I sent an email to Honda UK recently, about the MID touch screen failures, they responded back with the following; “We can also confirm that there is a 10-year extended warranty for the screens on 23YM bikes backwards. It is part of the standard warranty. If the screen is faulty and the claim accepted by our Honda Contact Centre, then it will be replaced free of charge.” So good news for all bikes 2023 and backwards, I guess 2024 have the newer updated screen and are covered by the usual 2 year Honda warranty. 👍
Hi guys, I've just watched your new vid and realised I hadn't commented here. They used to do hill climbing up that hill and belive it or not, speeds of 75 mph and times of less than 40 seconds from the bottom to the top, was a great event and had gone on for years but the council spoiled it in the end as they always do. Ewa that Rd in Feb! you certainly like to push yourself, well done 👍👍👍👏

Back in the day an old mate bought the Honda African Twinn. He loved it touring around Wales. But he said the biggest selling point was nearly all road side repairs could be done with the basic tool kit that came with the bike that Honda provided! Safe cruising girl ...
Don’t think you can do that these days with all the electrics and complications, easy or not I would not manage by myself anyway! I do fancy an old AT for some off-roading one day. What’s your bike?

Oddicombe, i know what that hill is like. We used to Race Hillclimb up there, 1000cc Hillman Imp. I think it got stopped after one year a single seat race car crashed after the finish line & killed the driver when the car went on its side into the trees taking his head off !! Loving the Videos Guys, The camping ones make me laugh as i did my first Solo Camping trip last year From Plymouth to Nottingham-shire , and first time cooking for myself at the age of 68. Nothing beats to go for spin to clear the head. I noticed your bark busters clamps are upside down, where’s it’s meant to go under the cable housing. But if it works it works , mine under the cables as it touches the the adventure sports tank, maybe I try the clamps the other way sometimes if I can be bother taking it apart lol

Hi Jaine, Rich here. I promise you its not just ladies that have these moments, I have been riding 20 years and still have times that i question myself and decisions etc, Its this fear and constant evaluation that keeps you safe and not complacent. Dont see it as a bad thing. Ride Safe, Rich & Ewa

I think I can do all coffees but for whatever reason the older I get the more instant coffee makes me feel unwell otherwise it would be so much more convenient to just have the instant one! Do you have any trips planned this year?

Thinking about a Wales tour, but playing it by ear.. Next year the TT.. Always been on our bucket list.. So fingers crossed

When the children were younger I had a Vw camper and we used to come down south Devon all the time,we won £185 at lady’s mile camp site in dawlish,love all that area from dawlish to brixham there is so much to see & do.the other coast from Exmouth all the way to Weymouth is a great area too.
Yes its got a Victorian Street and a Full Steam Train upstairs too! Cool place if your visiting. You just cant go wrong if you hug the coast anywhere in the south west

Great fun can be had in the summer - walk down to the cafe, Oddicombe Beach, across the bay track, Babbacombe Beach, and back up the second hill past the Carey Arms pub (one you 'left for later') Enjoy the sound and smells - Clutches burning, tyres smoking and confused drivers wondering why their front wheel drive cannot get a restart after they stopped in panic.
I have driven down the other beach once before but the road was closed so that was some reversing in my car 😂 I really need to speak to IAM / DAM for some extra training, I heard they are great courses! What is your favourite spot for a bike ride in Devon?

OR start at Newton Abbot, Totnes, Dartmouth, Blackpool Sands, Modbury, Ivybridge and back on another loop to Ashburton, A38 turn up to Haytor at Bickington and down past your camping coffee table to Bovey Tracey. My winter dry days/out of season - It's not Norway but it warms up the engine and it's usually reasonably quiet this time of year.
We love dartmoor too, The Dartmoor Loop is always a good quick ride. You can stop at Jolly Bike shop in bovey or the Rainbow cafe bike shop on that route too

I'm surprised that after 8k you still have some fears The fact that you are out on your bike in crap weather tells me you have confidence My wife had a similar issue to certain riding issues Just keep riding and stop the overthinking If it niggles you, then turn around and go up and down that hill until the issue goes away, then move on to another issue Or ride a different bike on the same hill to see if its the bike that's the issue My wife ditched the big bike and rides wherever she wants now Good luck After that coffee I'm surprised you didn't carry the bike up on uour shoulder
Chill Girl😂. I know how you feel about loosing confidence after a long lay off from riding. I couldn’t ride for at least 9 months due to a ruptured Achilles and now in the winter months it is scary riding in the wet and especially on a big tall bike.
Very well done Eva! Going downhill is much easier (correct line, engine braking, gentle use back brake and gravity), going up is more difficult to master (correct line, low gear, balancing throtle and clutch). The Stelvio (both ways) is a breeze compared to our cold and moss laden slippy roads...lol.
Its so annoying we have to deal with idiots like that guy. The problem is stupid people are always happy, because they dont know they are stupid! Everyone else suffers

Do you think so? I call it “my little bike”! I am aware that is big and need to be more on the ball when stoping parking etc but once I’m riding it makes no difference. I find my AT easier to ride than the tiger 800 I had. What’s your bike?
Honestly, i think its just a case of getting used to a bike, its always intimidating at first but once your used to it youll not think about it anymore. We rode CB500X in Sicily, in the wind they were more of a handful on high bridges as they are light.
Great job negotiating the hill , moss can be deadly . So can idiots in silly blue cars , it seems . We call that cowboy coffee , if you put a little bit of cold water in after a minute or so the grounds sink . But you always get a few in your teeth , 😅.But kudos to you for being self sufficient , and not a Starbucks Adventure Rider . Technology is scary , makes these bikes uneconomical to fix as they get older , I wish we could still buy new simple bikes . Anyways enjoy your travels ,
You are so right about the simple bikes, Rich recently test rode the Scrambler 400 x and thought it was a great simple bike, Same story with the benelli 500 x. They are going to make a come back we think. We have a selection of coffee making methods, this is the Lazy option lol

You are right I don’t hold back, sometimes can’t believe people are so oblivious to motorbikes. I think after my slide on ice I am bit more cautious of the road suffice 😂 I love Scotland! How is riding the dct on steep roads? Do you ever take control and override the dct? I would be scared it puts me in too high gear on switchbacks
I suppose the other half is cleaning the house and getting dinner ready. How can you drink coffee like that?? What you want is good old instant coffee, milk, and sugar.
I do like some sweet milky coffee every now and then but that just adds one more thing to carry with me! You have to try the coffee this way one day is not as strange as it looks like 😂
AT looks intimidating because of the wheels being bigger. Most big bikes are over 200kg as long as I don’t drop it weight is not an issue at all, I find it easy to ride and handle. I’m 167cm/5’6”. Are you thinking of getting an Africa Twin too?
If you really are going to do some off roading id agree, you dont want a AT, Too heavy and expensive to be dropping over and over. You want small and light like a CRF300 Rally for example. We love the idea of off roading but in reality a gravel track is at best what we will do
We have been looking at some cool mobile espresso machines to take with us, Did you see the handpresso episode? that was a cool coffee gadget but a bit too much hassle
My Original plan was to go to the cafe there for a coffee, but we have learnt to adapt and overcome! We quite like brewing our own coffee when out and about now, All part of the out doors experience...

This is Rich replying, Ewa wears Oxford mondial 2.0 jacket and Motogirl leggings. My advice though as a bloke is to get her vouchers or give money for sportsbikeshop where she can order and try on what she likes at home, because I can promise you what you pick will be wrong 🤷♂️🤣 We will often order 5 different jackets in different sizes pick the one you want and send the rest back. Sportsbikeshop are great to deal with, free returns etc

Fixed is fixed lol! One of us has it wrong then, or maybe its because ours is the L variant, but i can confirm they do work well

We like to use our Espresso maker at home and fill up the flask to take with us

How do you ride so confidently on that big bike? It is intimidating even for some male riders.
Do you think so? I call it “my little bike”! I am aware that is big and need to be more on the ball when stoping parking etc but once I’m riding it makes no difference.
I find my AT easier to ride than the tiger 800 I had. What’s your bike?

Honestly, i think its just a case of getting used to a bike, its always intimidating at first but once your used to it youll not think about it anymore. We rode CB500X in Sicily, in the wind they were more of a handful on high bridges as they are light.
Great job negotiating the hill , moss can be deadly . So can idiots in silly blue cars , it seems .
We call that cowboy coffee , if you put a little bit of cold water in after a minute or so the grounds sink . But you always get a few in your teeth , 😅.But kudos to you for being self sufficient , and not a Starbucks Adventure Rider .
Technology is scary , makes these bikes uneconomical to fix as they get older , I wish we could still buy new simple bikes .

You are so right about the simple bikes, Rich recently test rode the Scrambler 400 x and thought it was a great simple bike, Same story with the benelli 500 x. They are going to make a come back we think. We have a selection of coffee making methods, this is the Lazy option lol

I love Scotland! How is riding the dct on steep roads? Do you ever take control and override the dct? I would be scared it puts me in too high gear on switchbacks

I do like some sweet milky coffee every now and then but that just adds one more thing to carry with me! You have to try the coffee this way one day is not as strange as it looks like 😂

How do you find this bike? I’m not sure how tall you are, but I’m just curious how you find it a little little too heavy or is it not an issue?
AT looks intimidating because of the wheels being bigger. Most big bikes are over 200kg as long as I don’t drop it weight is not an issue at all, I find it easy to ride and handle. I’m 167cm/5’6”. Are you thinking of getting an Africa Twin too?
@@ontheroadadventure yes looking between this or new 750 transalp Honda. But I like to do some off-road also. Worried the AT might be too heavy lol.
If you really are going to do some off roading id agree, you dont want a AT, Too heavy and expensive to be dropping over and over. You want small and light like a CRF300 Rally for example. We love the idea of off roading but in reality a gravel track is at best what we will do

My Original plan was to go to the cafe there for a coffee, but we have learnt to adapt and overcome! We quite like brewing our own coffee when out and about now, All part of the out doors experience...

This is Rich replying, Ewa wears Oxford mondial 2.0 jacket and Motogirl leggings. My advice though as a bloke is to get her vouchers or give money for sportsbikeshop where she can order and try on what she likes at home, because I can promise you what you pick will be wrong 🤷♂️🤣 We will often order 5 different jackets in different sizes pick the one you want and send the rest back. Sportsbikeshop are great to deal with, free returns etc

@@ontheroadadventure They are great. I travel a lot for work and always take my Aeropress Go with me -- no more crappy hotel room coffee! Light, compact, around about £30 and I've had mine for a couple of years now, no issues.
