  • i forgot about this project file. but it's the first custom remix zerikarateka i've made! i learned a lot, and it was fun to adapt the sections of the full custom remix into just a single game. karate man is versatile like that :)
a lot of my hobby time has been going towards making double date in heaven studio, and school has been terrible recently, so please excuse the lack of consistency in uploads.
i've been steering away from weekly uploads recently anyways... typical views have gone down so now it's not a race to 1000 subs or getting 10k views again or whatever, it's just a fun little place to put things i like. it's relaxing in a way.

Incredible, this is exactly how I imagine it would look if this were a real track in game

wonder if the nintendo copyright would cover an independent full-on karate man game
what software is this made using? probably a repeat question but technically relevant

the software is heaven studio, and technically yes, it uses sfx and graphics (redrawn graphics, though) from rhythm heaven. but, if nintendo isn't planning on making a new rhythm heaven game, i doubt anything will happen to it, as long as the devs don't get any money from it.

An incredible "remix" for an incredible song! Thank you so much for making this! How many aspects of the visuals were original made by you? I know for a fact some of those visual elements don't appear in any of the official games (to my knowledge anyway). I ask because it all looks like it could be in an any of the official games.

Where does the name for “zerikarateka” come from? Is it the combo audio cue in some version of the game?

it's just a romanization of "jelly karate man" in japanese. zerī = jelly in japanese, karateka (the name of karate man in japanese) = karate practitioner, so zerī-karateka becomes zerikarateka (zeh-ree-kah-rah-tae-kah). i thought it definitely sounded better than jelly karate man...

@@AstrlJelly When I think of Jelly in that context, i think of fluid. Karate Man has become fluid, flowing like water. Flowing Karate Man
