Nobody’s gonna see this cuz the video’s very old. Y’all really think Rodgers wouldn’t have scored back even if they ruled it a catch and the cowboys took the lead ?
They RULED it a catch, then somehow overturned it. There wasn't enough indisputable evidence in that replay, from any angle, to overturn the original call. Around 2:05 in that video, it shows the best angle, and the ref was right there to see every last movement Dez made. HE ruled it a catch. The powers that be overturned it. If you were watching that game live, you might remember how long it took for them to make a decision. Either someone's pockets were a little heavier when leaving that day, or the officiating crew didn't and replay judge were unsure of which way to lean. Either way, the refs decided this game. Horrible ending, and GB went on to blow it in epic fashion in the NFCCG. All history now.
Slayer GamingxX I'm a Dallas fan Slayer. And the Refs have been consistently calling that an incomplete pass now for about 10yrs. When I was growing it was a catch..Not anymore. I hate it. but they have been consistent.
Cowboys screwed my Lions that year so watching that catch be ruled a non catch put a huge smile on my face. You did it Cowboys, you legit made me go for the hugest rival in our division. Seeing this in 2020 still makes me smile 😂💀
Blandino's "explanation" of the Dez Bryant non catch is hilariously stupid. It's a shame that the NFL can't admit that they screwed up there. Dez wasn't "going to the ground" after he snatched the ball out of the air. He took three steps. It doesn't matter how he took those steps, only that they were taken. He advanced the football. It's not as if Dez plucked the ball out of the air and went straight to the ground. If he had, then this ruling would have made sense. Completely ridiculous officiating.
IHCTerra Taking steps isn't falling. Taking steps is taking steps. That's all there is to it. It doesn't matter how the steps were taken, only that they WERE in fact taken. There would be an argument if Dez simply fell straight to the ground after snatching the ball out of the air, but that isn't what happened. As for the football move, Dez pretty clearly attempted to stretch out and break the plain. That's why he switched hands with the ball. If he didn't want to make a football move he simply would have brought the ball into his chest. The whole reason why the ball came loose in the first place is because he made a football move. All of this is irrelevant though, considering that Dez had already established possession of the football anyway. Again, completely ridiculous officiating.
IHCTerra You're not voiding my argument what so ever. Either you're falling to the ground or you're not, and he didn't actually fall until he completed the process of the catch. He took steps. He advanced the football. He clearly transitioned as a runner, considering he was clearly taking steps and advancing the football down the field. The only reason why he fell down after snatching the ball out of the air (and after taking three steps with the ball) is because he stumbled over Sam Shields after landing. If Shields hadn't caused him to stumble after coming down with the catch, this wouldn't even be an issue. You can't honestly tell me that a defender causing someone to stumble opposed to running straight upright is the difference between falling and actually running with the football. That makes absolutely no sense. The fact that he was stumbling is totally irrelevant; he was still moving the ball forward with his legs. Again, Dez jumped, snatched the ball out of the air, LANDED, took two additional steps with the football (while stumbling over Sam Shields), THEN he finally fell and reached out for the endzone, causing the ball to come loose after the process of the catch was already completed. bleacherreport.com/articles/2333840-proof-the-nfl-erred-in-overturning-the-dez-bryant-catch-according-to-their-rules
+IHCTerra You can't just ignore the article because it's from Bleacher Report. The article still carries a very, very valid point. Give it a read if you haven't. He was under control when he came down with the ball, he simply couldn't quite stay upright as he moved towards the endzone. Catching the ball had nothing to do with him eventually falling. He only fell because he tripped over Shield's leg after taking his 2nd step. This doesn't change the fact that he took those steps. You can't just pretend that he didn't take those steps because he happened to trip over a defender's leg while advancing the football, causing him to EVENTUALLY fall to the ground. That's just ridiculous. Stumbling with the ball doesn't mean you're going to the ground. Stumbling means you're stumbling. Dez was a runner with the football, he just so happened to fall over Shields' leg while advancing the football. The whole reason why this is even an issue is BECAUSE he became a runner with the football and tried to advance it to the endzone. If he would have actually just straight up fallen to the ground after catching the ball, this wouldn't have even been an issue. He did have control of the ball. There is certainly zero evidence to indicate that he did not have control. He did switch it from one hand to the other so that he could reach for the endzone, but he had control of the ball throughout. I'll include a definition of "stumble" here, as you seem to think stumble and "fall" mean the same thing for whatever reason. Stumble: "trip or momentarily lose one's balance; ALMOST fall" The going to the ground rule is meant for when a player is actually falling to the ground, not ALMOST falling to the ground. Stumbling/ running off balance doesn't mean you're in a free fall to the ground. It's not the same thing.
IHCTerra I feel like you sort of didn't even really touch on what I previously said to you. Forget the article. I was hoping that it would help convince you, but I'm not going to have two separate debates going on here. If you don't want to find merit in the point of the article, then so be it. But going back to the conversation we were having, Dez did in fact have control of the ball. As I said before, there is no clear evidence that he never had control. It never left his hands. Shields jostling it a little while in midair doesn't change anything. Dez still had it secure with his first foot on the ground, as he did with his 2nd and 3rd steps. At no point did the ball leave his possession. When you consider the fact that the play was initially ruled as a catch and therefore needing indisputable evidence to overturn it, it becomes even less legitimate to argue that he didn't have control of the ball. There is nothing clear that shows us that he did not have control of the football. I'll say again that stumbling while advancing the football is not the same as being in a straight up fall to the ground. The only reason why Dez lost the ball in the first place is because he transitioned to being a runner. He took steps and advanced the ball towards the endzone. If he wouldn't have done so, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
I think the article absolutely made relevant points, but again, I'm not going to have a separate discussion on that. You're still lumping stumbling and falling under the same idea, when there is no reason to do that. There is a difference in stumbling and actually falling to the ground. I'll say that his third step was more of a last push to the endzone before he actually fell, but it still counts as a step. He made two perfectly good steps before that last one, so it's pointless to argue over. Again, the only reason why this is an issue is BECAUSE he made those steps instead of just straight up falling to the ground. The rule that was enforced would make sense for the latter case, not the former. Again, stumbling does not equal falling, and Dez established possession of the football before the actual real fall. Tripping over Sam Shields AFTER landing with the catch doesn't take away the fact that Dez landed and advanced the football before the actual fall. You can't just lump it all together and call it one big fall, ignoring everything that actually happened during that supposed fall.
The 2014 playoffs for NFC was craziest of all time, everyone got screwed in the end. Lions got screwed and lost to cowboys, cowboys got screwed and lost to packers, packers got screwed and lost to Seahawks and Seahawks got screwed and lost to patriots in Super Bowl. I think I’m gonna make a video about this theory I’ve developed
Honestly, the Seahawks screwed themselves. 2nd and goal from the 1 with less than a minute left to play. All they have to do is give the ball to Marshawn Lynch and they win it.
When Rodgers led the Pack down the field to drain clock he still could've put them in FG range to kick a GW FG, just for anyone that thinks the result would've change had Dez caught it
@@wild8721 Yeah 2pt conversion, but you can't assume it's successful. Not only that they ruled him down at the one, can't even assume they would have gotten the TD however likely it was.

I had to watch this game again being a cowboy fan just to get me fired up about this weeks match up! It's still hard to watch. We lost no excuses. It's our turn now! Go Dallas!
In order for a catch to be a catch you must: 1. Catch ball 2. Have complete possession as you hit the ground 3. Get up 4. Hand it to the ref 5. And jog back to the huddle, all before it counts as a catch
Coming from a packers fan this was stupid, he took three steps and even if that isn't a football move, if you look closely his elbow touched before the ball did, and if the ball hit the ground by rule it should be a fumble cause he took three steps and he technically picked it up in the end zone. So touchdown
808lukeskills he didnt take 3 steps, he tripped and was falling while the ball was moving. I hate GB and Dallas so idgaf who won this game, but it wasnt a catch. He didnt have sole control of the ball until it had hit the ground and moved. He gained control of it in the endzone after the ball was dead from contacting and being influenced by the ground.
This is so wrong that I don't even know where to start. You don't know the rules obviously. 3 steps isn't a rule lol. Can't be a fumble because he never completed the catch when contacting the ground. Ball comes loose when you catch and hit the ground it's incomplete. Over.
Lenny Face Its based on conference record first, Seattle lost 2 NFC games,GB lost 3 NFC games (including to seattle), dallas lost 4 NFC games. Head to Head games only matter if theres a tie in conference loses. If the 2 teams didnt play head to hear then it goes to division record.
I still don't get how cowboys fans were salty and think they would've definitely won if dez caught it. They act like the packers wouldn't score with 4 minutes remaining.
Nope it's your fault that your an idiot. You probably didn't watch the game so lemme give you a run down. It's a catch. If it was a touchdown, Cowboys could have done onside kick. Or if that didn't work Rodgers would have choke 4th and 3 by getting sacked by Jeremy Mincey
That's a incomplete pass when he hit the ground he lost control of the ball doesn't matter how many steps rule clearly states you must maintain possession through the entire process which includes going to the ground and he clearly didn't
2014 had the best teams to be in the playoffs for quite some time now... all of these teams were great. Patriots could have played the Packers or Cowboys instead and it would have been a solid SB either wY.
I was born in 1996 and thanks to my mom, became a Cowboys fan in 2004, so I missed out on the golden years of the 90s. I will say that this loss hurts for me as bad as when they lost to the Giants in 2007. I don't believe it was Dez's catch that lost the game at all, the momentum and game changed when DeMarco Murray fumbled that ball. If he doesn't fumble that ball with the wide open hole, he scores easily and Dallas would have been going to Seattle to contend for an NFC Title.
Dez did not catch it, he bobbled it. You can't bobble a catch and also, if you look closely the ball DOES hit the ground. NOT a catch. P.S. I'm a Giants fan.
the ground can't cause a fumble. Dez tried reaching for the end zone and it came loose. The only reason it came loose was because of the ground, and remember it didn't even come out of his hands.
+Michael Villalobos i wasn't saying that it was a fumble, i was saying that the ball hit the ground while in his hands, which causes it to be a dead ball.
It's so clear at 7:32... all these commenters saying it was a catch must have missed that replay. I don't think it matters that he already had 3 feet down because you need to have complete control even after being brought down.
if you look closely it NEVER touched the ground... they changed the rule so if it were to happen again it would be considered a catch.. ironic huh? they hate us cause the ain't is! dallas baby!

When he hit the ground it popped out a little so its incomplete
me to
I hate Dallas as well
Zampy his knees were already down
Even though we lost this was my favorite game of the season. We played great football this year and showed that we were real contenders.I'm very excited for next season and i hope we prove to everyone that THE BOYS ARE BACK!!!!
DC4L!!!!
I hate how both teams are NFC because I really like the Cowboys and Seahawks.
Even though I don't like Seattle I was still extremely saddened after Butler's INT. If the Cowboys don't win it all I hope Seattle does.
Next season Eagles : 16 wins 0 losses, Cowboys : 0 wins 16 losses.
HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS
CrayZee Hulk Eagles with the 31st worst Defense in the league? Eagles who drafted Fletcher who turned out to be the worst CB in the game?
Cowboys who actually got to the NFC Divisional Championship game?
HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS
CrayZee Hulk The Eagles will choke again next year
He definitely caught it
NO he didn't. Rules states he has to maintain possesion all the way through and he clearly did not as the ball popped up.
Nobody’s gonna see this cuz the video’s very old. Y’all really think Rodgers wouldn’t have scored back even if they ruled it a catch and the cowboys took the lead ?
True, but there still would’ve been that off chance he doesn’t score.
Greatest game I have witnessed as a Cowboys fan, even tho we lost !
@Laura Peterson delete your comment
I don't even like the Cowboys but that was a catch.
Then why wasn't it?
Roro Marv Home cookin'.
I'm not even a Cowboys fan, btw.
The gameday crew is hilarious and amazing, highlights without their commentary suck now...
No the highlights are better now.
crossline zero na there commentary is way betterrrr
Cowboys screwed my Lions that year so watching that catch be ruled a non catch put a huge smile on my face. You did it Cowboys, you legit made me go for the hugest rival in our division. Seeing this in 2020 still makes me smile 😂💀
That was definitely a catch! 🤷🏾♂️
Stumble: "trip or momentarily lose one's balance; ALMOST fall"
The going to the ground rule is meant for when a player is actually falling to the ground, not ALMOST falling to the ground.
I'm still pissed about that catch and it's 2016
Mason Hruby same dude were looking dominant right now though
Cowboys loose to green Bay every year just give up hope already
I'm still pissed that Dallas got to play this game since they robbed the Lions in the game before
Mason Hruby now you know how lions fans feel
Mason Hruby for real
The 2014 playoffs for NFC was craziest of all time, everyone got screwed in the end. Lions got screwed and lost to cowboys, cowboys got screwed and lost to packers, packers got screwed and lost to Seahawks and Seahawks got screwed and lost to patriots in Super Bowl. I think I’m gonna make a video about this theory I’ve developed
Romain there’s a video on my channel about this theory if you don’t understand
Romain I mean yes, the packers screwed themselves in many ways and I just saw that as them getting screwed as a whole
Honestly, the Seahawks screwed themselves. 2nd and goal from the 1 with less than a minute left to play. All they have to do is give the ball to Marshawn Lynch and they win it.
It was a catch because his feet was down first.
+Noahhitemup 23 lol you're a moron
David Padour comments like this is the reason i smile lol 😂 thank you for that laugh btw cowboys fan here
herschel marquez the cowboys got this season. The Super bowl champions
Noahhitemup 23 if u think the cowboys have a chance at this years super howl u better think again
Bantu nobody can't beat us in the NFC. The patriots is the only can beat us by cheating.
this honestly breaks my heart everytime
When Rodgers led the Pack down the field to drain clock he still could've put them in FG range to kick a GW FG, just for anyone that thinks the result would've change had Dez caught it
2 point conversion, I’m not saying that’s why the cowboys lost because I think the real reason was the Murray fumble
@@wild8721 Yeah 2pt conversion, but you can't assume it's successful. Not only that they ruled him down at the one, can't even assume they would have gotten the TD however likely it was.
momentum is a huge thing in football, it will always be a “what if”
What really lost it was the fumble and missed field goal
I miss these commentary highlights
Miss these types of highlights
I miss this types of highlights
Same
1:02 let’s not forget that was Clay Matthews...
dirtiest player in the league
2014 was our year. Truly finally had all the right pieces for Romo. Just imagine if this defense was great. We could of and should been in the Super Bowl that year. Leading rusher and leading WR. Plus Romo possible MVP season.
Prime highlights bring them back
Prime Arod was special!!That throw to Rodgers was🔥!
Salty Dallas fans. Green Bay was obviously the better team and don't act like your innocent. We didn't for get the picked up flag cuz of cry baby Bryant
They barely won because of a blown call and they were in Green Bay too, so they were not obviously the better team
***** Why do people spout this crap? So what if he marched down the field? All he would of done is tied it. Then it would go to overtime and then who knows what happens.
Seriously, think
Cowboys lost, sorry.
And this guy is the classless Green Bay fan that talked a lot of shit when they were gonna play the Seahawks and lost shame
David A. ~
Well dang, Jessie James, Dez Bryant, and Calvin Johnson. Glad they changed that rule
Adams going from a rookie to the best receiver in the league now💪🏾
People acting like even if Dez caught, Rodgers wouldn’t go back and score with 4:30 minutes left
exactly....
still would’ve gave them a chance. You never know they could’ve failed to get a TD. Just a bad call
This game makes me sick to my stomach still
Back when the Cowboys were actually good
Can't believe Dallas lost this game Murray fumble Bailey miss field goal Rogers throw that led to a field goal plus the des play should've bean 38-23
As a Cowboys fan, one of the most embarrassing things about this game was that Rodgers was playing in a wheelchair and he was only sacked 1 time.
Cowboys defenses in the romo era were always terrible. He didn’t have a top 10 defense like dak every year
at 7:27 he makes a football move while in control of the football. He pushes with his left foot to try and get to the end zone.
I had to watch this game again being a cowboy fan just to get me fired up about this weeks match up! It's still hard to watch. We lost no excuses. It's our turn now! Go Dallas!
I remember this like it was yesterday definitely made me cry! 😥
In order for a catch to be a catch you must:
1. Catch ball
2. Have complete possession as you hit the ground
3. Get up
4. Hand it to the ref
5. And jog back to the huddle, all before it counts as a catch
Jadon Kadel You have to do the first 2, but dez only did step 1
Clearly caught it and made a football move. He reached toward the goal line.
I saw that little scar, are you ok Romo, sure you don't need surgery
😂😂😂
Coming from a packers fan this was stupid, he took three steps and even if that isn't a football move, if you look closely his elbow touched before the ball did, and if the ball hit the ground by rule it should be a fumble cause he took three steps and he technically picked it up in the end zone. So touchdown
Cowboys fan here it was a good game either way and packers played great hard team to beat
Your wrong
This is so wrong that I don't even know where to start. You don't know the rules obviously. 3 steps isn't a rule lol. Can't be a fumble because he never completed the catch when contacting the ground. Ball comes loose when you catch and hit the ground it's incomplete. Over.
Lenny Face Its based on conference record first, Seattle lost 2 NFC games,GB lost 3 NFC games (including to seattle), dallas lost 4 NFC games.
Head to Head games only matter if theres a tie in conference loses. If the 2 teams didnt play head to hear then it goes to division record.
Whether you think it was or wasn't a catch, that was a damn good game. Best one I've ever been to.
Who's here after when the super bowl is chiefs vs bucs
Not me
DEZ CAUGHT IT
This was a great Cowboys team.
Said it 3 years ago and I’ll say it again, that was a catch by Dez Bryant.
No it wasnt
jadon mathew actually it was
rohit puri You are salty the cowboys suck like they got crushed by the Packers yesterday
Sniper1234 Boy cowboys can’t seem to ever beat the packers smh that must suck
@@jadonmathew7025 we was suppose to win lmao packers seem to never make the superbowl
Can't stop watching this even though my cowboys lost. What a great game!
Your a true nice fan! :)
makes me cry time after time
2018? Still can’t believe it.
cowboy fans act like rodgers wouldnt have 4 mins to score LOL
I still don't get how cowboys fans were salty and think they would've definitely won if dez caught it. They act like the packers wouldn't score with 4 minutes remaining.
Jack William 30-16. cowboys 7-1 how u doin
Mdeli5 wrong season buddy
i still dont get how non cowboys fan bring it up lmao
Jack William yep same aaron rodgers and the Packers can do anything like the hail mary against lions that was dope
Jack William I'd rather take my chances with that
Who’s here after they changed the catching rule
Stop crying it wasnt a catch... it's your teams fault to, yall had 4+ minutes left to score and you didn't
Anthony Ramon LOL but then you fuckers complain about the lions game when they had 2 drives left
+Anthony Ramon
It was also a stupid decision to throw a pass that long on 4th and 2
Nope it's your fault that your an idiot. You probably didn't watch the game so lemme give you a run down. It's a catch. If it was a touchdown, Cowboys could have done onside kick. Or if that didn't work Rodgers would have choke 4th and 3 by getting sacked by Jeremy Mincey
Jake F Thats not how football works.
+SmileyFrownHi kinda does xD
Just stopped by for my yearly visit
If you look at the “non catch” by dez Bryant he already had taken 2 steps While having Possesion of the ball Thats a catch.
That's a incomplete pass when he hit the ground he lost control of the ball doesn't matter how many steps rule clearly states you must maintain possession through the entire process which includes going to the ground and he clearly didn't
I still shed a tear when I seen this :(
2014 had the best teams to be in the playoffs for quite some time now... all of these teams were great. Patriots could have played the Packers or Cowboys instead and it would have been a solid SB either wY.
"It's ruled a touchdown, down at the 1 half yardline" 😂 which one is it?
What is the name of this song.
"Grown man quarterbacking" love it 💚💛💚💛
What’s the name of the music that’s playing in the background?
They stole Romo's moment...
Dez caught it and Murray choked
Who misses these sort of commentary highlights
i feel like dez was never the same after this..
The year is 2019 and it still was a catch.
King-Solomon Williams your salty the cowboys suck like yesterday they got demolished by the packers
Now say it no criying
Even if it was, they still would have lost the game
@Akbar Shabazz I didn't give two shits about your comment, I was replying to the guy on top
It’s lambeau refs, nothing new -lions fan
That.................was definitely..........a catch!!!!!!! SMH
No it wasn't
Not me going back to Madden 15 just to re-live this moment🔥
Man after that game i was soooo bitter.......... now its a whole new season and should be a exciting one too just like last years season...
It was a catch
No it wasn't
Hamb yes it was
He had 4 feet down before it was down on the ground
Not a cowboys fan and he should have been ruled down before the ball hit the ground
I agree it was a catch, but he only had 2 feet down
I was born in 1996 and thanks to my mom, became a Cowboys fan in 2004, so I missed out on the golden years of the 90s.
Vamos por la pinche revanchaaa!!
Go COWBOYS!!
Still hurts a year and so later
Mister White still hurts (2019)
Still hurts in July of 2020
@@seancarawan1624 Yes. Still hurts.
Don't feel bad. In the end, the Packers blew it against the Seahawks lol.

Does anyone happen to know what the backround music is? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Does anyone know the instrumental music in this highlight video
Dez did not catch it, he bobbled it. You can't bobble a catch and also, if you look closely the ball DOES hit the ground. NOT a catch. P.S. I'm a Giants fan.
It is a catch he took a couple steps his knee and elbow hit the ground before the ball popped out
the ground can't cause a fumble.
Even if Dez caught the ball, the Packers wouldve gotten an easy field goal at the end to win it
green bay is bankrupt because they spent all there money on the refs in this game all true like if you agree
Diego Bernal You're a babbling idiot who can't even use the word their* properly. Go crawl back into your hole you Queenie troll.
Bailey nails those 2 field goals 20-7. Murry doesn’t fumble 27-10 the other touchdown they had 27-13 dez catch doesn’t happen so 30-21 final
Dez Dropped It... Nuff said...
You dropped it
you got no balls
If Murray hadn't fumbled that would've been a td.
