Maple Springs Observation Deck & Cheoah River Put In 4K

After doing the short hike around the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest - we decided to check this area out - the road dead ends here. From the parking area - take the short walk out to the observation area where you have splendid views of the surrounding mountains and valleys! We decided to be lazy and just soak up some sun. I also decided to fly the drone from here - and from it you could see the Santeetlah Dam!
On our way back to camp - we found the Cheoah River Put-In and walked around this area hoping to get a better view of the dam. While there wasn't a better view of the dam from the ground - the drone was able to get some great footage of the lake, dam, and surrounding mountains!
