Testing some Van Laar Horns (very gorgeous horns) and comparing it into my Schilke B5L-B '81.

Wow Sir nice trumpets. Oiram III Van Laar sounds like your Schilke B5L screaming loud and clear in low and high. B9.3 is crispy and sharp sound.
Thank you sirr ❤️ yes agree, B9.3 is kind of in the middle. But if you're looking for a darker horn ballad and jazz, Oiram is the one :)

Which one was the brightest…9.3?
Hi Ken, between those 3 van laars, probably the B5 was the brightest. But the 9.3 was really zingy and it has more core and the intonation is on the spot. I mean I like my (schilke) horn too but I was really close of getting the 9.3... If I'm gonna pick one, 9.3 got my vote.
@@NeoManoscaMusic Thanks, that's good to know. I have a Schilke B3b that I love because it's really bright...but the slotting is a little loose for me.
Just a suggestion: you might want to take your coat off. And your hat.
