I have the 42009. I built it 4 years ago. Then i saw this video 3 years ago. So i rebuilt it with this design. Honestly this set is the most amazing Lego set ive ever built. Good job in redesigning the 42009. 👍 by far the coolest Lego set i have❤
This is exactly how Lego should have done it in the first place ! Especially at that price ! You should have called the video "Lego 42009 Proper".
Jurgen is an absolute GENIUS!!! I started building it using your instructions.
To those who want to see the genius design of the remote and partly assembled crane with an in-depth overview of the mechanisms:

Enjoy!
I love this set! I bought two of the 42009 and made one from the plans you put on your website. It was about $450 total for the build but completely worth it! I love that the hook has enough weight now to work properly and the stabilizers work at a tolerable speed now. The instructions were a little off and I came up a few parts short after using the parts list from the website but overall I can't complain. You did a fine job and this set is the best lego set I have had to date.
Thank you!
thank you very much for making the instructiions for this rg modification. Had a blast building it
Thx very much 4 the exellent Building Instructions!!!
Man, another great job!! Thank you for sharing!!
Wow, just wanted to put my Rebrickable Mail to Trash without looking into it, and then I saw you having a new projekt! I was not interested in 42009 yet, but with you mod, that changes. Your Ultimate 8043 Excabator was fantastic, now it gets a friend to play with.
Great work buddy. Every moves very smooth and all the motors are nicely tucked away.
Thanks man!! I will build it soon!!
That looks awesome! I'm getting one at some point.
this thing is great i built one and love it.
keep the good work i look forward to more like it.
anyone whos thinking to build this should
Great job m8!
Really nice!
Great upgrade, nice work! I would love to see some kind of openable cover above the v8 engine.
Thanks. I'm going to try it
finally i found it thx dude
That's Fantastic....
Ausgezeichnete Bauanleitung und perfekte Homepage.
Gruss Leviathanfuner1
Perfect!
I saw this model at lego world 2013 utrecht yesterday! It was great, so I bought the crane myself
This moc is legende
nice.. cool...
Cannot access your website for the instruction. Could you please tell me how to get this instruction, I really love this MOC, it's awesome!
I recently recieved the set and I'd like to know to fully rc what parts
do I need
WOWOW! ich habe endlich alle Extra Teile zusammen, in 2 Wochen geht es endlich mit dem Bau los, wenn das letzte LEGO Paket da ist!
Hallo, wo bekomme ich die Teileliste her?
Grüße
are spare parts from original 42009 used in this mod? I bought a used built up A model without spares. Is it sufficient to get the additional parts from your list to build it?
Офигительно ! Спасибо за инструкции., пошел разбивать копилку
Можешь залить инструкцию куданить?
все инструкции ищи на rebrickable.com
Actually I have got the same question... So what extra parts do I need to build it.
Can you build this with the extra parts from the Volvo 42030 ?
Anyone have a backup of the instructions? Jugen's site is down.
is there any chance you could email me the instructions as the website is in german? or instructions on where to go on the website. many thanks
I would like to motorize my crane but when I enter the page it seems that the link is not valid; I don't know if it's because the page was closed. But if I am interested in knowing the plans to improve mine. If someone can help me I would appreciate it very much.
can you use the servo motor for steering? can it be solved is there room for it
On the Rebrickable inventory there is about a 50 part difference when building this with 42009 and changing from "Exact" and "Ignore" colour modes. Mainly some liftarms that you used in different colours to those in the set. Was that deliberate? I've been cleaning up the inventory and intend to check it when I'm building the MOC :)
where does the driving and steering motor go
Does it require any other parts than the set provides besides the PF?
A V10 would be cool. Think about it, is a V8 really big enough to power that thing?
Hi, how much did you spend on just the mod itself?

How many receiver did it take?
How to open the partslist? *.bsx
Website is not available anymore. Can anyone upload the instructions again for new modifiers. Thanks
+Tharusha Hettiarachchi Website is temporarily offline due tue technical problems. I'm working on it to get it back online ASAP.
+Rhodeslover1 Thank you. Goodluck with it, can't wait for the website to be up and running again. Keep us posted
This is great, but what extra parts do I need to motorize it? I downloaded the instructions but they do not give any parts list.
Kyle Blank it says under the instructions list
Mark Tatham I see, thanks.
is it return to center steering?
It is not, you have to do your best to steer it back to center by eye, the upside is that it makes proportional steering possible where the servo only does full lock with the PF system.
Alter Falter ist das Cool
Не открывается сайт, может кто нить скинуть инструкцию? или залить на хранилище како-либо
👍👍👍👍👍
Supervetttttttt
Does the normal version have real front and rear lights?
Yes, it does.
O.Goregen
No it doesn't. Check the parts list www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=42009-1
malangope Aren't these the lights? I mean not real lights, these are used as lights. www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4073
O.Goregen
Well I dont think thats what zombot was wondering about since in the video there were PF lights and the original doesnt have those.
These mods are all very good, but lego is about hands on, getting on your hands and knees on the floor and actually interacting with the lego. one of each would resolve this :D
but to motorize it, it costs the same as the set. that is the sad part
Website is up again
