I'm so glad this mod is getting the attention it deserves! Because of all the recent CZcams videos about it, it's grown a ton in such a short amount of time. It's currently nearing 200k downloads after being created just a few months ago. It's still quite a ways from the 12 mil of Pixelmon, but with everything it has to offer and the community behind it, I have high hopes!
Getting more popularity is a double edged sword, on one hand you have more support and possibly funding, on the other hand you get the attention of

@@isthatbraised if nintendo is gonna target minecraft pokemon mods again, they will probably go after pixelmon first since its larger and literally rips their models

@Joffezz yeah and they had to shut down. The pixelmon we see now is a completely different version if I'm not mistaken with some of the old creators doing it

I just hope that we'll be able to ride certain Pokémon like Arcanine and Charizard eventually, that was something Pixelmon did really well. this mod is going to get better and better, and I can't wait.
Pixelmon changed the riding mechanic and it ruined flying and swimming

Man i hope they will add more interactions like, ostile Pokémon that can damage you, setting things on fire with fire Pokémon ecc. With other mons, stuff like that
Cobblemon is not a competitor, it’s a replacement. A lot of the same developers, and simply improvements in almost all fronts. It’s just a better mod
In that case, I'm glad they are making a different and cleaner style of pokemon in mc then pixelmon is, since it feels a lot better.

How is "replacement" different from "competitor". Those words aren't even semantically in the same category.
Because it replaces Pixelmon, it competes with Pixelmon.
true, it's better in every way, kinda sucks how there are no legends- or you have to download a different mod to have them
or umm, well- there's no real use for pokemons, there are no gyms, bosses, or well, legendaries, unless you get a new mod
Man, I am just imagining combing this when the mechanics of Infinite Fusion. It would be amazing
I can't remember if it was one of the artists for a specific cobblemon server or the mod itself, but one of them is/was actually one of the sprite artists for Infinite Fusion
The amount of work of implementing all of the custom sprites as 3D Voxel models will be a huge effort even if it would be a community effort

It would indeed be very difficult- potentially an AI could be used for the more menial work as to give artists/model designers more space to work on polishing them. Doubt it’ll happen though, that seems like a lot of effort
I like that you can swap in and out different moves, in pixelmon I found myself regretting forgetting a move, or wanting to change things up for more status affects, I'll be getting this mod
I’m so hype for when they add all of the pokemon, I really love the block artstyle
The animations are so good but of course I hope when they add pokemon they animate it before putting it in and animate ones that are already here before adding more but of course that takes time.

Insane video! Pixelmon been real quiet since this mod dropped
Funnily enough, Pixelmon has been louder than ever. It took Cobblemon taking off for them to even make a statement that addressed the notorious "waiting glitch" that pretty much just amounted to them admitting the logs they were asking servers to send them for years were basically unreadable. That's not even mentioning nostalgia mode which was very clearly conceptualized for a while but rushed out now as a result of this new mod breaking the mold.
@@konohad7108 Reminds me of when Valorant got big and then Valve decided to make updates to CSGO. Competition is definitely beneficial for game/mod development.

I love cobblemon, I love Minecraft and Pokémon, so combining them were amazing. And it still captures the liveliness of Pokémon, pixel is too much more like Pokémon than like minecraft
A 200 days episode would be sick.

That was really awesome, there was a lot Awesome things you can do, awesome pokemon looks and animation and my favourite out of all of that was that you can make your vedy own fakemon i can’t wait to play it later

I think with looting it may have to do with the way that you kill it. Not sure if its still in the game, but there was a bug which makes so whether or not looting takes effect depends on what you are holding when it dies, not what you killed it with. Since you swapped to something else before the death animation finished that may be why looting didn't work, assuming that the bug is the reason why it wasn't working. Interestingly, you were able to use this to your advantage because you were able to shoot something and then swap to a looting sword quick to get looting despite not killing it with your sword.
Facts I need to know
I have been running this mod on my server for me and my friends and it just feel so more organic like it belongs in the world where the smooth 3d models of pixel mon just kinda takes you out of it.
Pixelmon had years over Cobblemon and it's still only playable on older versions, plus it's laggy and buggy.
Cobblemon is fresh and still really good.
I have to thank you for scrolling trought the entire starter pokemon screen. now i know cinderace is in the mod
My biggest issue with Pixelmon is how grindy the crafting is, but the lack of actual progression, so much work put into one part of the mod, and none in the other. Like, the gyms are so lame. Idk, I haven't played Pixelmon in a while, could be better now.
Question.....if I get into playing this, I'd prefer to do it in peaceful mode to focus on the pokemon and not on the minecraft monsters. Yet, it sounds like you need these monsters to make things in cobblemon. Will this game have a peaceful option in getting mob drops without the mobs?
I think in their discord or CZcams channel it says you can disable it if you want too.
You don't need them since they've added some loot drops but some items haven't been added to them yet.
You can disable mob spawning as its own option outside of peaceful mode to avoid mobs and they'll only spawn from spawners. There are plans to have better ways to remove vanilla mobs entirely later down the line, as well as implementing the ability to fight vanilla mobs using your pokemon. Eventually, all items necessary for completing the game/crafting items will most likely be drops from battling Pokemon

Also it might have to do with honey being basically glue when crafted into a block, idk
@@sanzei611 i think it is for glueing as in the sprite it is 2 plates of steel so you need to glue it together
the art style reminds me of the old days of pixelmon, like 1.6.4 and before that when all the pokemon were blocky.
Starter Pokémon are very rare in the wild it's crazy you kept finding them 😲
Would love to see a featture in the future, that the more aggresive pokemon, like gyarados, aggron, nidoking etc that they are more likely to attack the player, maybe when the player punches them, or have them attack mobs etc
you are going to love when you can breathe underwater, *but your pokemon can't, have fun when you forget to put them back in the ball*

Thanks, I didn't add on any packs, I just used the cobblemon modpack from technic launcher. Didn't need to adjust much

Their spawns haven't been implemented into the mod just yet, so it's only possible if a couple other mods are installed in order to do that
really good video, but how did you get the shaders to work while keeping the glowing parts on cobblemon? when i use my shaders the glowing parts just stop glowing
I'm not sure, I didn't have any issues like that. I used their official modpack from the technic launcher and just added the shaders to that. Hope this helps

This is way better then Pixelmon but Pixelmon will always have a soft part in my heart cuz most of my time spent in Minecraft as a kid was with Pixelmon servers

The devs not only made fakemon easy to implement, they actually have a guide for how to do so. There's already quite a few out there and there's plenty more on the way I'm sure

I have an issue where a lot of the vanilla mobs keep spawning and eating up the mob cap. typing in the command or changing it in the "game rules" section during world creation doesn't do anything to change this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This model is better than pixel mod. I still have the mod for a pixel mod, but I like this one even better because I like how the added animation and it has shading in it and it’s better than all those other ones
Pixelmon has alot of bugs that in this mod don't exist and that already makes it better for me

I'm pretty sure cobblemon was created because they thought smooth pokemon doesnt suit well in minecraft
And the best part, they have zombies and skeletons, and other mobs which I really like because I’m pig so much, it would be so boring no zombies chasing after you you don’t have to worry about your hunger. It really wasn’t a survival. The only thing you need it were Poké balls and you will need to find a lot of acorn trees in those would be hard to fine if you spot in the middle of nowhere I would really give this mod a 10 out of 10 or maybe even 100 I am going to download this and see if I would like this mud myself. Also seen how they add the new feature where you can customize your own Pokémon or you can make your own Pokémon but I’m going to probably make a video of it like he did with a little different. I don’t want to be a tutorial kind of guy because I think this is just too complex for me but I’m gonna see what kind of videos I can make with this mod

They should add a feature where you can verse the wonder dragon in a Pokémon battle
And another thing about the smart is that it has easy crafts, which is so much better because you would need to find diamonds for some of the things you would need like a fossil machine or something I don’t know, but you need to find special orders that you need to file which were very hard like me and my friend we go to the mines and look for this order and it would take us hours or weeks which sucked but now that they’re iron golem are around I could just kill a fuel those guys and then I can go to the cave litter find some iron, probably even gold

The map is fully dependent on which mod you download and which add on you are using to make them appear. Ask/look in their discord for those things.

What version are h playing? I play at 1.19.2 but there aren't all pkmn in that u saw
Try playing with the biomes pack, it's recommended. I was playing 1.3.2 latest for 1.19.2
