Love this song! Supertramp were a great English rock band formed in 1969. They had so many hit songs in the 70's-80's such as "Breakfast In America", "Goodbye Stranger", "Take The Long Way Home", "It's Raining Again", "Give A Little Bit", "My Kind Of Lady", "Cannonball", "I'm Beggin' You", "You Win, I Lose" etc.
You must add School to your repertoire. Couple of their later tunes worth a go: Cannonball, Brother Where You Bound, I’m Beggin’ You … there’s more but a good start.
I have said this before but it bears repeating..... The 1970s AM and FM radio airwaves were FULL...so full of amazing music! Mainstream radio spoiled us! We could hardly change the channel without finding a GREAT song! His vocals starting at about 4:48 are so expressive, so emotionally beautiful.... I can't get enough of that.
I absolutely love Roger Hodgson's (one of the lead singers) solo song "Had a Dream (Sleeping with the Enemy)". Strange title but an absolute BANGER. Incredibly underrated!

It's a shame that people are not used to letting a song "build" these days... can't apreciate the simple and want all the feelings in an instant... to feel something it has to have contrast, but it doesn't mean that the simple part doesn't have it's own kind of flavour and sweetness.

The first time I heard this song I was sitting in a car talking to a friend of mine. I was telling about a song I had heard on the radio. It was so good I called the radio station to find out what it was, the only time I had ever done something like that. As I was talking Dreamer came on the radio and I shouted "Just like this One this is incredibe". School was the song I called about.
Back in the mid 70s there was so much good music on the radio. I took this song for granted although I liked it. but listening to it now, it's a really good song.
You should listen to School live at Paris .... it will blow you away . Also the Logical song is very good Especially the underline meaning of the lyrics are superb. If you understand them, you know where life is about

Rudy, Crime of the Century title track are 2 of my favorite songs. I've seen them live and it was a great journey.
