NOTE:🍓 Use fresh and non-damaged fruits for the best result.
🍓 The fruits must be dried completely.
🍓 Please make sure to test the syrup like the video. When you pour a little amount of
syrup into cold water it needs to crush like the candy.
🍓To clean the pot: After cooking, pour water into the pot and boil it.
The hardened syrup will melt.
Ingredients
strawberry
Grape
Sugar 2cups
Water 1cup
Skewers
Direction:
1. Buying fresh nondamaged strawberries is important.
2. Wash the strawberries and grapes.
3. Use a kitchen towel to remove the moisture. This part is also important because moisture in the fruits can affect the outcome.
4. Put the skewer in the center of the strawberry tap.
5. Prepare 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water.
6. Pour sugar and water into the pot and turn on medium heat.
7. NEVER stir, just let the sugar melt.
8. It will take around 15 minutes for the sugar coat syrup. It depends on your stove.
9. The color will be turning into yellow.
10. Pour a scoop of syrup into the cold water. If the sugar hardens and crushes well, it's ready.
11. Deep the fruits into the sugar syrup. Make sure not to burn your fingers.
12. If the syrup hardens up, heat it again.
13. Place the covered syrup fruits on the parchment paper and let it dry.
14. Enjoy~~ 🍓🍇

Since a lot of subscribers were asking me about syrup. The main reason why I keep saying don't stir the syrup is that it becomes sugary and clumpy. When the syrup turns yellow, lower the heat. Once you lower the heat, drop the syrup in water and if it makes the crunching sound, the syrup is ready.
Good luck everyone 🍓
I like this. And the tanghulu is looking very yummy 😋. 🍓🍇

:0 I can’t have gelatine, but love jelly, I’m super excited.

This person takes better care of the fruits then I do of my self
Lol
Lmao same
wtf
JUST tried this. A lot of patience is needed I learned. The shards of sugar can be pokey when you bite the fruit so just have to use caution
The end product was beautiful-thank you for your tutorial!
Can the sugar hurt ur tounge?
@@tiktokroyalty4778 no
Lol yeah, i really like the frozen chinese variation ones with rice paper on top like my mom and dad grew up with
How long do we let them sit, and where
Four things I learned while doing this, use parchment paper because a plastic plate really doesn’t do much. Two, I made it one cup of sugar and half a cup of water and needless to say it made a lot of syrup and most of it went to waste. Three, I did not see the part where you were supposed to turn the heat down when it was good and mine ended up turning out a bit too thick. And finally four, if the syrup does harden on your pot don’t panic like I did just put some hot water and let it sit for a few hours. Im trying it again tonight. 😊
Edit: Okay so I made it again and it turned out great! This recipe is really good and I tried it with a raspberry. (do not recommend with a raspberry)
thank you for all this, did you have to dip the fruit in cold water right after dipping? cuz when i did it i forgot that step and it was literally so sticky and it was kinda crunchy but like really tough
@@sofia-ew4nl I think that step is to check if it’s good enough to use but when I was dipping the fruit I let it sit for awhile but tanghulu is usually tough and crunchy.
1 cup sugar half cup water.
When did u turn the heat down mine is turning into boiled water with some sugar in it
@@JaneDoe-ob9dr make sure not to mix it and when it turns golden brown turn it to a low, something probably went wrong in the process so try it again
I made butter toffee with my leftover!
So I tried making this and the first few came out okay, but I guess I took to long because my mixture started to burn terribly. Almost lost my privileges to the kitchen 😭😭
Once it's done take it off the stove
That’s what happened to me and I lost my privileges in the kitchen but after a while I was aloud back in the kitchen😭🤣
Same✨🤣✨
Sameee it was smoking up the whole house😭😭😭🤠🤠
@@MadzluvzM1lfs It’s so nice to be aloud somewhere you lost privileges to. I’m not aloud many places.
Just finished making these and they're really good. I used 1 cup of sugar and half a cup of water instead, but i still ended up with some left over syrup. But be aware its really messy when u make these, at least for me it was.
I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THE SYRUP WAS COLD SO I DIPPED MY INDEX FINGER IN IT AND IT BURNED BUT MY BRAIN DIDNT PROCCES THAT I BURNED MY FINGER TILL LIKE 15SEC AFTER , I BURNT MYSELF A TON BEFORE AND JUST LEFT IT SO I LEFT THIS SUGAR ON MY FINGER why I don't know but it was only on my finger for like 20secs my brain finally starts processing that I just been burnt so I put it under cold tap
dude
dude
I got a frickin blister it killed fro another 2hours and I had to go to the supermarket whilst in pain
anyway lets skip ahead like 2months later jeez it finally heals and peels

normal one damn it I am so stupid the little thing to say the week after I burned my finger at the top I decided to make this recipe again and again and maybe a 3rd time but oh well at least I didn't do that stupid ass mistake again anyways
end of story.
ps don't dip your finger in at all and I MEAN IT.
The syrup is EXTREMELY HOT!!! You always have to be careful. I'm surprised that you tried to make tanghulu again after you burned yourself. I was SUPER worried about your finger but I'm glad your okay now!!! Hope you don't burn yourself again!🥵

Wow~ the candied fruit looks so good! I might as well try them out.

@@kdisdagoat3156 I haven`t tried with brown sugar but it may work out for you ( not dark brown sugar)
@@aebgang7197 so how did it go
That crunch! 👌🏻
This is literally the most helpful tutorial I've seen! Thank you!!
TIP: If you use a candy thermometer, it helps so much, wait until its at 300 degrees F. It will be perfect, also dont freak out if it sticks to the bottom of the pot or pan, dump out as much sugar as you can, fill the pot back up with water and bring to a boil, stir and then all the sugar will come up and melt.
thank you so muchhhh
Good tip. Can I use any fruit ? Like banana or orange 🍊?
@@Overdosed_On_Teayes u can!
@@DeBaraNosh thanks. I love oranges so I will try with oranges.
Why does everyone in here act like they are cooking meth 😂😂😂 they are like: I hope my mom doesn't find out

@@victorsmith4975 yes I'm making it right now and my mom is sleeping so thats thats good
@@victorsmith4975 I gave my mom a try after making it without realizing that my mom is not a hard candy person. Cakes and ice cream is fine but hard candy is not exactly her favorite
my mom will kill me if she finds out unless it works
@@victorsmith4975 my dad would care and my mom is not here
really cool! i’ll take a big step and try it out
Nice!! I reccomend dipping the fruits straight into a bowl of ice water, instead of onto parchment paper.
Tysm I needed this my Lil sis wants to try this sooo bad so I’m gonna go make it for her lol and some for me 😊
Hope you enjoy
Several stuff that I learn after doing it, don't coat the fruit too thick. Put parchment paper on plates because the candy will harden on the plate (I put it on plate). If the candy is stuck on the plate, don't use your hand or you might get injured.
The taste is good but not much of my kind of food.
So I ended blending the fruit in a juice blender
Lol i wish i read this sooner 😭 bc all of this happened to me
The sound in the background is so nice and soothing and fits the video perfectly!

Thank you! We’re actually making this today and thanks for showing!
I made mine with tiny oranges and they were amazing! I overcooked the sugar just a tad bit but it was still super good, thankyou!! ♥️♥️
Mine came out perfectly! Thank you so much you helped a lot!
I tried and they're delicious! It's a lot easier to get it right if you use a candy thermometer though. The syrup will be ready when the temperature reaches 300 degrees.
I love this simple recipe and how gorgeous the fruit look! I will be using this recipe!
Those are some fresh beautiful red strawberries you have there. I never seen some so perfect in stores.

Love them they are soo good i have made them so many times because of how good they were💖😮i love it
Omg it totally worked thank you. Im excited to try it out
Amazing! The results were better than I thought, although it did take me closer to 25 minutes to make, and it never really turned gold-ish.
Same here, I just kept taking a spoon and pouring some into a cold cup of water and it was not doing anything, then I added ice to the water to make it cooler and eventually the syrup got hard. It came out wonderfully. The last few grapes were on the verge of having burnt syrup though 😭
I just tried this, and oh my goddd it was so good! Me and my sister loved it!

I just tried for the first time and I found it surprisingly easy! Thank you
im currently making it, was it a hassle washing the pot?
@@ham91100 definitely, it was really hard but we managed it with boiling water and washing up liquid x
How much time do we need to wait till it’s done?
@@naderbaader9493 the sugar mix thing or until it’s hardened. About ten to fifteen minutes until it’s done boiling and you are ready to dip or until it has the yellow tinge or like half an hour until it completely hardens. It’s quite tough between your teeth x
The surger flatting was so satisfying
Thank you so much!!!
If you want a really pretty color, add some food dye! Adding red food coloring to the syrup for strawberries makes it look so pretty
I was waiting for her to eat it :)
The sound was so asmr😌
It so easy.
Thanks for good and easy explanation, and you are right when you insist on the risk of burning. Others don't do! It's very important to know that sugar can reach very high temperature, and caramel requires more prudence than anything else when you are cooking. It's very dangerous. If you burn, please dont't wait and fill a bowl with cold water and soak your hand inside for 10 minutes .
cleaning the pot at the end is hell my mum was shouting so much XD
Just add hot water the sugar will melt away
