He first ceased GOLDENEYE from putting London in the stone age, stopped World War 3 against Elliot Carver because TOMORROW NEVER DIES, stopped Instanbul from being blown off the map because THE WORLD Is Not Enough, and stopped Icarus from dominating and thru it all, lived to DIE ANOTHER DAY. Best Bond of them all ❤️
Brosnan is my favorite Bond of them all. I Have watched his bond movies more times than any other bond. Also really enjoy Brosnan as an actor in other movies as well such as Dante's Peak.

I don't know if he's the best ever, but I liked him as Bond. I don't know why so many people are down on him as Bond. They gave him the worst Bond scripts, yet it still mostly worked well enough.

Being told he was "Too old" to continue to play Bond must have hurt. The same with Cavill and Superman, it's ridiculous really, some of the best performances have been done by "older" actors.
I completely agree with you. The older ones are the true gems.
What is crazy is the fact that Sean Connery reprised his role as bond in the 80’s(Never Say Never Again, aka the most hated Bond movie), and was older than Pierce in his last Bond film quite a bit! I didn’t know that about Cavill though
@@ianmccown Yeah sadly it's true about Cavill and he has barely just turned 40, hardly old! I'm not a fan of all these got to look young and fresh movies at all.
Experience comes with age and the best stories are usually when they are more mature and wiser from those experiences, the young year one stories have been done to death, the audience knows who they are, so let's get to the meat and bones of the character and new stories no one has seen before.
Plus the fact that Roger Moore played Bond right up until 1985, and he was three years older than Connery. I'm sure they could've given Brosnan a bit more time on screen.

Imo, Brosnan has the charisma, charm, elegance and then coiluld turn on the cold persona when he needed to. craig had the physical strength and looked like he could damage. So Brosnan first and Craig second.

I agree! Brosnan for me was my introduction to Bond but also my favorite of them all. He had a little bit of everyone's persona who played Bond.
No nooo I feel like Pierce is not underrated, or overrated. He is the perfect balance. Timothy Dalton is super underrated, and Daniel Craig was ALWAYS held to the standards of Brosnan’s Bond. I cannot think of any point where Daniel Craig hasn’t been criticized for his Bond sadlyz

the world is not enough is my favorite movie but i love his 007 movies overall. Pierce Brosnan's 007/James bond was my childhood goldeneye 64 is still an all time classic i love everything or nothing game it literally felt like an interactive movie. i swear Brosnan had the best 007 games and the best swag even when he's mackin with the ladies always soo smooth. man, i miss him. thanks for the video it brought back some good memories. he's sooo underrated Brosnan had the best iconic bond moments & had best one liners too. he just did everything with style.

While I still prefer Dalton, when Timothy stepped down, it was definitely his turn. And he definitely made the most of it, only to be undone by not the best writing and the directing just got worse. Lee Tamahori turned out to be a horrible choice for DAD.

Goldeneye was my favorite of all the Bond movies. But I also agree that Brosnan was a great actor in all his movies and was especially fond of 'Dante's Peak'.

Agree with you! However I do think its also on the directors. Martin Campbell was the best of all the directors in both the Brosnan and Craig era. Both GoldenEye and Casino Royale.

Straightening his tie during the tank chase is superb. (I think he does it again when he briefly submerges Q's boat). Brosnan managed to combine the ruthlessness of Connery with the tongue in cheek of Moore. A great Bond.
Definitely enjoyed those moments myself. I personally felt that GoldenEye and The World is Not Enough were the films he performed the strongest during his tenure aa Bond.
The James Bond I grew up with in my childhood. I miss Brosnan as 007. He was wonderful and badass. Behind the scenes he is a nice guy. He was actually supposed to he Bond during the Dalton era but one of his TV shows delayed hin until GoldenEye came.
I grew up with him as well. He was terrific at the role.

If Pierce Brosnan had gotten to play Bond when he should have (in *_The Living Daylights_* ), there would never have been a long hiatus of 9 years. The reason he didn't get to was because the douche nozzles at NBC lied to him. They promised there would be a final season of _Remington Steele_ , but in reality they only had a mini-series of a handful of episodes. No one should trust an NBC network executive on any grounds.
Brosnen had some great lines, but he had the bad luck of coming up in the 90s when they were sanitizing Bond too much away from the Original. But I did enjoy many of these.
Maybe so but I think it comes down to one major thing overall. The Director. Martin Campbell is responsible for the two greatest Bond films ever made. Goldeneye and Casino Royale

Out of bullets most likely. If you notice right after that, Trevelyan was out of ammo too so he switched to a pistol. It was a moment that really indicated they were very much trained together and were truly great friends who knew each other too well.

Except for Elektra King kill, all of Brosnan's best was in the first two movies.
Another idea since you've liked making this video a ton. Make a tribute to all the bond actors with Hall of fame song playing in the background as theme music. This will be such a masterpiece to the bond legacy from Connery to Craig. I hope you make this video in future. I subbed to your channel.

Die Another Day set up the video game "Everything or Nothing" and baby I played the hell out of that game.. I mean seriously all of Pierce Brosnan James Bond video games were cult hits! I didn't know who Heidi Clum really was until "Everything or Nothing" ... They made a looooootta loot on those games!
