I am monitoring water heating, room temperature, boiler performance, solar PV, power consumption at a device, circuit and whole house level, including EV charging. Got a bunch of Shelly plugs for switching kids pc-monitors, controling plant lamps++. Shelly 2.5 behind most light-switches, always on, but to provide input signals for smart bulbs and other things in the house. All connected to a home made controller app through MQTT, and from there exposed to Home Assistant.
Love the different Shelly switches, haven't tried the sensors yet.

It is indeed automated to turn off when it's time to prepare for bed. Working very well... 😆
It's a series of docker containers communicating through MQTT. So one takes input from the Shelly's and parses single push/double push and hold, or a series of these and sends commands based on the configured events. Others convert the commands into UDP packets for the Wiz-bulbs or pushes setup for Wled segments.

Have several Shelly’s, all are 1’s, love the fact that they are dry contact, very helpful for certain things like in my case, when my fireplace hits a certain temperature, it runs my HVAC fan for 10 minutes which circulates the fireplaces warmth through the entire house. I use two on my Autoslide patio door servo, one for dog width, and one for human width. And several for garage door openers, ceiling fan control etc. this sensor you are testing, how fast or slow is it? As soon as I hear IP address and battery operated, I expect delays that usually are too long to be useful.

Now it works. I don't know if it's because I renamed it in the Shelly app to match the name on the device, or because HA was updated to a new version yesterday

Too many, but of course I want more. Old 1PM x 4 as plug extensions, Shelly 1 x 2 as plugs as well, old H&T x 4 around the house, old dimmer1 x 3, Button1 x 3, Duo Bulb x 5 and a 3EM. A few new 1PM Plus and i3 devices are waiting in a box to be installed one rainy weekend.
My one Motion always reads the battery as 0% and Shelly support wouldn’t tell me which pins to check and I couldn’t figure it out. That was fine, but now firmware 2.1.6 won’t let me upgrade firmware because the battery is “low”. These Motions have saved me hours of forgotten lights left on.

No companies think our population is big enough to start a direct company outlet and if some companies are available they would be triple the cost than reset of the world.
