I can tell you why about 7th Prince. It's REALLY SIMPLE... Its the Prince's Attitude to the world he lives in... he's a Mad Scientist Archetype only for Magic, and everything about the show centers around that fact. His being Op, his actions, the hot girlathon around him... ALL of it is secondary to the fact that he is the peak of Insane Curiosity about his passion. There's an optimistic spirit of discovery and drive behind him that comes across well. Glad you are enjoying the criminally underwatched Yatagarasu. It’s my favorite apart from Eupho this season. It will actually be running for 20 continuous episodes, and covers two novels that take place simultaneously. The first is from Asebi’s POV; the second from the attendant’s. Also: “high speed eh-toll-ee”. Didn’t you learn French at some point?
I took as much French as was specifically required by my elementary and high school and nothing more. Even then I took the easiest credits I could. Never liked the language personally, but I mostly caulk that up to even having teachers that treated it as a chore we were required to learn since it's one of Canada's "Official Languages". In retrospect I do regret not learning another language when I was younger. But even now I've never been in a situation where another language would be useful / helpful in everyday life so.....yeah.
@@GlassReflection And i assumed you know French because you keep saying shibi instead of chibi. At least i hear that in that ''12 days of Christmas'' song with Joey.
I’ll have to find the novels- I love these semi-Chinese court drama fantasies and there just aren’t enough of them for me. I can only rewatch 12 Kingdoms and Saiunkoku so many times in one year, though the Raven and Alchemist girl have scratched the itch a bit lately as well…
I sweared the exception was going to be spice and wolf Edit: sorry for the bad grammar, I meant to say "I sword the exception was going to be curry and canine"
It has to be that he's going to wait till the season ends and seperates it out. There is no reality in which Glass Reflection does not do a video covering the Spice and Wolf reboot.
I really wish i more people talked about yatagarasu. It's my favourite new Anime this season. A way more grounded fantasy world. I absolutly love all the political intrigue And the story structure with 2 character perspectives makes it really intersing
This show got me into its manga, and there are two branches to the series' story, one political and mysterious, the other also mysterious but with some archery elements.
The omegaverse anime turning out to be one of the top comfort shows of the season is the best twist of irony. XD I really do recommend it for how wholesome and sweet it is.
Yes, I 2nd this. I'm 8 episodes in and it feels as soothing and fun to watch as My New Boss is Goofy was last season, without obnoxious 2nd characters with gimmicks.
Funny you say Jellyfish reminds you of A Place Further than the Universe, because the scriptwriter for the latter is the scriptwriter for Girls Band Cry. I think you let your preconceptions about certain genres get the better of you this season. Girls Band Cry *is* very much a music anime, but by far the main attraction among the small number of fans it has garnered has been its superb character writing.
Genuinely, the character writing and interactions are just... So great. The way the characters are allowed to have realistic flaws which can in equal parts cause problems and friction between themselves and help them navigate their interactions and help solve problems is so refreshing. Momoka gives sage advice, even when it's not helpful or wanted, Subaru lives by a facade of politeness but it also means she can sorta be a public face for the trio, and Nina has a short temper and violent outbursts which causes problems for her but also get through to people because she will take real action and be brutally honest when provoked. Any of them could be a token antagonist figure in a normal CGDCT anime, but they're allowed to exist and be people who argue and reconcile, frequently. And the character animation really sells it all.
As a romance anime virgin, I've given Vampire Dormitory a try and I embarassingly love it. I find the lead girl cute and the simple plot is refreshingly straight forward.
I'm so glad you're enjoying Tonari no Youkai-san! There's way too many people not watching it and it's such a shame because it's really intriguing but also wholesome! It just introduced a major plot element as well and it's getting exciting
54:04 Not defending the numerous silly aspects of this show's plot, but it seems obvious to me that living as a homeless teenage girl is inherently more dangerous than living as a homeless teenage boy. It's a super common trope in anime, therefore they didn't feel the need to explain it.
I'm liking Salad Bowl of Eccentrics because it reminds me of a combination of Hinamatsuri, but without the heavy sad parts and Sasake to P-chan without the lolicon subtones. Minor spoilers for 'a condition called love" the MC watches Hananoi-kun get dumped, not the other way around and also, while she seems like she was an ARom character, she is not. Her aversion or confusion about love and romance is traumatic, not innate. After a couple of episodes I thought I was going to end up dropping this series because of the mishandling of an ARom character, but now understanding that she really isn't one, the series makes more sense.
I only agree with you about 50% of the time, but I do appreciate these videos because you summarize and give limited analysis to shows that I'm frankly too busy to watch just on the chance that I might like them. For example I really don't care for Kaiju media at all, and therefore dismissed Kaiju No. 8 out of hand, but I'm glad I watched this video because that's an interesting enough take on the genre that I would like to give it a shot.
I read The Fable manga very shortly before discovering it was getting an anime adaptation, and I'm glad I did. The anime itself isn't horrible, but there are SO many more details in the manga, and the art is incredible, I would highly recommend reading it over watching the anime, plenty of "hitman moments", and it's completed, as well as a completed sequel series.
I don't really mind this video being late. It gives me ideas on shows I missed, but that were worth giving a shot to. It's nice if it releases early, but if not, then I still will get the full introduction to the shows I missed, without losing anything. I just hope you keep making those, as they are super helpful!
Just clicked on it, haven't watched it. The second I saw this video in my feed I thought "He just wanted to get a good read on the new spice and wolf, the first story arc just ended...this all lines up with "getting a good read". Now to see if it's in here, given his rule.
Grandpa and Grandma has a lot of subtle but cute humor. It's perfect for a light hearted, but endearing love story. Especially when divorce is appallingly common.
gotta say a condition called love struck my curiosity and having watched the first few episodes it's really got my attention.the story is really well done and the context of his character is very sus,if like me you go ahead and read the manga you start to get the jist of his character.
@@DC-rb3uz I always have a lot of contempt, when I see people being aggressively nostalgic, claiming that today no good anime are coming out. Allegedly it ended with the 90s or so... 😮
About Whisper Me a Love Song, I watched the first and then jumped to the manga so I can say this: at the rate it's being adapted the anime is gonna show a lot of story progression each episode, it's a keep. Always good to see a romance story when people actually TALK about their feelings, it's not a dramatic story, considering their age, the main characters act really honest and maturelly (well, all the characters are really good people, even the antagonist). To bad it's a yuri and probably it's not gonna have a second season
Modern anime has the stereotype of the title being the description but i remember when every anime had a WTF title that meant absolutely NOTHING like "i my me strawberry eggs" bubblegum crisis, Boogiepop phantom, fooly Cooly(flcl), paranoia agent, serial experiment lain, ergo proxy,
The title being the description comes from Light Novels which came from Web Novels. Basically when authors release their stories on Web Novel sites the meta was to include the description in the title to hook more viewers so they'd be more likely to read your story. Then it just became an ironic joke that's kept up
OK so I just started watching but I like this type of video mid season because you get the chance to binge while still watching week to week for the rest of it. Yall be selling me on anime I never would have been aware of.
My favorites shows in this season so far are Girls Band Cry and Train to the End of the World. Liking the expressive 3D animation and interaction between the characters in Girls Band Cry while the premise of Train to the End of the World is very intriguing.
I got burnt out by watching a bunch of other youtubers I'm subscribed to make videos like this, so you taking your time with this video and releasing it at a different time gave me a nice break. :)
I would LOVE to see what your thoughts on the Spice and Wolf remake are. As someone who watched the orginals when they came out, and have read every light novel since, really am curious on what you think.
Train to the end of the World is literally anime infinity train. I'm all for that considering how HBO cancelled that show before it got a proper finale, so i'm treating this anime as basically more infinity train
The last few episodes (roughly 5-7) of "As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World" have been fantastic. The overall feel and the music setting the mood, they've felt more like a movie than TV.
By ep 6 Astro Note has gotten further along in the romantic department than I expected, and Mira isn't quite so oblivious to romance as she was in the opening eps. Given it's an original and there's no promise of a sequel (unless it has spectacular blu-ray sales) I hope it wraps up by the end of the season, although I would love another season. So far my pick of the season.
Are you not familiar with Maison Ikkoku? I am surprised at no mention of it when reviewing AstroNote. The show is almost a carbon copy of Maison Ikkoku, but with added Urusei Yatsura elements - two of the earliest Rumiko Takahashi manga that ran concurrently to each other.
*A Condition Called Love: His girlfriend dumps HIM. Trust me. It's important. Awwwwww you gotta give it a chance. He's coming from a good place and he grows a lot. *Archdemon's Elf Bride: It's sooo cute so far!! *Astro Note: it's REALLY fun... Sad more people aren't watching it! *Grandma & Grandpa Turn Young Again: it's really really cute. If you love romance, give it a try! *I like sports anime a lot, but I think baseball is the most boring sport (outside of golf) that has ever existed. That being said, I'm really enjoying Oblivion Battery! The group of boys is really fun, and it's been surprisingly heartwarming!
-"A Condition Called Love" is really good because it critiques all the common shoujo tropes, specifically the hopeless romantic character, the whole point is that Hananoi's view of love *is* toxic, and Hotaru has no idea how to navigate that sort of world. -An Archdemon's Dilemma is oddly kinda... good? Also Zagan releases the slave collar on Nephy by like epsiode 4 dude -Oblivion Battery is weird... I think it's really inconsistent, and I wish it expanded more on Kaname's amensia -The Fable's animation is a bit rough around the edges but it's really funny, underrated asf -WIND BREAKER is also weird, feels more like a generic battle shounen (albiet with cool visuals) than a bosozoku, the characters are very one dimensional, which sucks. At least the fights are cool. But turning deliquents into a pseudo police force is dumb -YATAGARASU... sleeper hit of the season!
I've been subbed to your channel since the PodTaku days, and gotta say, i appreciate you so much for doing these seasonal round-ups. Keep up the good work
Unnamed Memory is really good so far IF you go into the Crunchyroll comments and read the comments from the person who has read the light novel and explains all the missing stuff.... They sped the story up so much that it's missing a ton that would make the story make sense. So that's unfortunate. But with the extra help, I'm quite enjoying it!
Whisper Me a Love Song is super worth watching through!!! It’s a cute romance. Himari doesn’t realize it’s love she feels. Because she’s more of a panromantic? She finds it easy to fall in love with people. As far as drama… you mostly get that out of side romances. Because every character is part of a yuri couple.
Hm, I don't care about any of the sports in the sports anime I've enjoyed. Eyeshield 21 didn't make me care about American football, Oblivion Battery does not make me care about baseball, Free! did not make me care about swimming, Blue Lock did not make me care about soccer. I think chemistry and character/team dynamics are actually the heart and soul of sports anime.
Thank you so much for making these types of videos. I know it takes a long time and I really love them. They are so helpful. Hope you’re doing great and get some time to rest. 😊
Skin aging is 80% dependent on sunlight exposure. I'm not sure if sunlight is even necessary for humans since you can take vitamin D. Collagen supplements very likely also reduce skin aging.
Keeps 7th Prince, puts Jellyfish on Hold. Welcome to the trash isekai loving phase of your life! j/k Full disclosure, I'm watching both, and enjoying both, though I do tend to confuse elements between Jellyfish and Girls Band Cry.
Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night, what makes it so great to me (I’m caught up) is how realistic this story is. How they’re using social media to handle their increase following, how they’re handling their “faceless” group of artists, and also just the world around the characters how it melts all together with them so seamlessly. To me it’s almost like you’re watching some sort of “pseudo documentary”, but with the anime flair. I consume the real-life version of this type content that these characters are creating, so it’s a real treat to see this finally put into the perspective within an anime. Then on top of that the show is drop dead gorgeous and so well directed. I hope this comment isn’t too all over the place, it’s hard to express my feelings about this show lol, anyway…
I think that, with the 7th Prince, the hook that keeps you engaged is just how _ENTHUSIASTIC_ he is at every single little spell, skill and technique he learns, and it is written well enough that it is infectious every bit of magic being animated so well doesn't hurt
Chillin in Another World has really surprised me with how cute it is. Also, that we look to be building up the 2nd players up while we watch the other 'hero' fall flat is a nice change of pace.
_Whisper Me a Love Song_ is *definitely* not the kind of romance you will hate. There is _an answer_ to the confession. I won't say how it goes. And it happens sooner rather than later.
To advocate for those who would skip Archdemon's dilemma because of it's starting premise...even after watching this. I will says this. The Magus' Bride starts exactly the same way, except this guy knows and can comprehend his own feelings. If you gave that a chance, you should definitely give this one a chance.
Honestly I think people who are scared off by its premise, just haven't been watching anime long enough to be familiar with even Magus' Bride. Any long term viewer knows all about tropes and engagement hooks, and knows when to overlook them and judge the material for what it is, based on story development.
I appreciate that Astro note is effectively a love letter to Rumiko Takahashi, a mix of UY and Maison Ikkoku. Hell I expected to see a gender bent martial artist and a walking panda at any moment...
Seconding this! The entire plot is about characters developing and learning together, and Hananoi's behavior (even in the snow scene!) is called out as extreme and self-destructive. The only reason it isn't super explicit from the start is because our lead is also kind of clueless at the start
@@boshwa20 that's realistic too isn't it? These people exist in society way more than we think. It's common. Extreme verson being guys who can't take no for answer
7th son, just great animations. The way the MC looks when learning something new that really does not help him at all is so exciting. Like he has a... for lack of a better term perverse enjoyment for learning something that no one else knows.
He has a wonderous childish joy in learning new things. He has the power to back it up, all beautifully animated. And he has thighs that I really wish would quit. Seriously; the first episode spends too much time looking at his legs. Either it tones down later or I've somehow become desensitised to it. Either way, it's the one I most look forward to each week.
The more the series goes on, the more it comes off like whoever reincarnated MC was basically building his ultimate computer. Let’s hook this magic obsessed genius with infinite power. I’ll use the twink chassis he won’t really care about but will be hilariously distracting for any readers.
I think the reason 7th Prince is addicting (it’s my person favorite of the season), is that Lloyd doesn’t indulge in those tropes. He is so one-minded on magic that the normal bothersome things don’t really stick out. Also, the animation is really solid.
Grandma is "Sawako" from "Kimi ni Todoke" which I still can't believe (Also, getting a season 3 of that!!). It's been pretty good, but it's more a collection of mini stories with a bit of overarching story.
A bunch of the anime this season I've wanted to watch I just haven't gotten to yet. I've wanted to watch Whisper Me a Love Song, Train to the End of the World, Astro Note, Grimm Variations, and others. I'm a few episodes behind on Mysterious Disappearances, The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio, and Go Go Loser Ranger. I love Yatagarusu: The Raven Doesn't Choose Its Master, Musoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2, and Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf, and I like Bartender: God of Glass and Mission: Yozakura Family. And Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night is my Best of the Season so far.
New subscriber here. Already watched some of your older reviews. Really like your style and presentation man! Definitely adding some of your recs, which I must say is absolutely totally NOT helping putting a dent in my PTW list
The mention of the Omegaverse made me recoil, wasn't expecting that like at first it was aww cute this could be good rep to oh god why please no not this anything but this.
By far the funniest part of this entire season is casual anime fans finding out what the Omegaverse is.
its great. it never stops being funny. thankfully, tadaima okaeri is very wholesome and fluffy. its a very light dipping the toes into the waters of omegaverse.
my mind was blown
I found out about it this season, as well. And I'm glad to know about this hilariously degenerate subgenre.

I'm so glad you're enjoying Tonari no Youkai-san! There's way too many people not watching it and it's such a shame because it's really intriguing but also wholesome! It just introduced a major plot element as well and it's getting exciting
Aww what a cute wholesome anime. then its oops you got sucked up by a dark shadow and now suffer SUPER DEATH
54:04 Not defending the numerous silly aspects of this show's plot, but it seems obvious to me that living as a homeless teenage girl is inherently more dangerous than living as a homeless teenage boy. It's a super common trope in anime, therefore they didn't feel the need to explain it.
Yeah I was surprised this seemed unusual. I honestly think it's a fun little show for those that liked Ouran, fruits basket or antique bakery.
Tbh i only watch it cause it reminds me of GATE, the reverse isekai with soldiers
THERE'S AN OMEGAVERSE BL?!?!?!?!? holy shit
Damn it, that's the one genre of BL I will never watch, guess I will have to wait a year
its so wholesome i highly recommend it
It was bound to happend eventually. The choice is... probably the only possible one.
It's a slice of life, but hell yeah. It's SO GOOD! I read the manga after like episode 2 cuz I couldn't get enough of it.
@@RogueBulbit's extremely tame. It's mostly just a slice of life.
Astro Note is also a big nostalgia bomb/love letter to 90s anime, more specifically shoujo anime, with a bit of sci-fi.
I don't really mind this video being late. It gives me ideas on shows I missed, but that were worth giving a shot to. It's nice if it releases early, but if not, then I still will get the full introduction to the shows I missed, without losing anything. I just hope you keep making those, as they are super helpful!
i appreciate you putting chapters in the video. real mvp!
Recent episodes have also had a lot of heart, looking at the realities of ageing and outliving people.
Completely agree!
You're a legend for making this video - must have taken ages to put together. Thanks!
gotta say a condition called love struck my curiosity and having watched the first few episodes it's really got my attention.the story is really well done and the context of his character is very sus,if like me you go ahead and read the manga you start to get the jist of his character.
Honestly, I love your humble abode, Love how cozy the background looks.
I'm legitimately watching over 20 anime this season, it's insane how many good show are coming out right now.
Yah people just overlook how many good animes we are getting each season.
And this been going for long time.
@@DC-rb3uz
I always have a lot of contempt, when I see people being aggressively nostalgic, claiming that today no good anime are coming out. Allegedly it ended with the 90s or so... 😮
Yeah I'm watching soooo many...
@@NoidoDev yah that shit irritates me too.
As long as it gets to Vol 6 THATS ALL WE NEED!
Modern anime has the stereotype of the title being the description but i remember when every anime had a WTF title that meant absolutely NOTHING like
"i my me strawberry eggs" bubblegum crisis,
Boogiepop phantom, fooly Cooly(flcl), paranoia agent, serial experiment lain, ergo proxy,
The title being the description comes from Light Novels which came from Web Novels.
Basically when authors release their stories on Web Novel sites the meta was to include the description in the title to hook more viewers so they'd be more likely to read your story. Then it just became an ironic joke that's kept up
But Serial Experiments Lain is the title being a description. Lain is an experiment.
Bleach. Like what the fuck do you mean by "bleach", what are cleaning?
I think you underselled a lot Astral Note, the support cast is incredible a lot of great comedic bits and the art and character design are beautiful
I have always been here for Arkada's, "F you. I do me" approach and it has never let me down. Also OG gang who knew what sequel we were discussing :D
I’m giving Viral Hit a shot just because I’ve read the series… there is just some moments I really like to see animated.
Train to the end of the World is literally anime infinity train. I'm all for that considering how HBO cancelled that show before it got a proper finale, so i'm treating this anime as basically more infinity train
tossing fable was unexpected development
Astro Note is practically Maison Ikkoku with a hint of Urusei Yatsura
Amount of good animes we are getting each month just feels crazy. I never seen any other media keep doing like this.
cant... stop... staring... at the dot in the middle of the screen!!!!!!!!!!!
Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai is clearly the hidden gem of the season. God the plot twists
The fable opens up a lot after the first bit. There is comedy romance, action and mystery
The comedy is very refreshing, one of my favorites this season.
@@tatotato85 I’ve read both the manga. It’s an all timer
'Death Note, but in space'
I'll take a potato chip...and eat it! IN SPACE!
-An Archdemon's Dilemma is oddly kinda... good? Also Zagan releases the slave collar on Nephy by like epsiode 4 dude
-Oblivion Battery is weird... I think it's really inconsistent, and I wish it expanded more on Kaname's amensia
-The Fable's animation is a bit rough around the edges but it's really funny, underrated asf
-WIND BREAKER is also weird, feels more like a generic battle shounen (albiet with cool visuals) than a bosozoku, the characters are very one dimensional, which sucks. At least the fights are cool. But turning deliquents into a pseudo police force is dumb
-YATAGARASU... sleeper hit of the season!
Fable is not rough it's mostly terrible and unremarkably cheap
The Live Action are way better
@@murderman8578 Tezuka Productions are also behind Pluto so... you tell me
I've been subbed to your channel since the PodTaku days, and gotta say, i appreciate you so much for doing these seasonal round-ups.
37:50 I've been adoring Re:Monster. I never would have expected it, but damn does it actually keep moving.
Whisper me a Love Song will not let you down!
The level of rage alone has left me entertained with Girls Bamd Cry
Thank you so much for making these types of videos. I know it takes a long time and I really love them. They are so helpful. Hope you’re doing great and get some time to rest. 😊
Does this guy age
Skin aging is 80% dependent on sunlight exposure. I'm not sure if sunlight is even necessary for humans since you can take vitamin D. Collagen supplements very likely also reduce skin aging.
Must be his Hamon
The most Caucasian sentence I've ever read LMFAO
Keeps 7th Prince, puts Jellyfish on Hold. Welcome to the trash isekai loving phase of your life! j/k
Full disclosure, I'm watching both, and enjoying both, though I do tend to confuse elements between Jellyfish and Girls Band Cry.
As usual thanks for the video, i managed to add 3 new series to my seasonal anime watchlist (now sitting at 18).
Salad bowl is my favorite this season.
bro viral hit anime is good watch the leatest episode. This anime is going to be a good anime, I think so.
It’s amazing to see a lot of the same names in the patreon list, it’s like 10 years of these people keeping GR in business 👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽
I think that, with the 7th Prince, the hook that keeps you engaged is just how
_ENTHUSIASTIC_
he is at every single little spell, skill and technique he learns, and it is written well enough that it is infectious
every bit of magic being animated so well doesn't hurt
Yeah exactly. He's a Magic Mad Scientist and every action written lets you know just how deeply passionate he is about that.
The opening is super good :3
Both elf bride and the aristocrat are really good manga. The elf bride is pretty wholesome and slowly they do fall in love.
I am ok with the more casual clothes as a nice one off
This season has some really good animes
Chillin in Another World has really surprised me with how cute it is. Also, that we look to be building up the 2nd players up while we watch the other 'hero' fall flat is a nice change of pace.
Its opening says everything about the nature of the show.
@Miraihi it so does, lol.
Don't worry, Whisper me a Love Song manga didn't break my heart.
100%
Such a heartwarming manga/show so far!
I like the characters and world, but I've read the manga for a while and it felt like it wasn't going anywhere with the story.
Honestly I think people who are scared off by its premise, just haven't been watching anime long enough to be familiar with even Magus' Bride. Any long term viewer knows all about tropes and engagement hooks, and knows when to overlook them and judge the material for what it is, based on story development.
I look forward to these every season. You're doing the lord's work and saving us loads of time. Thank you
This whole season made me wanna read manga again.
I appreciate that Astro note is effectively a love letter to Rumiko Takahashi, a mix of UY and Maison Ikkoku.
Hell I expected to see a gender bent martial artist and a walking panda at any moment...
Glass Of God follows the Live Action version.
Thanks for always making these seasonal videos :)
Yayyy long form content !
7th Prince is so entertainingly unhinged that it even dares you to look away while all this awesomeness is happening on screen.
A couple of additions to my watch list this season but nothing that leaps out at me as a must watch. Thanks for the summaries.
since crunchy roll took comments off, “an archdemon’s dilemma “ it’s a solid 4.7 good trash, lightly seasoned with cute, romantic, and funny
Hold up on a condition called love. Hananoi's character development is the core idea of the story
Seconding this! The entire plot is about characters developing and learning together, and Hananoi's behavior (even in the snow scene!) is called out as extreme and self-destructive. The only reason it isn't super explicit from the start is because our lead is also kind of clueless at the start
And I accept it and will continue to watch.
But man, I almost dropped it when he said he won't be friends with her if they broke up
The best way someone described it for me is that Hananoi is like Tohru from Fruits Basket. Under all that off-putting kindness is a traumatized child.
@@boshwa20 that's realistic too isn't it? These people exist in society way more than we think. It's common. Extreme verson being guys who can't take no for answer
The Blue Pill is strong here. 😅
As someone who only started watching this season's animes last saturday, I find that your video is *perfectly* timed!
He’s magic maomao
The more the series goes on, the more it comes off like whoever reincarnated MC was basically building his ultimate computer. Let’s hook this magic obsessed genius with infinite power. I’ll use the twink chassis he won’t really care about but will be hilariously distracting for any readers.
1:40
Me who knows nothing about the history of this channel: "......Is it Bartender?"
Same.
I think the reason 7th Prince is addicting (it’s my person favorite of the season), is that Lloyd doesn’t indulge in those tropes. He is so one-minded on magic that the normal bothersome things don’t really stick out. Also, the animation is really solid.
Can’t believe your asterisk was for Bartender and not Spice & Wolf.
Lv2 Kara Cheat is basically a 2000s J.C. Staff anime throwback, namely Zero no Tsukaima
In Gods’ Games We Play, you don’t get only ONE wish. You can make as many wishes as you want
Grandma is "Sawako" from "Kimi ni Todoke" which I still can't believe (Also, getting a season 3 of that!!). It's been pretty good, but it's more a collection of mini stories with a bit of overarching story.
I feeling proud of myself after finding that I've droped more isekai than Glass, good job me.
Finally someone talking about Tonari and Yatagarasu. Those two have easily been the standouts to me so far
yozakura ages well ngl (in the manga at least)
New subscriber here. Already watched some of your older reviews. Really like your style and presentation man! Definitely adding some of your recs, which I must say is absolutely totally NOT helping putting a dent in my PTW list
The mention of the Omegaverse made me recoil, wasn't expecting that like at first it was aww cute this could be good rep to oh god why please no not this anything but this.
so Level 2 Cheat get a "Keep" while Astro Note, Girls Band Cry and Jelly Fish get "Hold"? bloody hell...
You tossed the salad. lol
I like the TARDIS painting in the background
