Your test knits are all gorgeous!!
I’m so happy you love the yarn ❤️
The chit chat is so fun! It really is like I’m sitting down to knit with you!

Thank you!! It is just stunning. I'm pretty sure I've figured out what I'm going to knit with it. But I'll have to make myself wait to cast it on until I've finished some of my other WIPS. 🤭
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! ❤️

So excited to see your new episode! ❤ It’s such a great feeling to be settled in your very own house 🏡. Isn’t it funny how much you can get done during even a busy season? You did so much knitting! Pat yourself on the back. I hope your hip feels better soon! I loved all your knitting plans! Good job doing baby gift knitting-I always think of it about 2 days before the baby shower 🙄. See you in the book club! 📚 👒 💕

I honestly can't believe how much I've managed to do. 😳 Definitely looking forward to working on some knitting with no deadlines! And thank you! 🥰 I've been feeling pretty much back to normal after that one day of rest. Thank goodness!❤️
I'm really excited about the baby knits. I haven't done too many of them other than the sweaters I've knit for Baby Tam.
See you there! I'm still working my way through Anne of Green Gables. I haven't finished Anne of the Island yet, but I'm getting close. I'll have to film another book video soon! 📚

Lovely video, Emily! All of your test knits look fabulous! I love the little sweaters you are knitting for your son. There is nothing sweeter than a little one in cozy hand knits. I love the idea of the classic book reading/knitting club. "An Old-Fashioned Girl" was my favorite book when I was growing up. I read it multiple times, and even had a dress that I imagined fit the description of Polly Milton's dresses in the book. I was thinking like you a shawl or heart warmer would be a perfect project to accompany "An Old-Fashioned Girl". All of your new yarns are beautiful, and will be such a pleasure for you to work with. God bless! ~Sarah

Thank you so much Sarah! How sweet. I'd love to be able to dress like Polly does. I always imagined the dresses in those sorts of books as being the most beautiful things. If I'd had one that I thought was similar growing up, I think my mum would have had a hard time getting me to wear anything else! 🤭

Dear Emily, thank you for your nice episode. Congratulations on your move and I hope, your little son will recover from his cold soon. I got so inspired by your knitting plans and: I love "Little women" and had not heard about "An Old-Fashioned Girl" - so I immediately bought it and am looking foreward to reading it. Love your baby sweaters. Best wishes, Christina from Austria

Thank you for your lovely comment, Christina! He has been doing much better the last few days. I'm so glad you've enjoyed the episode. 🥰
I hope you love reading "An Old-Fashioned Girl"!! It is such a cozy, wholesome story. I also love Little Women and pretty much every other Louisa May Alcott story I've read.

Hi Emily, so good to see you today! Your test knits look great! Yes, that was a lot, especially while you were moving but you did it! I think the main reason I love test knits is that it gives me a set deadline and I know I have to finish it by then. So no lingering wips with test knits!
Lovely acquisitions!! Holly is so sweet! I’m thankful to know her! I’ll have to look up Emily. And I was so excited to hear your name as a winner on The Fruitful Hands!
Thanks for mentioning my bags! I do have a few more available in my shop.
Yes, I love giving handmade gifts for babies too! Either knits, crocheted blankets, or (most commonly for me) quilts. Such a fun way to show love!
I hope your hip feels much better very soon!

Thank you Susan!! I agree, that is a big part of why I like test knits too. It "forces" me to keep going with something and get it done in a reasonable time frame.
She really is the sweetest! Maybe if we all go to the next Knitty McPurly retreat, I'll be able to meet you both in person! 🥰
Your bags are genuinely some of the most beautiful project bags I've ever seen. 😍 I think all knitters need one or two!
I'm really looking forward to making a few baby/gift knits! I think it will be so much fun. Baby clothes are just too adorable. I would love to do some quilting. I've dabbled in it a little, but something about it intimidates me.
And thank you!! It's been back to normal for a while now, thank goodness. 😊

Hi Emily! I watched this episode in three lovely segments while having my quiet knitting time. I'm so happy you are getting settled in the new house! I had to laugh about all the test knits ... I tend to go through spurts where I take too much on and then have to reign myself in 😂.
I'm so happy to be reading with you, Hollie, and all our fancy friends 💗. The book club is going to be so refreshing!
I can't wait to see what you decide to knit out of Emily's beautiful yarn🎉

I usually have to do that with podcasts too! 😊 It's a slow process and I know it will take a while before it feels completely and perfectly like "home" but we'll get there. And I truly do love our house already.
Yes! I've been so good most of the summer about not signing up for things and being very realistic about what I can get done... Then everything at once! 🤦‍♀️😁
I know! I'm so glad you had the idea to start it. 💕

I'm just catching up on a bunch of knitting podcasts and it was so fun to watch this one. Congratulations on the new house! It is so exciting to have a space that is your own to make your own. I'm so glad that you have knitting friends now! While i was blest to have some close friends growing up who shared my interests, I totally relate to being the craft-loving, book-loving, homeschooled girl. I should reread An Old-Fashioned Girl! It's been many years since I read it, but I believe I have a copy of it sitting on my bookshelf that I picked up at a thrift store a few years back.

Thank you!! Yes, it's been a little overwhelming at times, but such fun overall! I've only ever rented before so the ability to do whatever we want with our very own house is exhilarating.
It has been such a blessing to find likeminded ladies to befriend. I'm so grateful God has provided them. Especially at this stage, being a beginner mother, it is so lovely to know other mums who can give me advice or sympathy when needed. ❤️
It is such a good, wholesome story! I love how ordinary it is without being overly dramatic or stressful like many modern day stories seem to be.
