Getting a kids meal as a child was literally the holy grail. In my entire life I had gotten two Happy Meals. One for my 6th birthday, my dad was gone n I was depressed the whole day so my mom took me McDonald's and bought me a kids meal. The second I think I was maybe 12 and I got one of those Ben 10 action figures. He was pretty cool. I was always poor so I could never really afford these things as is the way for a lot of society. I never stole toys, just food. I was so desperate to have candy again I stole from the penny candy store. To be fair the thing I stole was a quarter. Haha one of those mini rabits. I'm havin a major nostalgia trip rn guys n it's kinda scary. Like watching my life flash before my eyes. I just took a day. It feels pretty awesome but these thoughts are crushing my vibes. I'm thinking about like middle school and valentines day when kids would pass out goodies. Haha dude. I grew up in a small country town so I was pretty isolated and privileged I guess, it barely had like 150 kids and the graduating glass of 8th graders had like 13 kids. It was amazing. We were all like a lil family. Most of us went to the same highschool. It was crazy watching us all switch off into our own cliques. Some crazy shit happened. Some kid killed himself because his girlfriend wouldn't stop talking to me. I always feel the guilt that I should've stopped talking to her n he'd be alive. But eh here I am, here we are. We've all lived some crazy lives and if you spent a portion of yours reading about a portion of mine. I love you, and you too are apart of my family. Because not many of us bother to waste the little time we have. For time is fragile. But I think, time is to be wasted. Doing whatever your heart desires and when you seek the rift; you'll pass with a smile on your face im sure.
Kids meals are more reasonable portions and cheaper. I had someone refuse to sell me a kids meal once and it was really annoying. People like that are crazy
The question mark at the end of a statement like that is usually written because it's a sarcastic statement. Basically "why don't you say this" but leaving all that out.
I actually taught my kids very young to do that…..we make sure to get ‘sprite’ because it’s clear. When you’re poor; you’re poor. And I wanted my children to have soda just like the other children. 😭. I wasn’t hurting nobody. It was a big deal just to go to Noodles and Company
Unfortunatly that isnt true. I have two coworkers who lost their shit against a lady who had a surgery to reduce her stomace size to lose weight. Seeing that she litterally cant eat whole menus anymore she ordered a kids meal and they snapped. I told them to F off into the back, gave the lady her meal and i offered her free coffee as an apology for my dicq coworkers and then i dragged their asses to our boss who then told them that if they ever denied an order like that again they would be fired without pardon.
Not true imo , some people take their jobs way too seriously. People on power trips, by the books or employees that were recently reprimanded for selling kids meals will probably do this.
It’s the principle of the thing, I’m not ordering discounted food I’m ordering a child sized portion (less food) and I am paying an appropriate price. It’s not an adult meal, I’m not scamming them - they’re just being assholes and forcing me to spend money on a full adult meal I’m not even hungry enough to eat and will throw the majority away. Wasteful asf.
They could literally label it as a separate option. Like, you don’t want to eat the big motherfcking burger so get a smaller one for less money. But nope, that couldn’t be catchy for the kids.
Yeah like the lady has no idea why he's ordering it so who cares She's about to loose her precious day manager position if she's going just drive away customers over her own personal feelings
That's the thing... why do I even have to explain why I'm buying a kids' meal? I'm spending money on a smaller portion of food. Who's gonna eat it is my business.
When she said she just became manager, I knew that the power was going to her head already. She basically is like this is my store now whatever I say is new rules. Also kids meals are not discount they're just less food smaller portions

No employee gives a SOLITARY SHIT if an adult orders a Kid’s meal..
@@taku-ruki so then technically your boss put a stop to their ridiculous behavior but that doesn’t mean that there are actual age limits to food

"This is America don't catch me slipping now"
My favorite Ricky Gervais bit
I work fast food and I literally do not give a shit. Order a kids meal because it's cheaper or because of the smaller portions.
It's not cheaper
They could literally label it as a separate option. Like, you don’t want to eat the big motherfcking burger so get a smaller one for less money. But nope, that couldn’t be catchy for the kids.
in our country it aint cheaper, but its the same as the adult portion, and its priced more because you're also like... paying for the toy
