Being one of the more experienced installers of these ductless split units at my company I would have to say with the volume of equipment we sell of this nature, the Mitsubishi has less issues than other brands we have dealt with. Being a Diamond dealer of Mitsubishi we only sell it because of it's reliability. There are some features other brands have that I wish Mitsubishi would implement in their product but overall it is a solid product as far as ductless split systems go

I've never had a problem with LG. I think they make good air conditioners that are very affordable and do just as well as the rest if not better. Perhaps there are quite a few comments about them from people simply because there are so many of these units installed especially in hot countries like Australia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia etc? You could get an incorrect impression that they always break down if the majority of your call outs are to places with LG units in countries where they are very popular. I used to think Daikin were excellent but recently my opinion has reduced slightly. Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Panasonic all excellent. Like others have mentioned I'm unsure why some of these are not on the list but ones we have not yet heard of are.

Carrier took 5.1 million dollars in U.S. federal stimulus cash before moving 1400 jobs out of the U.S. to Mexico.
Because of this, I will buy anything except Carrier.
