  • Surah 'Abasa (سورة عبس) is the 80th chapter of the Quran, revealed in Mecca. It is a short surah, consisting of 42 verses.
The surah begins by describing the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) encounter with a blind man, Ibn Umm Maktum, who came to him seeking guidance. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was busy with some of the Quraysh leaders, hoping they would accept Islam. He turned away from the blind man, indicating that he was too busy to attend to him at that moment.
The surah then rebukes the Prophet (peace be upon him) for turning away from the blind man, reminding him that the blind man came to him seeking guidance and that he should not have prioritized the hopes of the Quraysh leaders over the needs of the blind man.
The surah goes on to emphasize the importance of humility, kindness, and compassion, and warns against becoming too proud or arrogant. It also reminds the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the believers of the importance of being patient and persistent in the face of adversity.
    - The importance of humility and kindness
    - The need to prioritize the needs of others, especially those seeking guidance
    - The dangers of pride and arrogance
    - The importance of patience and persistence in the face of adversity
    - The reminder that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is not immune to mistakes and that he should seek forgiveness when needed.
