Nah Jim Carrey put his whole Grinchussy into this role. Still my favorite movie he’s ever done and my favorite Christmas movie ever. IT’S ICONIC.
Ps: that’s not a “grinch cgi smile” it’s literally Jim Carey. There is an interview where he’s himself and does the smile. He’s beyond talented!
Fun fact Max the dog was a rescue that was taken from a shelter before he was going to be put down, they saw him and loved his look and made him Max
I never knew this as a kid obviously, but the Christmas Eve party when the grinch came was a key part which is a swingers party basically 😂😂😂
Fun fact the Grinch came out before Horton hears a who so for all we know the world they are in is the same speck but stuck in a snowflake before Horton found it.
Jim Carrey can actually make the iconic grinch smile...he says it really hurts but he can do it

fun fact : the grinch when to the wrong Whoville. he was supposed to be dropped off at " Whoville from horton hears a who " but the stork messed up the delivery. also his mom's are swingers. .
I'm literally Martha May. I had such a big crush on the Grinch growing up, but I didn't realize it was a crush until I got older😂😂

Without fail, I cry 👏🏻 EVERY 👏🏻 TIME Cindy Lou says, “I came to see you. No one should be alone on Christmas.” How Taylor Momsen didn’t get so much as a Golden Globe nomination for her performance is beyond me. She was earnest and innocent without being trite or annoying like some child actors. She really held her own beside Jim Carey, who’s a force to be reckoned with on a normal movie, giving a tour de force performance of his career.
"Martha was his Christmas!" STOP IT. 😭😭😭 His backstory already makes me emotional enough! This was a blast to watch with you guys. It's one of my favorite holiday movies.

Any time someone upsets me I always say "THE IMPUDENCE! THE AUDACITY! THE UNMITIGATED GALL!"
I love the way Jim Carrey sang the iconic song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" while adding his own comedic elements to it like the hilarious sound effects. And his freak out when the sleigh takes off. "We're going to die!! We're going to die!! I'm going to throw up, and then I'm going to die!! Mommy, tell it to stop!!"
"To finally feel the Grinch's touch again", I died! Thank you for this reaction, this is one of my favorites.
The strange wind blowing is a neat reference to the 'Halloween is Grinch Night' cartoon. When a sour-sweet wind blows it's a sign of the Grinch's impending arrival.
