Love these little fellas. We had 3 at home throughout the years, then we moved on to the Corsa C (also owning 3 of them). And when packing a Family II engine (even the humble C20NE), they turn into great little pocket rockets.
this car was launched here in Brazil in 1994 to replace the tired Chevrolet Chevette that had been on the market since 1973, the Corsa was a huge hit here in the Brazilian automobile market due to its rounded shape and for having factory electronic injection, it became one of the best-selling cars here in the country in its Sedan Version, it was discontinued in 2012 to make way for the Chevrolet Onix, only two generations were sold here, the B do Vídeo (1994 - 2001) and the C (2002 - 2012) very good, their videos
Opel couldn't figure a way to place the horn where the airbags was, so they placed the horn buttons away from the center of the steering. Trouble was, the buttons would wear off very quickly and suddenly you had a hole where the horn button was supposed to be. I can only imagine that this is the second or even third steering this Corsa has had installed in its 25 years.
@@Roddy_Zeh I've seen owners of these old Opel just duct tapping the horn switches, because they can't be bothered installing a new steering wheel. I can't blame them for the duct tapping the steering, really, since these steering wheels are hard to find these days.
@@Roddy_Zeh Funny, I just saw a first gen black Zafira 1.8 and when I looked inside, sure enough the steering was all worn out and the airbag pad and the horn switches were held-up by duct tape. Dashboard looked like it had been attacked by an axe murderer, as everything was smashed and the seats were all ripped. The exterior was a mess; rot everywhere, faded paint, the logo in the back was missing the A after the Z, so it's no longer an Opel Zafira, it's now an Opel Z FIRA and the owner painted the wheel covers in black... He's probably thinking that painting the wheel covers in black made his minivan look "badass"... 🤦♂

Yeah, we had that same issue in our Zafira.
