  • Supporters say the changes are needed because of an uptick in violent crime among juvenile offenders last year. However, critics say it's eroding juvenile justice reforms made in 2017 and before.

Good. Excellent, in fact. These teens have complained many, many times that they are tired of being treated like kids. They must be quite pleased that someone is finally listening, and treating then like adults.

Let them feel what being a responsible adult feels like

I hate this!!! I don’t care with nobody says! These young people minds ARE NOT fully developed to be putting them with grown men and women!
    It’s ridiculous!
It’s something that is seriously wrong with these children and they need to get them some help instead of throwing them in jail!
    Ugh….

*Are you an active Social Worker, that specializes in Youth Corrections... no... let me guess, you don't even have a spouse, let alone any kids*
("TEENS" these days are more violent, and prone to recidivism, not to mention... "TEENS" have no fear of any consequences... because of criminal apologists such as yourself!)

*Furthermore, after decades of failed social programs and abhorrent racist Affirmative Action policies... these "TEENS" are beyond saving... "stair-ul-eye-zation" or "youth-in-asia" are the only options available to save their communities.*

You would feel differently if your family was a victim of a murderer, regardless of age.

@@Catloudan That’s why you shouldn’t judge because I have had multiple family members who have.
I just understand that when we are young , we most of us made dumb decisions that if we were fully developed and mature, we wouldn’t have made.
I also realize that there is a evil that is in this earth that uses young people because the Bible says so.
Children aren’t being raised according to morals and principles and taught to fear God.
This world says that they’re not old enough to drive if they’re not 15 or 16, they can’t smoke unless they’re 18, and they can’t drink until they’re 21 but they can go sit in prison with full grown adults who have had time enough to use they’re brain.
Some of these children are good children until they get around a bad crowd and because of peer pressure or being bullied or even fear of being killed themselves, they make one bad choice that change their lives and then throw them in prison!
      They need help.
      Mental help and spiritual guidance.
I am a born again believer who has compassion.
I don’t judge the victims because I understand their pain, but others who decide to throw those children in prison instead of getting them help.
And you’re right, you don’t understand anything until it knocks on your door.
      It has mines.
My brother to be exact so thank you
      And God bless you!

Take away their education, then treat them criminally as adults.... These ppl are such wastes of human life
