I'm probably what the community would call a "Sprocket apologist" I always thought her moveset was cool and I didn't really understand why she got so much hate. Over the years however I started to kinda understand it given her moveset isn't as easy to get the hang of for everybody especially on higher difficulties. I still like her a lot though! And as for her place in Academy, I really liked her there, she was one of my favorite characters in seasons 2 and 3. And Grey DeLisle did a great job voicing her! Though considering all the other roles she's played it should really be no surprise.
Literally, unironically, my 2nd favourite Skylander in the Tech Element out of all of them. I will never get the hate for this character - _well_ I will, that being, *slow* - and yeah, and I wish Sprocket could act a little quicker. That will never outweigh the fun factor of the turrets, tanks, and mines to me though.

I like Sprocket. She's fun to use and she has land mines (to protect your property) and you can get a lot of damage in if you know what you're doing. She's not super easy to use effectively but I think it's worth the investment
Basically videos are my favourite Krypt Krusher videos. His sarcasm is a great part of what makes him funny. I just got Krypt King, he is based, Kyrpt is even more based. Of course Enigma, Short cut, Wallop and Knight Light are better but he is more based then all of those. Keep it up Krypt
As someone who picked the skylanders they liked concept wise, over how good they were, I definitely would’ve grabbed if I noticed since I love builder characters like Tf2 engie l, and think they add and encourage more strategy more than any other choice in their game. BUT, I definitely would’ve been annoyed trying to conquer multitask/managing as her when she has only one good quick move, still would’ve played her a lot! But I can tell her not being as good as people wanted, especially when she is the only character that fully embraces a strategic building based play style, and has a concept/design that easily appeals to people who are fans of character who are similar in other games.
You can actually place the turret without the animation in Superchargers and Imaginators. You just have to jump and place the turret right after that. It's quite the tight timing, but really satisfying and it really helps Srocket a lot. Oh and she is the best character for speedrunning SSF HD, because hes has some OP glitches.

I’ve heard a statement about sprocket and I agree with it. The statement was that she would be better if she was in the tank the whole time. My move set for if she was in the tank would be her first move being shooting, her second one being dropping the mines, and her third one being her popping out a turret.
As someone who was not in touch with the Skylanders community, wtf Skylanders community. Sprocket’s cool. Not saying she’s that good but I had a great time playing as her. Whacking enemies with renches, throwing mines, knocking mines into enemies. It was just a nice feeling. And of course her quips and overall attitude gave the impression of someone who was both chill and skilled. Plus, a nice design to package it all. Maybe the occasional tank ride. I figured out it wasn’t the best way to go about things. It’s better to just let the turrets do their thing. Edit: Yup. Yup, I get that. The combo’s are definitely underwhelming, but the new rench looks cool at least and three mines are kind of lifesavers. Didn’t really do the gearhead path. Maybe the tank is better than I remember. I still like her, though. Also, I’m not sure what’s up with Giants. Hitting mines works fine on the Wii at least.
Sprocket is fine. Sometimes i play as her. Edit: just finished the video. I never got her wow pow myself even though I have her figure. But it doesnt seem too good to me. And her soul gem is indeed a bit lame even if the upgrade is decent. First
As many people say, increasing the speed and knock back on melee and increasing build speed would fix most of her problems, but another thing should also be done. The basic turret when controlled should give you damage reduction and either a faster firing rate or more damage. Now, it's purpose for existing is clear from the start, as a final stand ability rather than something you always use. This should stack with later changes, and perhaps increase depending on the form, like the tank making you a tank.
I have been watching your videos for quite some time now and I love your videos! I've been trying to get back into Skylanders for quite some time but some of your vids actually are pretty useful. But I wanted to ask if you could do a video on one of my personal favorite trap team members lob star, he is a very personal favorite of mine and I love his character so much, again love your videos and hope you do more amazing videos like this in the future!
Can you do Fright Rider next? He is often one of the first on "most forgotten" lists, but I think he is really strong, especially with his relatively fast and powerful combo attacks
Imo the problem with sprocket is there’s just too much going on. The upgrade paths are trying to balance turrets, tanks, wrenches and mines so none of them really excel to be that fun and reliable main move. If you made some of her upgrades (tank, turret explosion and mine lob) part of her base moveset or combined them with other upgrades, that would atleast leave room for more damage upgrades.
I've had to play giant's on hard mode with sprocket and oh my god it is the most miserable thing to do in any game, since the turrets are piss weak in that game you basically have to go for the monkey wrench path and just mine spam since the damage actually stacks with the mines in giants, but the turrets are pretty useless and the fact that you can't even insta launch a mine like in later games really hurts her moveset

Well if you play alone Sprocket is garbitch. But if you play with friends it could be really fun. For example my friend and i played always a flashwing sproket comb and it was hideous. I would love to see a video which shows some cool a powerful Skylander combinations if played together. And to clear up what i mend when i said flashwing sproket comb we did the following. 1. Sproket builds a turret and flashwing protect her 2. Flashwing set up her beacon and stands next to sprokets turret. 3. Sproket builds another turret and go’s in to tank mod 4. ??? 5. Profit
Okay i really like playing as her in giants. I've found a good combo that works with my play style. I set up turrets and mines about and swing the rentch here and there but also making sure the turrets are up and when needed hop into one lying down mines and blowing it up. And setting up a new turret as well her play style has to fast ans quick and yes that "mine golf" was bad but after a few trys it can be useful and has great range.
Ok... Now I am just sad that their isn't something in tank mode at least in the games with jumps, where you can do a mine jump by running a mine over with your tank, maybe with an AOE when you slam down.
99% of skylanders backstories are the skylanders having a friend/family member, someone evil kidnaps them, they join the skylanders too find their loved one, then said loved one is never heard from ever again in any way shape or form

Upon playing Sprocket recently, I will say that she is not for everyone. Sprocket is nowhere near as bad as the worst Skylanders I have ever played, but her lacklustre move set and how slow she can build up her turrets makes her the weakest out of the 8 cores. Edited: Her Tank can deflect damage from enemies in Giants and Trap Team, which was completely forgo in Vicarious Vision’s games and Imaginators.

I like using Sprocket because it is a fun challenge I like doing on the hardest difficulty of any of the games.
