  • In this video we going to show, what is the biggest issues and failure points on the VW / Skoda / Seat / Audi 1.8 TSI , 1.8 TFSI , 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TFSI engines. 99% of the time the complain is the engine oil consumption. In this video we going to show, what is the only way to solve this annoying problem.
    Spoiler alert!
    The issue is the thin oil piston ring. But to be able to install thicker one, a new piston will be required.

    The gen3 EA888 is even better. The MK7 Golf 1.8T that I have is making 270HP and 325ftlb torque with just stage 1+ software from Unitronic. All I had to add was an intercooler, fluidampr on the side of the crank, poly engine/trans mount, dogbone insert, intake, and charge pipe kit. I have 103k miles on it so far. It's tuned for 93 octane, I've been running a full syn 5w-30 the entire time with the software. I drive it five days a week in the winter, and routinely drop it into third from sixth, floor it to 5.5k rpm with the stock clutch to pass people like a missile. It's strong all the way up to 100mph, it'll creep up to 140mph. If I drive it slow I get up to 54mpg. It is ridiculous. When this engine blows up, I'm definitely rebuilding it. People are getting up to 175k+ miles out of these with no multiport injection, no carbon cleanings, no timing chain issues, no pvc failure. They built them too good 😂. Probably why VAG wants to go all electric, so they can screw everyone!

    The oil injectors under the pistons, are on the same side as are the petrol injectors on top of the pistons. This makes the pistons become cold one one side, and hot on the other, which is what leads to the problem.

    • @crank3646
      @crank3646  Před rokem

      The problem is the bad design of the oil piston rings, they are to thin

    • @nomayor1
      @nomayor1 Před rokem +1

      @@crank3646 As said, the problem is unequal thermal stresses. There is a company which makes dual oil injectors which replace the original ones, and the problem is solved.

    Много добър ремонт щом е с разстъргване на цилиндрите даже. 👍 8:45 това филтъра за маслото към VVT ли беше? Буталния болт на преса ли се набива през билата или е "free-floating". ps: не знаех че брадчеда ти е шефа на "Deutsche Auto parts". 😁 🛠 🥃 👍

      Щеше да е още по-добър, ако бяхме ползвали torque plate и шлайфистите не бяха разтъргали повече цилиндрите, отколкото им бях казал. За филтъра, незнам чесно казано. Free floating са буталните болтове, куту на истинските коли ака BMW-тата.

      @@buzzo89 Yes, I rebuilt the engine, and everything was working properly until I reached 50,000 kilometers, at which point oil consumption started again. I performed an engine flush, and it helped resolve the issue. Now the engine runs correctly. My conclusion is that doing an engine flush every three oil changes, at least, is advisable. Has nothing to do with that, how will that help, if you have a car that burns one liter oil per 500 km, or even more. This problem has NOTHING to do with oil quality, it's very well known, that only fix is new pistons, so you can fit the new rings.
