  • This C2C crochet mesh stitch is a light and lacy crochet corner to corner stitch that works up so quickly! Perfect for shawls and so much more!
    I will walk you through each step of the way for this c2c crochet mesh stitch that is worked on the diagonal. I will walk through how to increase as well as how to decrease this stitch to make a square.

    This c2c crochet mesh stitch is a variation of the c2c double crochet stitch method. Instead of working solid "blocks" of double crochets you are working chain stitches throughout the middle section while both ends are solid dc blocks.
    I really love mesh projects but I am not a big fan of working it with a long foundation chain. It tends to be awkward for a few rows and if I make a mistake it is just not fun to rip out and start over.
    This c2c stitch fixes that issue! By working on the diagonal or corner to corner you don't have to worry about having a large starting chain. And, it makes adjusting the finished size so very EASY!
    Just work your square to the width/height you are looking for and then begin decreasing either from both ends or make a rectangle shape by continuing to increase on one end. That makes this stitch so easy to customize!
    Another great thing about this stitch is that you will have a solid border of dc blocks around the outside edge of your mesh. No need to provide a border!
    You can use any size weight of yarn you wish for this pattern from lighter weight to worsted weight yarn - even bulky! The lighter your yarn the more drape your project will have.
    I have several designs coming up that will be using this c2c crochet mesh stitch that I think you will love so be sure to check back for those.

    I am loving this pattern. The C2C pattern is my go to pattern for most of my blankets. Your pattern is beautiful and with the right yarn will create a nice drape for the scarf. Thank you for a wonderful tutorial. When I looked at the scarf I could not figure out how the stitch was done. You gave a great explanation, thank you so much. Can't wait to try this.

    Hi! This is Beautiful Pattern!!! I want to make it for Fall & I Live in the Northeast & it’s typically chili if not cold. Is there a method to go “back and forth” from mesh to traditional block?

    • @nanascraftyhome

      Yes, absolutely! 🌸💕 In fact I have a free crochet pattern called the Lavender Garden triangle scarf alternating rows of blocks and skipped chains and you can find it here (I hope you like it!): czcams.com/video/9qJCkLo_bnc/video.html

    • @nanascraftyhome
      @nanascraftyhome  Před rokem +1

      Happy to help! In order to make a rectangle shape with this stitch you will begin decreasing on one side only while continuing to increase on the other side. You can see how to decrease this stitch in my video tutorial for the Bonjour Belle Bag here: czcams.com/video/19b2JSIlMqY/video.html. I hope that helps and I am so happy you like this stitch! 🌸💕

    Here's a question: how would you modify the pattern to add fringe?

    • @nanascraftyhome
      @nanascraftyhome  Před 2 měsíci

      To add fringe I wouldn't change any aspect of the pattern but would simply add fringe along the edge at the end. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching 💕🌸
