I agree with your take on Charismatic Voice. I don't really care about most reaction content but her very technical reviews of Slaughter to Prevail, Lorna Shore, and Type O Negative were incredibly entertaining and she is an amazing vocalist as well.
My wife has a degree in vocal performance, teaches private voice lessons, and teaches at a school. She walked into the room one time while I was watching a Charismatic Voice video and started pointing out to me a lot of the jargon and terms she uses don’t make sense and/or are inaccurate. It was just a few minutes from one video so take from that what you will, but I think she benefits from a lot of her viewers not knowing about singing or not being a classically trained singers and can get away with saying some stuff that is wrong or not technically correct. She has a great voice and I’m sure she has had a lot of couching and what not, but at the same time I would take her technique things with a grain of salt.

Couple that with her being objectively attractive and her channel works on lots of levels.
Finn, I know I’m probably in a minority of your fans, but I actually love when you go deep on the business, marketing, and art design of a band and explain how it helped or hurt their popularity. Maybe there are up and coming or underground bands open to your feedback or even artists outside the rock scene who you would point to as being on the fore front of where you see rock/music going.

I enjoy watching 12 Tone too, who is certainly in the same ball park as Adam Neely, but I find his explanations of music theory more comprehensible (and a lot of it still goes over my head), but at least he discusses 'popular' music, or at least music that isn't just jazz.

For episode 3, I’d love to see your cover: 1. Vin And Sori - a husband/wife Christian couple who does reaction videos to various metal and hard rock songs, but in a very thoughtful and nuanced way (they even got a shout out from none other than Nergal himself for their analysis of “Blow Your Trumpets, Gabriel”). 2. You absolutely nailed it with Glenn Fricker .. the abrasive, yelling persona is a schtick, just like, say, Ola has his own different style of on camera personality.
Someone put it perfectly that Ola has "drunk guy energy" and it's a perfect description. I think people who dislike Glenn probably dislike Finn for similar reasons in that they both are very opinionated which can come off as being an asshole to people who don't like their opinions challenged
I watched Glenn regularly until he got stuck on the Gibson. I'm not a Gibson guy or anything, the shows just got too repetitive. I haven't checked back to see if he ever moved on.
I started watching you because you showed me Boxcar Racer, and I enjoy your videos especially when you throw in a real life “kinda” story about listening to so and so song back in the early 2000s and giving it a backstory.
12:30 You seem to always express your thoughts in a respectful way without being wishy-washy or uncertain. It genuinely blows my mind that people would consider you to be a dick because I feel like I have learned how to be more thoughtful and fair when sharing my opinions from watching your videos.

Most just wanna see other people from different walks of life introduced to niche music and shit that they themselves like to see what they say about it. For someone like Charismatic Voice that's where most of the views come from imo. "Opera singer chick listens to grunge for the first time", that's what pulls people in
I hadn't really thought of it until recently, but Ola might be the biggest influence on my guitar playing, along with Alexi Laiho and Marty Friedman. I had been playing guitar for a long time, but I don't think I ever was a good rhythm player until I started watching him play.

Why is it you never see any CZcamsrs doing this kinda thing, but in the EDM space? The only CZcamsrs that do electronic music stuff that I ever see are more DIY type channels or focus more on gear.
I love that dan frampton put out another video talking shit about finn and finns repsonse was to make a video about other music youtubers and flat out ignored his existence😂
I watch 3 of these channels on a semi-regular basis so I'm entitled to an opinion. And since I'm usually right about most stuff, you can safely assume I know what I'm writing about. 1. Adam Neely. If not most, then at least a large percentage of his viewers are musicians, myself included. Well, ok, I'm not a musician, I'm a bassist. But so is he - and a monster one at that. And he knows his theory, and he definitely can talk about it in a really interesting manner. Me, I know fuck all about theory, I know my minor from my major and that’s about it - but listening to him, I feel I open myself to new knowledge, one I once didn't care much about. I find myself wanting to learn theory. This is Adam's fault. 2. Charismatic Voice. Elisabeth is just so likable, it's hard to resist watching her videos. And, like with Adam and theory, she made me appreciate good vocals so much more! What's more - she made me want to learn to sing. I mean, actually learn. Besides, it's thanks to her that I discovered Jinjer and Devin Townsend. 3. Spectre Sound Studios. Glenn's an opinionated mf (like you are, Finn) but he does a really good job educating people on how to get good tonal results without spending a fuckton of money. Hell, I learned something from him, and, me being a bassist, says something. I only wish he didn't talk so much about Chinese gear, as sponsoring Pooh's regime will fuck all of us in the long run. Support Taiwan, people!
Been a fan of Neely’s channel for years. He’s got some great vids that go beyond simply being an arch-music nerd (thought Finn was definitely pidgeonholing him here). One of my favs though is his dismantling the notion that the tritone was banned by the Catholic Church in mideval Europe - a sad realization for any metal lover!
I'm still shocked people actually make a living off CZcams. I met a guy who's doing it. I guess its getting that common, but yeah he started making videos when he wa like 15 and is now making a living. I guess there's no way around it. it takes years
I don't think I've watched your other "review CZcamsrs" video, so I'll have to go back and see who you talk about there, but my favorite music deep dive channel is probably Trash Theory.
Charismatic voice has a total hypnotic vibe for me: She's gorgeous first of all just hands down, so intelligent and articulate, she seems so sweet and kind and her passion is so very obvious it's hard to look away she's mesmerizing
Man, you were so mercyless. How do you destroyed these poor people. Every fact hit so hard, not to mention the logic. You put them in their place. Great video, go after all. Your mission is not completed.
the difference between all those people and The Charismatic Voice is that she is a pretty famous Opera singer and she performed for the Queen and the royal family.
23:44 I love Glenn. He's not mean at all lol, he's like someone's big jovial uncle. A guy who acts crazy but has more common sense than anyone in the room. In fact he helps younger bands and producers not blow $1000s in cash on overhyped equipment.
When it comes to Neely, it’s not about its being nerdy, it’s about him being able to explain complex(nerdy) ideas to people who don’t need to requisite nerdy knowledge.
I'd say Pat, I love you, your my brother, and I like your videos. Neely is great, when his videos come on, the room starts to smell of corks and pretense.
We are at a point where SB Mowing has 7.7 mil views on a video. Just a man mowing unkempt lawns. CZcams is a wild place where there is an audience for anyone.
I'm not big on react CZcamsrs....but charismatic voice is great. I love how much she loves music, and can explain why she likes it more than just "yo that good".
"hard work pays off" and he talks about a youtuber? LOL. The nurse or construction worker or waiter should just work harder to overcome poverty!!! This words out of a "punk"'s mouth are just so sad...unbelievable...
Charismatic Voice is fun to watch because she gets so into the music and like rewinds the video to the points she finds exciting.
ye she is just a wholesome nerd you have to like.
I love her videos. Sometimes I get impatient when I’ve heard the song and any wait til she gets to the best part.
She's like the pretty music teacher in high school that all the kids fell in love with, and a fantasized about her listening to their terrible bands music and being really complimentary
TBH it's honestly good seeing anyone with music cred vindicating our music. Its obnoxious how many people say it's just noise
I like her. But she is rewinding at least 30 times per video. It's a little anoying to watch.

Has Finn ever did something on country music? Like maybe even some weird cowboy alternative music like kid rock and buck satan. That might be fun.
He’s talked bout kid rock multiple times
@@rileysharpe2011 I’m referring to this topic not that artist. I was just giving off the top of my head examples.
I love that dan frampton put out another video talking shit about finn and finns repsonse was to make a video about other music youtubers and flat out ignored his existence😂
@@Luke5100 another music youtuber with an obsession with hating on finn and travis barker
As Finn rightfully should. Dan Frampton is one of the biggest betas around. F tier content, him and ARTV are my least favorite CZcamsrs.
Charismatic voice has some serious horse girl vibes
TCV Liz is a gem. Her reactions are priceless.
Thanks for introducing me to Adam Neely. I have a master’s in musicology, so I’m looking forward to watching his videos.
Finn McKenty, DickeyDines, Crustbag and Jimmy The Giant releasing videos on the same day?
If you do a third one of these I'd throw in a vote for TheFairyVoiceMother
Also neo punk's hardcore lyric or terr0rist manifesto video cracked me up so much i had to try that game with friends 😂
Hornet King! That was my nickname in 3rd grade.
2 of my favourite CZcams creators, you & Grady
I'm still shocked people actually make a living off CZcams. I met a guy who's doing it. I guess its getting that common, but yeah he started making videos when he wa like 15 and is now making a living. I guess there's no way around it. it takes years
Don't you Fing DARE become the type of person that you'd invite to a BBQ...
Grady is by far the best country CZcamsr.
Great video!
Charismatic voice is all about watching her facial expressions. Oh and her knowledge
the difference between all those people and The Charismatic Voice is that she is a pretty famous Opera singer and she performed for the Queen and the royal family.
Hardcore Mixing Studio should be on the next one.
23:44 I love Glenn. He's not mean at all lol, he's like someone's big jovial uncle. A guy who acts crazy but has more common sense than anyone in the room. In fact he helps younger bands and producers not blow $1000s in cash on overhyped equipment.
I love this segment!
10 of my clients in one group chat.....what could go wrong.
When it comes to Neely, it’s not about its being nerdy, it’s about him being able to explain complex(nerdy) ideas to people who don’t need to requisite nerdy knowledge.
Congrats Star!
I'd say
Pat, I love you, your my brother, and I like your videos.
Neely is great, when his videos come on, the room starts to smell of corks and pretense.
Great video here Finn, I was wondering if you do coaching sessions with smaller CZcamsrs. Thanks man 🤘
Finn you should interview the Neo punk guys
Glen is the Sam Kinison of sound engineers🤘🏻🤣👍🏻🎸🎸🎤
We are at a point where SB Mowing has 7.7 mil views on a video. Just a man mowing unkempt lawns. CZcams is a wild place where there is an audience for anyone.
Well the lesson is clear, Time to rebrand as 'The Wasp MBA' ...
Finn! I love your videos and your style. You be you!
I'm not big on react CZcamsrs....but charismatic voice is great. I love how much she loves music, and can explain why she likes it more than just "yo that good".
Justin Hawkins Rides Again is also really good...
"hard work pays off" and he talks about a youtuber? LOL. The nurse or construction worker or waiter should just work harder to overcome poverty!!! This words out of a "punk"'s mouth are just so sad...unbelievable...
Hard work is for suckers, just make reactions and review youtoobz where you're too scared to play the music and get demonitized.
