The cactus in Mexico are so big and there are so many of them!
Vinnie is a mobile restaurant, because there is a chef on it who can cook delicious food at any time!
If wisdom and knowledge are wealth, yes, you both are indeed rich!
I like Naick's positive energy, he can deal with every problem with optimism! Thanks a lot for sharing, have a great travel! 👍🥰❤🙌
Thanks so much Gianni ❤️😊
@@NaickKim It is my honor, thanks to you too! 🥰❤❤

As a Canadian-Argentine, I'm LOVING this journey!!
The chords you are playing are correct, just don't forget to tune the strings! :D
Let me know when you guys make your way to Mendoza, Argentina, my sis and her family can treat you to some Malbec wine and traditional asado BBQ.
Thanks so much 🥰 will do! I truly believed that tuning was like a once a year thing 😂😂
Loving your journey guys. You guys make us laugh. We so love Naicks cooking and fishing trips. He's like a 5yr old with a new rod. He must love it so much. We are sure his face must ache from the grin. Love from Oz 🇦🇺
Hahaha yes and now he wants a kayak too :) :) :)
He IS a 5 year old with a new rod. But he's pretty cute with his rod too.
@@NaickKim be careful of a man with a rod in his hand wanting to use it, and you're not in the mood. 😁 (couldn't resist sorry)
Can't think of a suitable appropriate to say in a public response :D
@@NaickKim that would be fun. Get a 2 person and fish too.
This video was a lot of fun to watch because both of you were having a lot of fun! It's clear how much you love each other, love Mexico & love good food! I can still feel your relief after all the snow & mechanical troubles. Enjoy! Grateful to be along for the adventure.
My country 🙌 I love Mexico! 🇲🇽
Great insight on how your richness is defined not by monetary value but by quality of life, I agree 100%!
you guys are awesome.
❤️❤️ thank you!
You captured perfectly the craziness and beauty of the Baja desert, the cacti are so big! Kim, can I ask what illegal activities you’re doing 0.1% of the time 🥸 So much to love about this, the fact you feel rich because of how you’re living, not how much money you’re making… that’s something special. And we also had a delivery from Chris and Marianne from La Paz Walmart 😂 Trudy the Baja Delivery Truck!
I'd tell you, but we'd have to kll you ;)
Trudy is the best Baja delivery truck everrrr. Good thing she's so brave.
The desert really is something else down here. Second to the beaches 😍
So nice to have a title that's not drama-filled and tabloid-style :) Big like
Giant cactus attacked our van 😂
@@NaickKim Still positive ^^ Goede reis!
Those cacti are gigantic! I absolutely was picturing old cartoons and worried Naick might fall into one.
Also, I really appreciate your flashback to old photos. I'm about 6 weeks away from starting a new adventure ❤️
Thanks Conni! ❤️ How exciting, what are your plans? 😊
My favorite moments in this video is the Ukulele kiss/head bump & the spontaneous cactus twerking. lol Don't ever break up please. 😁
We won't 😉🥰 thank you ❤️
I thought it was odd that all you could find was instant coffee. I live in Toronto, Canada and all I drink is Mexican Chiapas coffee. My favorite. (Light roast)😊
We found some coffee now. It's just in the smaller supermarkets there wasn't much to choose from 😃
Sending lots of love from a Taiwanese living in Sweden. Really love your content. Safe travel and wish you both have the BEST adventure.
Xie xie Phoenie 😍
We'll probably head up to Scandinavia again next year. We really enjoyed our time in Sweden.
Thanks for stopping by ❤️
Thanks! Enjoying your journeys!!!
Thanks for watching!
I just came across your channel and just think you both are so enjoyable to watch! Loving your vibe and happiness! Thank you for all you do.☺️
Oh thank you Shannon! :) and welcome. We loved reading your comment 🥰
Amazing footage guys...love it..
Thanks so much!
Happy video. Loving Mexico you never see normally. Travel safe.
Thank you ❤️ yes, we loved this side of Mexico too! And the next video is going to be even better 🐋🐳🐳
I’m so envious! I’m just waiting for the day I can make that same trip. So happy to watch you guys do it though! ✌🏻💕
This is just much many adventures of doing vanlife
Yeah we really enjoy exploring Mexico in our van ❤️
The instrument is the best travel companion but you got to tune It every now and then... There are a Lot of online tune apps out there. Looking UP for your First lual.
Thanks a lot, going to look into it 👍🏻😃
Sending love from Sydney Australia 🦘 great video once again.
Stay safe
The cactus desert looked beautiful, but I would just think abou the snakes in that place 😂🏜️
Also, don't all gas tanks have some kind of safety on them, like if the gas is leeking there should be smell like rotten eggs. Not from the gas, but from that safety feature they built in.
There probably were a few around, but we didn't see any.
Yeah it might be some safety feature that got activated, idk. The tank itself works properly, it might be the regulator.
@@NaickKim all the nature shows I watched from those places where about rattle snakes 😂 I'm glad you didn't see any.
I meant the leaking of the gas, because you checked the leaking with soap. But there should be a safety feature that spreads bad smell if it is leaking....
This cactus place looks amazing
Such a cool spot! Can't believe we slept there 😂
Refreshing!
Guys, you're in dangerous territory. Be safe! Also, how are you gonna get to South America? The trans-America highway has never been completed.
Thanks Gaetano ;)
We've spent a few months in Mexico before, so it't not our first rodeo. We'll keep our wits about us.
To get to South America we will ship our van from Panama to Colombia, just like everyone else.
Fabulous video again guys
Glad you enjoyed it Mark ;)
Best van life show on YT, hands down.
Kim … keep on practicing… you will master that ukulele yet…. You both bring such joy to us when we watch your videos…. I really do LOL sometimes…. Big hugs to you both ❤😮😊
Would love to see crazy cacti like that! Mexico looks so beautiful. Anja has been there, but I (Brandon) have never been. Definitely on the bucket list.
Naick is going to be a pro fisherman by the end of this journey. 😂
Although I'm Canadian, and grew up surrounded by nature, I've never been fishing. One day, for sure. 🐟
Kim how cool you got yourself a uke in Mexico, wow!! I also play a bit. The weird thing about uke is how quickly it "untunes" itself no matter what I do. Very different from my guitar that stays good almost permanently...uke, two songs and all the strings loosen (and not evenly...just some loosen, somehow)...I used a free ap "ukulele tuner" to tune it. You inspired me to play again, thanks for that ❤❤ Saludos desde Praga
just checking in to see if you have been playing ;) If not, just do it! ❤
Thanks for all the tips
When I was looking at Naick standing beside that giant cactus, I was wondering if all those small round blemishes were healed bullet holes.
I think it's just natural blemished. Most of the cacti seem to have those.
Kim, download an ukulele tuner on your phone. The newer the ukulele the more you will have to tune it. Start by tuning each time. Keep practicing…and have fun! -Jen from hawaii!
Yes, so I heard after posting this haha! They tuned it when I bought it but I didn't know you had to do it again so soon. This explains so much though. I should be getting better as I practice more, not worse 😂😂
I came here to say the same. All that hard work practicing, & it’s obviously out of tune.🤷🏻♀️ You’re doing great, it’s not you, it’s just not properly tuned!
Haha, indeed was thinking the same, brand new ukelele, lots of different climates (temperatures/humidities) and loads and loads of jittering about in the back of a van will require quite a bit of tuning ;-)! Because you are doing a great job (and more importantly having fun!) practicing, it would be a pity if it's out of tune, so don't get discouraged if it didn't sound right yet 😀!
Prachtige video weeral tussen al die reuzecactussen daar. Je hebt wel geluk Kim dat je zo een goeie kok bij jou hebt. Alles ziet er lekker uit. Nog veel plezier op jullie avontuur en wees voorzichtig. Groetjes , Gilberte
Bedankt Gilberte, groetjessss
Did you end up figuring out what that bird was next to your van?
Greetings from the U.S.! Mexico is truly beautiful! Enjoy and safe travels!
It's a cormorant. We see them quite a bit in the water near shore. They swim around and dive underwater to catch fish.
Not sure what was up with this one though, they normally don't come up to people.
We really love Mexico as well. It's one of our favorite countries.
So, when is the Van Life Cookbook coming out??
We're actually working on something right now ;)
Not exactly a cookbook, but even better!
There are a lot of tuners that you can buy. Keep practicing and tune frequently.
Going to look into it, thanks lot 👍🏻
And Kim cooks! (and not too shabby a sandwich at that!)
YES! Haha :) there are many things that Naick is much better at cooking than me (generally things that are more refined like sauces, etc.), but I can make some mean comfort food dishes ;)
Nice video
Thank you ❤️
Ooooweeee...cartel holy land lol
Stat safe and bon voyage
Thanks a lot 👍🏻
Music is great and views too
Thank you 😍😍
You can sing a great Mexican song with only TWO chords on the ukulele. Am and D repeated. (Tip download a phone app to 'tune' the uke) - Here's the text, you probably heard the Santana version?
"[Am] Oye cómo va
[D] Mi ritmo
[Am] Bueno pa' gozar
[D] Mulata"
Just keep repeating. Do some plinking around for an impressive solo in the middle! Just use the force! I can't put links in here but pm me, if you want help playing it (LOL I'm retired music teacher and RV nomad.) I teach it other nomads all the time coz it's so easy.
Thank you ❤️❤️🥰
Love this!✌🏻💕🎶
Ulrika 😀
Great idea.
Watch Tiny Tim videos and sing Tiptoe Through the Tulips with your ukulele
jejtje jongens jullie zijn gek!!!! en Winnie moet leren zwemen, groetjes van Croatie...
Gelukkig doet gek zijn geen zeer :) :)
Veel plezier daar in Croatië!
Love the videos of the trip. However how are you getting drone shots while driving?
Kim gets out of the car😊
i think the uke is out of tune hahaha and you're putting the fingers on the wrong place sometimes, but good luck learning to play it, its so much fun :)
Yes we had a livestream this morning on Patreon and a bunch of patrons said it was out of tune as well! That's good, that means it's not me, it's the ukulele 😂🤣 I need lots of practice though, haha
Ever consider buying post cards or items from each town/city you visit? It would be a great video when you end your trip
yeah but the amount of post cards would add up haha. So we buy fridge magnets from every country we visit now. 🎉
@@NaickKim true! Digital post cards would great too!
Did you try turning the connector around? It is very possibly a one way system
There's only one way everything fits.
It's something with our regulator. Either it's broken or is in s safety mode (thinking there is a leak).
@@NaickKim Maybe they've sent you one that's US to Europe instead of visa versa
Atleast Vinnie got washed🥰
😂😂
Do you have any concerns when you reach Panama and getting around the Darièn Gap?
To get to South America we will ship our van from Panama to Colombia, just like everyone else. It's a bit of a hassle, but there's no other way.
Looks like some pretty great stops.
If you make it to Ecuador for July, August and September there is a huge chance of spotting more than one kind of species of whale along with sealions, blue-footed boobies and more. In Mompiche you can hire a guide that is authorized to take you into a conservation where you can spot howler monkies which is so cool!
So many things to see and do and recommend 90 days minimum if visiting Ecuador.
When we moved to Ecuador from Canada we brought our bbq and had to jerry-rig the thing to get it to work, but our issue is that it cooks very high on low and if you close the lid with only two burners going it sits at about 350.
As a long time musician, I would recommend that you first learn how to tune the strings before learning the chords. You can find tuning apps for your phone. After that the chords should sound better.
Thanks David, going to look into that 👍🏻
guys if youre still planning on driving to argentina whats are you planning on doing to cross the darien gap
i have driven to argentina before and crossed the gap on the ferry but they went out of business in 2018 and now there is no way across
To get to South America we will ship our van from Panama to Colombia, just like everyone else.
Wonderful
Ich Liebe deine Shaksuka ❤👍🏼🇮🇱
Danke!
Watch for Snakes!
Always on the lookout for those in the desert 😉
Are you going to cross somehow to Mazatlan?
Yes we are. We're going to take the ferry from La Paz to Mazatlan. Probably in a week or two.
💡👍
o boy.. im first to comment! the timing!! looks amazing!!!
Hi David! That really is great timing 😁🥳🥳
The military and police are there to keep you safe right up until they are not. It is so with all things.
Isn't it. I'd rather deal with Mexican police than US police.
@@NaickKim Wow! Well said. At least with Mexican police the corruption is intelligible.
And I'm from the US. Born in Alabama in fact.
Kim, every 42 days you break the law for an hour? That's a lot when you think of it. 😁
Can't figure out the pun here 😂
@@NaickKim You said 99.9% of the time you aren't breaking the law
@@MadDogAdventures 😂😂
Wouldn't that be once every 1000 days, though? 🤔 Too early for maths
@@NaickKim 1 hr per 1000 or 42 days
#ResponsibleAdult 😂
That's me 😂🙋🏻♀️
連西班牙文都會😂真棒
Just a little bit 😁
Don't get killed.
Most people that visit Mexico usually survive 👍
A little out of tune.. Don't quit your day job.. Oh wait... You already did.. 😀😀😀
😂😂😂 gonna become a fulltime ukulele player... Someday 😉😉
