  • This is Cattolica, Italy. My Italian friends told me that Rimini could be a bit wild and hectic, so we decided to try Cattolica just to the south instead. Most of the visitors were Italians, so that should count for something!
    These are my impressions.

My family and I went there in the Summer of 2021, when Italy won the Euro football championship. Great times, great little town, very nice beaches. We also did trips to the beautiful cities of Urbino and San Marino, as well as Rimini (but that was a bit run down).

Nice video, and opposite to the title, very positive👍
You have to take into account, that italians love children, so a lot of is centered on them. Animation, activities and even the water barriers are made to entertain/secure them.
I think, Cattolica is best of these towns around Riminis beaches. Not too small, not too big. Old enough, and also new. Good shopping.
Snd don‘t forget the surroundings: San Marino, San Leo or the Parco San Bartolo, not too forget a lot of small towns in the hinterland.
Or outlets of ICEBERG or MaxMara in San Giovanni in Marignano. Or the racetrack in Misano. Too much to list…
P.S. i am going there since my childhood, and i am 48 now :-)

Cool travel report👍 kinda reminds me of Lignano Sabbiadoro, which is very close to Venice. Lignano is also tourist oriented beach city with lots of shops, arcades and attractions. We spent pretty much all of our family vacations in my childhood there. Even though I pretty much know the place in and out and get bored within 5 minutes, I still kinda want to go there again😆 Greetings from Lotasticland

Oh, c'mon! How can you eat piadina with cappuccino??? You are breaking the holy Italian food rules! 😮

Bloody nightmare! Went a few years back with small kids. Kids loved it of course. It’s basically Blackpool in the Adriatic, but with sun beds. Sun beds are expensive and packed so closely together that if a person turns over at one of the beach, everyone else in that row has to too 😅
