how is this possible? Punk, Dylan and Country. all. at once. Beautiful.
One of my favorite bands. Saw them live in a dive in San Antonio, TX. The killed. Viva Deer Tick.
It's so nice to see a killer band come out of my home state once in a great while.
Right?!! RI
Best band in the last 10 years hands down. Amazing live. They played a show without Dennis and Rob. Most band would have canceled but, no they played their asses off. MAD RESPECT Englewood, Colorado
Just saw these guys open for The Hold Steady last night at Toads Place in New Haven....great band! Great show
The song at the end is Spencer Kingman (Spenking) - "Accounts"
John McCauley is the shit!!! Love all his music with Deer Tick, Middle Brotherand Diamond Rugs.
Love Love !!!
Miss K sounds a lot like Bob Dylan haha I love your sound guys.
Greatings from Brazil
I always thought miss k was about ketamine
fun to hear stuff like this.
Great vibes guys! No matter if you aren't that famous yet (at least as you wish). Your music is not for the average music lover!! Greetings from Italy! (I came to one of your concerts back in 2009 in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and followed your evolution since then. Great work Dear Tick, keep going, and enjoy the music you create!)
really cool!
how that kexp radio personality dude isn't losing his scooby snacks all over the place during this performance is beyond me...
Still loving !!!! jm
they used a bunch of deer tick tracks in the movie Hallpass, which is set in Providence, RI
the host should have included some of the other band members in the conversation
Credits song is Accounts by Spencer Kingman
thank you
"...but theniranlikeafoooool...." classic.
why does the interviewer ignore the rest of the band? i heart kexp btw
People need to learn to listen to the entire performance before making ridiculous comments or assumptions. Don't judge the entire performance/band because you didn't like the first song.
what is the song playing during the credits "i told you to rememeber the code we write"?????????????
Greaat! Great! OMG:!
this is the time of the show i should say you should edit this out might take a few takes"- "we can't edit it out!??" (john blankly shocked and blissful look)
Only took them 2 minutes to realize there was a bassist in the room.
Never heard this band before, but I KNOW I've heard Main Street somewhere... This is gonna drive me crazy.
californication?
Mr. Cigarette what a song! hahaha! the melody is the exact same as Dinah don't blow your horn! like from DECADES ago
"YEEEAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!"
for real
A caminho da Semana Santa, algures por terras do Coura!
If I buy the album, does it come with a free flannel shirt?
@Bauernschinken Yeah, me too!
For the record John, I wouldn't dump you on Valentine's day. Or ever.
Amazing. Worldchangers...Fuck it. Who cares.
Just smile with a golden tooth.
The singer is from middle brother I like middle brother and deer tick
You should look up Middle Brother. It's a side project with a bunch of other awesome bands.
Interviewer: "Very happy to have Deer Tick here at KEXP."
*awkward pause*
John: "What's happening?"
Didn't expect for this to open any other way.
Is it strange that his name is John McCauley AND he looks like Macaulay Culkin?
Whats strange is that his wife was in the same class as Macauley Culkin at school
@@vDomMusic And when he went on tour, his wife would be home alone.
@@Kthomasritchie Aaaaayyyyyyy
@@Kthomasritchie This comment is way underrated. Bravo 👏
Song during credits? Anyone???
reallllllllly wanna know the last song!!
Someone figure it out, I would like to know. SoundHound doesn't know
"Thank you. That was Main Street" hahaa
@DaMatzee sorry mate, forgot bout the song during the credits
He looks just like Mark Knopfler!
Spencer Kingman - Accounts
Mr. Cigarette by Paul Westerberg
@DaMatzee mr. cigarette, its a cover
pretty simple melody i'd be suprised if nobody used it before
could someone help me locate the song that begins at 21:29
+Tad Vine It's Mr. Cigarette. If you have the record Divine Providence it's the really long last track....hidden track
It's a hidden track on Divine Providence. At the end of Miss K about 33.5 minutes in.
They are great, but it seems like they are playing music for a saloon
is it just me or is it really weird to see john without sunglasses?
hosted by John Turturro
I wonder if he knows how HOT he is ? mm
this interview is as awkward as the bright eyes fever and mirrors interview
Uploader why can i not download this video blocking it huh what nonsense!!!!!
You are not supposed to download the video. Just watch it!
KEXP hell yeah
Oh yeah... says who ??
Obama, that halfbreed loser ??
hahhaha
Ill do what I want .
I think I will go and shoot some 'cans with my pistol.
But we act like kids!!!!!
john looks sad :/
John always looks sad
Great band BUT as I've said in other videos, John gives in too much to his friends and rock n roll partying and is squandering his talent. Probably missed the boat by now but after Born on Flag Day he went in a different direction. I'm sure he's enjoying it and good for the band but it's a big missed chance.
gumbo yeah how long have you know him?
Blake Wrobbel i wouldn't say i know him but i know deertick and have kicked it with john and the districts and tick a few times in sf and everything you said about him is bs, his friends and all of them are cool as fuck and talented, some album i believe are different themes like upbeat and war elephant was the grind like start album probably broke how it happens, and also the new cd i believe is going to be dope more like dark punk ish shit. Shout out to deertick hope i spoke with dignity
Ummmmm, no. coldplay is far from the greatest anything of anywhere.
