I think they are using her as a storage barge now. The price for repairs was too high.

@@RFKFANTS67 ROGER BLOUGH was the only one of her kind unfortunately, there is nothing like her on the lakes. Now she sits in Conneaut Ohio in long term layup.
Thanks for the comeback much appreciated. That really sucks she was one of a kind, What a shame such a beauty.That fire obviously destroyed more in her stern then I had thought. Sad, I have 3 favorite Laker's from different companies Roger Blough Alpena and the Arthur M Anderson. although I like most of the Laker's before they moved the pilot house to the stern. Also a fan of the Michipicoten

She looks like she is a “wide load” ship lol She looks different with the huge openings in the back of her stern. She’s beautiful.
She's as wide as a thousand footer but not as long. The openings in the back are where the self unloader conveyor extends out. This is why there isn't a big boom on deck like other boats.

One of my favorites I wonder how they can change the tones on the horn or whistle to different settings that's interesting really awesome video you never post any disappointing videos awesome
I figure they must have dual or multiple horns to make that much variation
They're not changing the tone of their horn. A ship of that size has a horn of 70-200 Hertz, and is generally the same tone. The first horn is the ship giving a salute to the shore, which appears to be a common occurrence in Duluth. The second horn right after is the shore returning the salute
