You can get a silicone baking mat at Michaels for your desk. It's awesome! The glue peels off, no sanding needed.
Yes that is true, but silicon mats are super thin, I craft on my wood dining table and do not want to ruin it. I use a thick cutting and then my thick desk mat from IKEA. Wouldn't risk using a silicone mat at all !
Looks like I'll be breaking out the tumbling tower blocks and making this for myself and a couple as gifts. No more glue gun falling off the desk. Your projects are awesome. Thank you for sharing you ideas!

I love all your jenka block projects! I have made several of them. I do have a question, have you ever made a goat from jenka blocks? Been wanting to make one and I'm not definitely cannot make a pattern. Please if you have or will be making one please would you put it on your blog.

Could u make the glue gun even bigger? Store mod Podge, school glue, different types of glue sticks(fabric, big and mini sticks) for 2 glue guns small and big.
Hi , there is enough room at the end of the board to accommodate 2 glue guns. You would just have to change the end where I put the 6 blocks on top where the glue gun sits. You can use wood cubes and stack them to make 2 openings. Hope that makes sense.

QUESTION?? Love the object but how do you get the blocks to hold as the glue is drying?? Do you have to use a clamp??
When I started glueing at the back of the back of the stand, when you add the glue, it will keep them from falling. You may need to have a bottle or something to lean on if it starts to fall. I let that section dry for about an hour and then move on the next section. I have never used clamps on any of my projects. The key is drying. If you let it dry (according to the glue recommendation) you will never need clamps. I have never had any issues glueing my builds, that's why I don't use clamps. Hope this helps you 😃

Hi Donna, I'm using it everyday and I love it 🥰. The silver chopper tray had a lot of drips of hot glue, I stuck it in the freezer for 15 minutes and took it out and the glue came off easily 😃!!

I live on PEKI and I CANNOT BUY TUMBLING TOWER OR JENKA BLOC,KS, I can’t even order on line!M. I don’t have a Dollar Tree, only Dollarama! Useless for crafting! If you know where I can get th blocks,please let me know. Dollar Tree won’t even let me order from them on line!! As sooon as I put PEI in location, analogue for Dollar Tree goes blank. Weird! I have to live in Quebec to BC.

Hi Audrey, I know the east coast doesn't have Dollar Tree. Dollarama does carry jenga blocks in 2 sizes. The only difference will be is size but I know it may be too big using those sizes. Do you have any family that visits you from any part of Canada ? Maybe they can get you some. As you know shipping is expensive in Canada. We (Canadians) can't order online unfortunately ☹️. I could get you some but shipping will probably be crazy expensive. I'm in Ottawa. Let me know, my store just stocked up again. Send me a DM on my page on FB.
