Thank you. Enjoy the way you teach. I started this coat. Using 50/50 acrylic/ cotton. I needed 84 chain to reach 45 cm. But yoke looking huge. Tell me do the stitches remain the same number from being of the yoke. Mine increased with the double crochet row. Help. Please what am I doing wrong.
You are doing everything right, you will have extra 8 stitches at the end of each row while making yoke. Just check the measurements to make sure you are on the right track

The thing is I dont have measurements for kids over 6 years 😔 I rarely crochet for kids over 2 years as those are my preferred sizes

Yes, head circumference, I find that is a good starting point. I used DK yarn or it is light weight 3
