- Mission: How To Get Model OX. Area N, from Mega Man ZX for the Nintendo DS. No damage taken. After completing the game, Vent or Aile is now able to access Area N. Here there are two methods of obtaining Biometal Model OX- Defeat Omega, or defeat eight returning reploids from Megaman Zero 3 and 4. The actual MMZ3 and MMZ4 game cartridges must be inserted into the DS GBA slot when attempting to open the door to the boss rush rooms. After defeating the eight reploids or Omega, Vent acquires a Mysterious Rock which can be taken to Fleuve and forged into Model OX. Link below for video featuring Omega battle.

It's more like a reward for faithful fans of the series who bought the previous games. By the time this game came out, MMZ3 and 4 were pretty inexpensive. Don't cheapen this awesome addition by calling it DLC you fucks

it's not needed to buy Zero 3 and 4 seriously, you can just fight Omega in the game, that was made for those who played the other games and still had them, don't jump to conclusions
They give you waaaay more freedom in these boss battles than mmz ever did
The Mega man zero/zx legacy collection allows the linking between the z3 and z4 bosses in the settings I think but I'm glad I waited for so long, worth the wait and best play of the game.
Of all; Sol Tiation was the most nerfed, as she now doesn't have that deadly heat mechanic.
The rooms are a lot bigger as well; Flizard and Childre are much easier for it.

Wow... I never knew about this! I never had nor played any of the Megaman Zero games, so I couldn't access this.
you can still get model ox without the gba games some would say its a little harder but all yo had to do is fight omega (zero) from mmz3 hes in the same area just one level above these rooms he is a piece of cake with Model x and only moderately challenging with zx but it also depends on your luck as sometimes hes hyper aggressive and sometimes hes not
Strange how Model 0X looks exactly like the actual Zero and not a fusion of X and Zero like how ZX does...

I wish they had this accessible in ZX Advent. It would be so cool to add all these Zero 3 and Zero 4 reploids to the transformation list, and reaccess Model Ox in the form of the Omega Zero transformation.

You can get mysterious rock before beating the game but you cant use model ox until you dont finish the game.
wait, most of these bosses have a certain weakness. back in MMZ4, Mandragos weakness was using the zero knuckle, but then, whats her weakness here if you dont have such weapon?

He used it against me THREE times in a row. The first I used a normal shot, thought it stopped him, but he sudenly did again, then I used jump slash and, again, thought he would stop... well... he rushed at me again, I tried to use the saber, but he was "invencible" due to jump slash.
ZX Omega is the hardest megaman boss in the franchise.

You forgot to mention that it doesn’t work in easy mode (casual scenario mode in the legacy collection) unless you use action replay or some other modding

You can use OVERDIRVE on other models than OX in cost of BM Power.
Using Overdrive on the Four Guardian Biometals depletes Biometal Energy by a second like a timer, while doubling the power of all attacks (no exceptions) and enhancing them with the respective elements of Models H, L, and F.
Given that Model OX is the ultimate Biometal Form in ZX, it makes sense that it has no Biometal Energy Gauge and that Overdrive can be used anytime without limits.

I guess if the bosses' codes were tucked into the NDS cartridge... or if ZX calls the original code from the GBA Game Paks and "adapts" it to the ZX's engine. That would explain the need for the GBA cart to be inserted.
They are in the DS card, the "put this game on the gba slot" thing used to be very used back in the day, I guess in order to make you buy the older games

Well, you have more room to fight them than you did in the Zero series(the room you fight Deathtanz Mantisk is bigger than the one in the Zero series, for example), and it seems you can fight them with weapons you couldn't in the Zero series either.

you have to beat serpent to get model ox. you can fight the bosses or Omega before serpent but you can't get the form until after

Just checked it out, you gotta access the Link Mode in the main menu, and then press traingle (if in ps4) in the start menu to unlock the bosses.

@@t-universegamer7609 No, Zero with EX Skills has better damage output outside of Overdrive Hx (but that breaks the whole game anyways so I’m not counting it).
The rooms are bigger which greatly affects Flizzard, Mantisk, Childre, and Fenri. Also there’s no sunlight which is just an insane nerf to Sol. Strangely, there IS wind in the Pegasult fight, which is the best preserved one.

There’s an option in the Legacy collection to turn on Zero 3/4 Link under Link Modes.
What I've always wanted to know is wtf is a Childre Inarabita?! They didn't even try with the translations on some of these bosses, like Deathtanz Mantisk lol.
Childre Inarabita is both based on the Hare of Inaba and the Moon Rabbit, both prominent mythological creatures in Japanese folklore (in fact, all the main Mavericks in the Zero series use some deity or creature from mythology as a basis).
Deathtanz Mantisk might be based more on the Kamaitachi (or Sickle Weasel, another creature from Japanese myth), but it could be referencing the fact that the scythe-like claws found on Mantises (as well as the fact that Mantisk's human form has a face like the Reaper himself) are evocative of the Grim Reaper (or Shinigami in Japanese myth).

if you asked about megaman zx? you could download the ROM of the game and open/play it with a simulator. If you asked about how to fight the bosses of megaman zero on PC? the answer is you CAN'T. The only way to obtain model O on PC is by beating Omega on hard or normal mode
And, can't you use cheat codes to enable this bosses to simulate that a Zero 3 or Zero 4 cartridge is on the second slot with?

You would have to get a rom of MMZ 3 or 4. Some emulators have a gba slot function, so use that in combination with the roms.

ZX take place 300 years after megaman zero 4. Where you're as a human using "biometal" to transform yourself to certain megaman (X, Zero, Fenir, Leviathan,..) the bosses of MMZ3/Z4 are meant to be an Easter Egg while model OX is remained unknown if it's canon or not but it's just a corrupted data of Omega after defeated by Zero in Megaman Zero 3

I hate using the keyboard for games like this >.< with the way I play it just feels so weird having the dash not at your fingers.
Arkan Derps The way I have it set for my emulator is so that the attack, jump, and dash buttons are all directly next to each other.
WASD: Movement
K: Attack
L: Jump
Semi-colon: Dash
It works pretty well, for me at least.
