I didn't even attempt this. I think its ridiculous that you have to clear the entire outer layer just to get the inner prizes, at that point its not really based on luck

If you hit the main prize on the layer it unlocks the rest of the layer. That being said - I was severely unlucky in my rolls.

It depends on how early you hit the main reward. If you hit the main reward for a layer it unlocks the rest of the layer.
The first layer cost 50 wild cores per roll - so if you were super unlucky it would take 20 rolls to unlock - you get a lot of free rolls from the events, like 8 for free so I think it would cost 400 wild cores for the first layer if you didnt get it early.
The second layer cost 150 wild cores per roll, and there are 12 rolls. So if you got it on the last roll it would cost 1850 wild cores.
The third layer costs 20 coins per roll so 1,000 wild cores per roll. There are 4 prizes in the last row so it would cost 4,000 wild cores to unlock everything.
