I read and loved this. I know most of the flat places in the UK she visits and have an inkling of their appeal to her, but what makes it special is the way she links them to her recognition of her CPTSD and then draws in her childhood recollections combined with digressions into literature and more. I so glad the book spoke to you even more personally.

I read The Flag Place last month and had a bit of a mixed experience with it. But I absolutely loved hearing how much the book meant to you and truly think this is one of the nicest sides of memoirs, that they can make you reflect so much on your own life as well! Great video 😊
