Ziva has the paradise, feel, not to mention if you don’t feel like eating in a restaurant, they have 24 hour room, service available and you don’t have to be club member, and the food is still incredible! The ambience, and atmosphere and easy access to walk around on the ground and just enjoy yourselves. Isn’t comparable to feeling like you’re in a huge resort, needing a buggy to get around. Also, the nightly entertainment was amazing and big crowd pleaser!
I’ve been on both, and I think it depends on the family ages and interests. My kids are older than your daughter and they certainly LOVE and prefer by far The Grand. For my pre-teens, it is paradise, while Ziva could be boring

Ziva best value to book with points. You can't beat 25000 ($250) points/night for two people. Ziva rooms do have Jacuuzi but they are in their upper end club rooms.
I have been 6 times on TGMP and 1 time on the hotel zone , I prefer Moon because of the food mainly, space , have 7 pools at the Grand food on many places , don't have to go to the main Looby to eat there are plenty of places to eat .
I have stayed at both. We were turned off by the different wrist band options at the Grand as well as the no ocean view. We left early and went to the Ziva .

Not being able to sit in certain lounge chairs even though no one was using them due to these chairs being reserved for other wristband holders was crappy. Yes the restaurants were great as well as the kids play areas but lack of ocean view as well as the said wristband issue was enough for us to leave early and go back to the Ziva Cancun.
no good, we took one look at the beach and left. if you like to enjoy the beach go to Ziva. to be fair seaweed is very common at Cancun resorts. The beach vibe is way better at Ziva that i'm sure of. cheers. 🍺

you have to FIND the beach entrance as well, only the buggy can take you there. it's just not as clear and direct access as Ziva, where you just walk straight directly out from the pools. it was just more annoying to go to the beach at the grand that once we found it we just left lol
Hi man! It's not a simple answer but i will try to answer you. First I have to say I like Ziva better. In my opinion, I think Moon Palace has a better kids club because of the waterpark, and that's it. Moon Palace does have a nice asian restaurant, but their Buffet is not as good as Ziva Buffet. Moon palace buffet is not good. Also, I don't like moon palace restaurant reservation system, we had to wait 2 days to eat at the steak restaurant, that means the restaurant cannot serve all the guest that is staying in the resort. One night we tried the Mexican restaurant, it was not good. And the french restaurant does not allow kids. So overall I think Ziva has the better food vesus Moon Palace. Ziva buffet is so good, i could eat the breakfast, lunch, dinner and i'll be very happy. I cannot recommend Moon Palace because there's just too much things i did not like about it. I hope this help you out!

I’ve been to Moon Palace multiple times (not even the Grand), and it was amazing. The waking is not an issue. I’ve been with young kids and older parents, and getting around is not an issue. Not sure why it’s so large an issue for you. Also, you talk about how close they are to the shopping mall. Really? Who cares? I don’t go to Mexico to go to the mall, I go for relaxing. To each his own, but from what I saw of Ziva I’m not impressed.
yes terry, you are right, it is all my opinion from MY experience. i commented about the shopping mall because thats what I like to do, it is my relaxing hobby. i am happy you love moon palace, but it's not for me.

Yea the restaurants were great, did you get to try out Habibi or Jade? Those 2 were my favorite.

can't have it all, gotta pick and choose. or stay at grand for a few days for kids to enjoy and then switch to another resort for adults to relax.

How was the beach water at Grand? I keep reading it's murky and full of seaweed whereas Ziva's beaches seem to be cleaner and clearer.

Hi man! It's not a simple answer but i will try to answer you. First I have to say I like Ziva better. In my opinion, I think Moon Palace has a better kids club because of the waterpark, and that's it. Moon Palace does have a nice asian restaurant, but their Buffet is not as good as Ziva Buffet. Moon palace buffet is not good. Also, I don't like moon palace restaurant reservation system, we had to wait 2 days to eat at the steak restaurant, that means the restaurant cannot serve all the guest that is staying in the resort. No, but there was a very tiny kids slide in the kids recreation area, it wasn't open when i was there.

Never use CC when in a foreign country.
Lol why is that???? I ALWAYS use credit card lol....Just make sure the card doesn't charge international fee's and it's all good.
