Just picked up a Super Clodbuster! Always wanted one as a kid but couldn't afford it. Had plenty of others, Falcon, Blackfoot, Hornet, Hotshot. Love Tamiya kits!
Loved this truck every since it came out and I'm a proud owner of 22 and I have 3 of them in the works. I use to own 25 of them, but I sold 3 of them many years ago.
Wow! How did you manage to get so many? I have one and I love it. Just got a 3D printer so will now be able to print all those replacement parts and upgrades I couldn’t afford all those years ago.
Hi Wayne, could you please point me in the direction of spare parts, particularly a battery cover (7800403), I don't mind if its Original, 3rd party, or an STL file I can 3d print, its the last thing I need to make it run and I've been searching far and wide
Thank you so much for the video. It brings back so many wonderful memories of when I first got into the Clod Buster. As soon as the kit was released in 1987, I sold my Tamiya Blackfoot and put the money towards a new Clod Buster. I have absolutely no regrets as I still have my first Clod Buster though there are almost no stock parts left on it. I do not think that I'll ever get rid of any of my modified Clod Busters and Bull Heads.
@@Locoboy5150 yes, it's the same voice for all of their videos back in the day who sounds exactly like the actor who played the library cop in Seinfeld.
Does anyone remember or know how much these were in the 80's? I had one, but I was a kid and got it for Christmas. I can't remember how much they were...
I bought my Tamiya Clod Buster in 1987 right after the kit was first released. I bought mine via mail order from America's Hobby Center and it was either $210 or $220. That was by far the best price that I had ever seen. Right after I ordered mine, America's Hobby Center raised the price to about $250.

you can tighten down the servo savers if you have a strong servo
Man I'd love to have a Clod Buster..
Sweet trucks.
I was into RC in the 90's I remember batteries taking forever to charge and getting very little use time, not like today!
Wow! Seems cool even today.
This is epic! But i never saw a commercial like this in the 80s. We got all the Tyco commercials where i grew up
These videos have a unique scene, I love them.
On my channel I have the ones I could get.
Dang...dreams of my childhood right there. Had the Midnight Pumpkin QD
my friend had a Clod Buster, my brother had a MP QD also. I had the Kyosho Big Brute. The good ole days.
@@LoneWolfSnowplowing that one sounds cool
Still the best!
WHERE CAN I GET THE OIL FILLED SHOCKS
They didn't mention how horrible the steering is
Anybody else think the narrator sounds like or is the library cop from Seinfeld?
Wow, yes
He sounds to me just exactly like the same narrator for all of the vintage Tamiya videos from back in the day.

My dad has an original somewhere such a shame it’s in awful condition (like in a state where you try unscrew any of it it all breaks)

Your English is bad....
It's not "a batteries"... It would have been
"a bunch of batteries"...

Looks like original Samson 1
That's what many believe the clod to be based off, Samson1
@@BRMN8R I still don't understand why Tamiya put the body so fucking high..
@@RC-ty5ym put the rear mounts in the front and use traxxas battery strap hard were for the rear body sets a bit over 3/4'' lower
How did they get a camera small enough to mount on the side back then?
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a "small" 8mm camera
What color do you think the blue clod is? TS-10? TS-23?
I think it has a two tone blue paint scheme... I'm not sure what color designations they used... I hope this helps.
They are honestly so close, I'd say TS-23.
hello I have a clodbuster but the control futaba no longer works, can you recommend a current one.
Dumb question
