    My first time viewing your channel. Helpful video Brandi, do you think that Facebook events are very affective for multiday events like hikes I run for very specific groups of teens. Until now, I have created Facebook Business page posts and ads with a link to the hike on my website. Thanks for any advice 🙂

    How far in advance do you suggest setting up an event? Is there a magical day to post events? My best event day is on Thursdays as that is when i have less family commitments

      Hey there! It can vary depending on the nature of your event but I think 30 days is a good advance, and usually events are best held on the weekends or after typical 9-5 work hours on the weekdays if you want you want a big in-person attendance.

    Hey great video! What's a best practice for the order in which you should upload a promo video? Should you upload a promo video for the event WITHIN the Facebook event? Or, should you upload the promo video to the main Facebook page and link people to the event link as part of that post?

      I would upload your promo video to your main Facebook page if that's where the majority of your followers are with a link to the Facebook event! If your promo video is a good summary of what to expect at the event, you can post it within the Event as well for continuity and added context.

      Great question! Boosted posts optimize for engagement. The event response campaign in ads manager optimizes for event responses, so if you're wanting event responses and event awareness, I would use that as opposed to boosted posts!

    Thank you. Maybe there was an update to Facebook events recently. I can't save an event as a draft anymore. That option and the entire event creation page layout has changed.

      @@LYFEMarketingAtlanta Yes, all is up to date. I've tried it on a windows 7, 8 and 10 machine. It looks like there's a new interface, which doesn't allow for saving a draft or publishing later. Once you select create event it goes live.

    I want my event to be the release of our lyrics video from our new Cd's first single. How do I set up the video to play at the beginning of our event and be the end of our event when the video ends? Plus where do people invited to the event go to see the video?

      If you know the length of your video, can set the start and end time accordingly, and just publish the video to the event page at the start of the event.

    Is it possible to add a different cover photo which when people click on, will take them to the events page. Is that possible?

      I don't believe it's possible to make a cover photo clickable like that, but you can add a link to your even as the description for your cover photo. Hope that helps!

    How can you create an event with multiple dates but display that they are 2 different showings? Like a concert playing back-to-back days? I've tried using the custom date range feature and it creates the 2 events plus one overarching event with the full date range which makes it look like there are 3 events to the viewers. It's extremely confusing.

    The cover photo replacement appears pixelated in the preview no matter the resolution of the image. does it appear this way only for the preview?

      Cover photos are 40 pixels wide and 360 pixels tall for mobile, and 820 pixels wide and 312 pixels tall for desktop. The image you're trying to upload must be smaller than these dimensions, Facebook is most likely stretching the image to fit the dimensions, causing the blurriness.

    As far as I can tell, unless they send you a specific message, nobody can say they going to your event from a mobile. They can only say that they're interested. Is there a way to change this?

    Thanks for this video! I have a question: how to create a Facebook event without it being posted on the wall directly afterwards? I want to create multiple events for the next few months (easier to do it all in one go instead of doing one each week), but don't want to have 20+ posts "promoting" these events that are some time in the future.     My question for this is: people are marking that they are going but they are not paying in our linked online scheduler (Vagaro). The issue with this is that if people do not pre pay and schedule on our online booking site then the instructor will not show up. How do we ensure that they book and pay for the class?!

    Hi thanks for this video! Ive got one question regarding event promotion. Ive created an event from my business profile. Its an offline event with no tickets. Then using Ads Meneger Ive created an ad of this event. Ive done it step by step like it says on Meta tutorial. Ive noticed that there is no CTA "interested" on the body of the ad. do you maybe know why ?

    Thank you - you explained everything very well. I'm setting up a FB livestream event. I can't change the photo for the event. I click on the trashcan icon and it doesn't remove the existing photo. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

      never mind - as soon as I typed this questions, I went back into the event and was able to change the photo after all ! Sometimes you have to do the same exact thing more than once to get it to work!

    Hi how about we are promoting our products by facebook live and we want to increase the viewers. So if we create ads in the ads manager using event responses does that campaign increase our live viewers in our facebook live? Thank you for answering my question!

    I created an event page for my friend who it putting on a play, so it came from my personal page. I don't see an option to select Category...and it's not showing up unless I type in the title of the show. Does the Event category only pop up from a biz page? I wanted to put the venue place as my Cohost, but they only have a Like button...not a Friend option (obviously). Thanks for any tips!

      @@LYFEMarketingAtlanta Desktop system. I finally figured it out, but it has changed and did not look like what you showed. I never did get an option to use personal or business with my business page. It only looked like what you showed when using my personal facebook. When I switched to my business page, looked nothing like what you showed.

    Hi, question. I'm running a weekly concert series with different local artists every Monday. I tried to do it as a recurring event but i can't seem to edit the description for each day to have the name of the different artist. IS this possible?

      Maybe if you try going into one of the recurring events and clicking the three dots and there you can edit the name? If not, then it's probably not possible!

      @@LYFEMarketingAtlanta you know Facebook doesn't respond to comments and/or requests for help. Their new "Pages Experience" is absolutely brutal. They don't allow us to structure where the tabs are like we could do in the "templates" option in the classive view. Now our followers for pages can't see events without performing multiple clicks in the "about" tab. It's a horrible experience. Facebook is going downhill fast.
