AVGN #27: “Silver Surfer” - Reaction

So here we got a superhero that I know nothing about. Other than getting the new neighbor discount and a free t-shirt, of course. But seriously, I don’t think I could ever play this game. Like, for the first time in this series, seeing the Nerd’s gameplay footage genuinely pissed me off so much seeing how brutally and unfairly difficult this mess really is. And this is coming from the person who 300 percented cuphead, beat every SSBU spirit battle without spirits and skills, and even beat the first 6 Mega Man games. To put it simply, do not play this game. Do not do ANYTHING with this game. Don’t even watch this reaction. Wait. If you’re reading this, it’s probably already too late. Welp. o7

Hehe, this was the first AVGN episode I ever saw, back in 2010 or 2011. I think I was 15 years old at the time. By the way, James' (former?) friend Bootsy can beat this game pretty consistently. He made a few videos about that in the past. Apparently, James didn't really play the game properly, there are some items he didn't use, that let you clear the entire screen. That's how you get around parts like 10:18.

Silver surfer is a strong dude i remember reading a comic where he was fighting thanos and plus pretty underated unless you read fantastic four comics
