Ja, mir sind da keine Abgänge zu Ohren gekommen. Leider passiert sowas. In Holland sind diese Schiffe aber zumeist Berufsschiffe, die regelmäßig streng kontrolliert werden, sodass nichts passiert, zumindest keine Totalverluste.

Ich vergaß: Sie wurde nach Deutschland verkauft und hieß dann "Abel Tassman".
Sie verlor auch ihren schönen schwarzen Rumpf und den sandfarbenen Salon.
Habe sie später in Rostock auf der Hanse Sail gesehen, komplett weiß. 😢
Ist aber auch schon ein paar Jahre her...

@@rolfpiotrowski4325 Die Abel Tasman kenne ich von vielen Begegnungen. Sie ist mit vielen Fotos auf der Website www.tallship-fan.de dargestellt, inzwischen wieder schwarz. Was mir besonders gefällt: überall, wo sie auftaucht, wird sie auch gesegelt, d.h. sehr engagierte Crew!

Beautiful, but one they is cheating,(at 1:54 ). It seems to go very fast, but of course, they are, they are sailing and motoring at the same time, just look at that propeller wash. lol.
Yes, it was just before the start of the race. As far as I know 1 minute before passing the start line you have to switch off the engine. I don't know if the race control has checked this. The ship is listed in the race results as valid participant.
Ship Jantje at 7.42 looks like a mini cutty sark.
Did you know the original Cutty Sark still exists? I've been there in London in 2018. Okay, many parts of the ship are not original and she is permanently moored as a museum ship. But she is still there. Many other ships are gone. Whereas Jantje is actively sailed and you can get on board if you want.
