    Hi I recently lost one of my deep apnea 100cm carbon fiber fins (hard stiffness) do you think these leaderfins can compare to them?

    • @konafreediversreviews1175
      @konafreediversreviews1175  Před 10 měsíci

      They are probably a bit less stiff? The Deep Anea are quite stiff. The deep apnea might be a bit higher quality construction but if you lose one of these they are cheap to replace. Plus the deep apnea are probably way too stiff for you.

    I snapped my Leaderfin "Ice" (clear) fiberglass fin in half. Can I use my current Leaderfin pockets on these carbon fiber fins? If so, would guys do a short mounting video?

      Aloha Christopher. Oh no! Yes you can use those blades with your same pockets. Mounting is quite easy. We can do it for you here. Definitely need to make that video!

    My weight is 66 kilos and I use 8 or 9 kilos of lead. What fin hardness do you recommend soft or medium?

    What about hard blades for scuba diving? I have fiberglass hard and they feel like nothing to me by now. Specially with currents. Thanks!

    • @konafreediversreviews1175
      @konafreediversreviews1175  Před rokem

      Yes, for pushing more width through the water stiffer blades are better but will tire out your legs sooner. What you 'feel' is not what you really get. It should 'feel' pretty easy to kick. If it 'feels' difficult then they are probably waay too stiff.

      Yes they do. We often accompany them with the SEAC pockets because they fit so many people so well.

      Aloha Robby. It's more about the width of your foot. Also will you be wearing a booty? It's best if you can try the footpocket on first.

  • @robsproducts

    Will these match up with the foot pockets that come with the Seac Motus plastic fins? I'm about 190 lbs with my gear and fairly athletic. Currently using the Seac Motus plastic fins and definitely need something softer. Line diving to 25-30m and spearfishing as well. Medium stiffness recommended?

    Forsa vs Reg foot pockets ? I’m 5.9’ and weight about 186 pounds and I’m debating on those things plus stiffness. Like u say I have a pair of stiff blades and I won’t recommend them to my worse enemy. Any input will be appreciated.. thanks for the vid.

      Haha! 😂 We feel ya on the too stiff blades. Soft will probably be most appropraite for you J C. As for foot pockets you really need to try them on in the shop to get the best idea of fit. You can call and we can talk story about your specific requirements (808)324-4668. Ask for Conor.

    Are pure carbon fins more durable than fiberglass or vise versa? I’ll be diving often around corals and stony areas. 🥺 currently waiting for pure carbon from leaderfins.
    Edit: my fins arrived and tried them. Super loved them. Upgraded from a plastic fin. But I’m scared it’d break once I hit it on a coral

    • @АлександрК-ю3в
      @АлександрК-ю3в Před 2 lety +1

      You can protect your blades by protective film (see leaderfins official youtube channel)

    • @konafreediversreviews1175
      @konafreediversreviews1175  Před 2 lety +1

      Typically leaderfins are going to be less durable than say a more expensive alchemy fin. The protective film is a sticker that essentially reduces scratches. The stiffer the blade the more 'durable' in that it will be thicker and harder to bend. Leaderfins come with a 1 year warranty and alchemy's come with a 5 year warranty.
