Young was unbelievable in this game. I was there and we had no answer for him. This was against a defense littered with first round picks and is probably the greatest ever after what they did in the NC game, but Bryce has my respect.
lol "greatest ever" let up 41 to Bama with Metchie playing half the game. Championship wouldve been uglier with #8, #1 playing. Forget the starting corners and 4 RBs out. No where close to greatest ever... maybe most talent.

Every team has injuries, UGA executed much better in Indy than they did in Atlanta, our historically great defensive line was actually getting pressure against a weak Bama OL. But the 2021 UGA defense is easily one of the greatest ever, and given what they did in the context of the 2021 era of football and how much better offenses had become compared to previous eras, I’d call them the best and I think the NFL draft is proving my point, as they had 5 first round picks and will likely add 2 more this year with Nolan Smith and Jalen Carter. They absolutely locked everybody down outside of Bama for a 5 drive sequence in Atlanta, and they played several good offenses (Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, Kentucky, Arkansas all finished within the top 20 of offensive efficiency, UGA only allowed 16.7 PPG to those teams). You couldn’t run against them, one team protected against them and they couldn’t even repeat the feat, and the secondary was only exploitable against the absolute best of the best at QB and WR (the case for all great defenses no matter what).
If you want to say one of the Bama defenses (2011 or 2016) was better, sure, it’s a debatable point, but to act as though saying they were the greatest is insanity is laughable.

As a Georgia fan. I wanted us to win this game so bad, but props to Nick Saban and that bama mentality. He's one of the greatest college football coaches of all time coaching a historic program. Of course he'd have his players ready to play a big game like this.

Well Alabama had their worst offensive line play and still almost won national championship I think 2021 Georgia defense wasn't tested vs enough elite opponents like Kyle Trask when he was on fire

Another thing is they are returning most of the guys from last year and have the next 2 recruiting classes LOADED with defensive talent.. for the to be Georgias "greatest defense" and Georgias defense has only gotten better and is set to get even better over the next couple years... thats scary 😂 I did miss playing Bama last year tho. I love a good dog fight and love the respect that has been built between the 2 programs. No storming the field, tearing down fields goals and throwing them into the river. No getting in players faces and laughing. No tearing apart hedges. No throwing of golf balls and mustard bottles. Just a hand shake, a "good game" and move one. Can't wait to meet again. Go Dawgs.

This game was definitely a fix by the sec. They probably sat both coaches down and said "look...Georgia has a loss to get and still make the playoffs, but if Georgia wins, bama is left out with 2 losses" and yes the sec is dirty like that.

He absolutely could some day become a starter. But he's not a first or probably even 2ndround draft pick as a qb so that says a lot. Whoever drafts him will be doing it with the plans to use him as a backup, not a starter.
Bennett will never play. If he does it will be a Brock Purdy situation and he still would be replaced.

UGA has some hitters in the secondary but the strength of their defense has been the Front 7 the past couple years. Granted its veryy difficult to put together an elite secondary. Luckily it's pretty rare to face an elite receiver/qb combo

Young is a great talent. Does he elevate everyone around him? I'm not convinced he does. The NFL is a different beast and he will play teams that are equally matched unlike his days at Bama.

It was literally a fix by the sec to get both teams in the playoffs as Georgia had a loss to give being undefeated and bama would have been out the playoffs with the second loss. The sec is cheap like that. Not saying they are bad as they had two teams in contention obviously, but had it been a real game, Georgia would have waxed bama as they were struggling that year. I won 8k betting on this game as i knew what the sec was gonna do. 1st half make it interesting, then let bama blow out Georgia.
