यह इस पर निर्भर करता है कि cancer कौन सी स्टेज में है। आमतौर पर first और second स्टेज में सर्जरी होती और कुछ मामलों में साथ में chemo और radiotherapy भी। इनमे ज्यादातर मामलों में मरीज़ ठीक हो जाता है। Third और खासकर fourth स्टेज में ज्यादातर chemo और radiotherapy से ही इलाज होता और cancer फैलने के कारण मरीज़ का बचना मुमकिन नहीं हो पाता। इसलिए आपको लगता है की ये थेरेपी इस्तेमाल करने वाले बच नहीं पाते।
