I’m forever grateful. But I began searching for my biological family last year and it is such an emotional rollercoaster so I really do feel what she’s going through. It has its ups as well as downs I went through grief and rejection but also went through so much love and I now have a sister who I couldn’t go a day without speaking to💗 wishing your mum all the best she’s such a lovely lady xxxx
Ahhh cliffhanger!! Absolutely loved listening to this! I recently did a DNA test through ancestry and it’s crazy some of the stuff that you come across regarding you’re genetic makeup and where you come from . Xx
_omg can i give your mom like THE biggest hug ever!!! she’s such a strong beautiful woman!!! i cried through this whole thing. my heart goes out to your beautiful wonderful mom and the whole family on the crazy journey. i’m so happy she got some answer about where she comes from!!!!!❤ gosh i love you guys so much !!!!! 🥲🥺🥺🥺🥹🥹🥹😭😭_
I really relate to your Mums story. I was lucky that I did know my Dads name, but he left our lives when I was 3 years old and I have no memories of him. I only recently found his younger brother who told me he didn’t want to settle down with family and this is why he left. It was also confirmed he died in 2009. I’m 1 year older than your Mum and totally relate to the life feelings and insecurities of not having a father in your life. Your Mum is a wonderful lady and how wonderful that you now have a daughter and happily married. It’s something you strive so much to do - make sure your children don’t suffer the same as you did. It’s ensuring the cycle doesn’t continue. At least your Mum has gained some supportive family in South Africa and knows more than she did.
Beautiful and amazing and fantastic video love it 🥰 and love your mothers strength in telling us her amazing story prayers and thoughts for your mother love you mom ❤❤❤ and grandma to love your family friend John from Australia ❤❤❤
Wow thanks for sharing, 😢 I’m in my late 30s and don’t know nothing about my dad, name or nothing. My mum doesn’t talk about him and my entire life I’ve felt lost. All my brothers know where they come from. I’ve always dreamed that he would one day come rescue me. Not that I need saving 😊 I really hope that one day I’ll find him😢 thanks again you have a loving family you are truly blessed ❤
you're so brave, truly. You are all such inspirations to me, I really hope and pray you can find him for your own closure. I love you and you're amazing xxx
Hi, we used ancestry to find family for my farther in law who was adopted at birth. We had nothing to go by either. Ancestry dug in and found a cousin which lead to many doors opening. Don’t give up it’s a process but you will get there
Anyone else reaaallllly distracted by the feet 🤣 jokes aside ... bless your mum she has been through so much and what's an incredible strong woman , I can't wait to see the rest Saturday ! Xxx
Sorry if this question is too personal hun, but we have seen your grandma in multiple videos however, you said your mum was in foster care as a child can I ask what happened and how they were able to rebuild their relationship? ❤
My mum was adopted and has found her mother but there's no information on her father. It would be amazing to just find out his name, where he came from and what type of person he was, even for me as his grandchild. Mad to me how people can not want anything to do with their blood.
Our family know nothing about my mums dad other than his first name. I managed to do my dad family tree but so wish I could find out her dads information he’s passed away now so we’re a bit stuck as we don’t know birthplaces etc x
What a strong woman! Very emotional story. I hope you find your closure. I am from South Africa but live in the UK. If you need help, just let me know. You never know as it is such a small world!
