    As a patient, I can relate to the - ‘does not speak at all but has a lot of questions towards the end of the appointment’ 😂 just because I prefer not to have a conversation while someone’s hands are inside my mouth 😅

      I agree that too much Smalltalk should be avoided because ultimately they are there to get their teeth cleaned but! Smalltalk makes a patient feel comfortable, so I’m all for it!

    How to deal with someone who has a phobia with Dentist!

    • @dentalelle
      @dentalelle  Před 3 lety +2

      I make sure to let them know thats normal and many people have phobia's :). If they have questions they can ask me at anytime. I also make sure to explain everything so they are aware of what I'm doing. Often it's the "unknown" that gives them the dental phobia

    I usually enjoy small talk with doctors that don't cause much pain. That can't be said with tooth doctors. Nothing personal

    All I wanna talk about is how dentists rip people off and ask for a ton of money for a simple tooth. Like what exactly is it so expensive in a tooth? horrible people

    • @dentalelle
      @dentalelle  Před rokem +1

      Things can be very expensive I know :(

      Same reason contracting a plumber is expensive. It takes A LOT of time to learn the job. Being a dentist isn't as simple as "take tooth out" There are root canals, extractions, fillings, etc... But yes, I do fully agree that going to the dentist is very expensive.

      @@bryceolsen3527 looool nice try with that terrible explanation. My mother is a medical doctor, a proper one not a dentist, we are in Europe here, IT'S FREE !!!!! but dentists ask for a ton of money for a little tiny tooth and you're telling me because they learnt the job? my mother should be asking you for 1 million then! don't come with those terrible excuses , dentists are ripping people off. Root canal oh no... oh noooooo what a hard hard job to do! OMG !!!! OMG pushing a little wire into a little hole on no clearly that is 2000 worth of man hours! for how much you charge mate, you better give tooth made of platinum ! What a horrible terrible excuse , proper proper dentist thief

      @@bryceolsen3527 taking money from people in pain to fix them, a lot of money, because you learnt the job. Lol mate, if there's such thing as hell, dentists are everywhere there , filled with them.

      @@Jack_The_Ripper_Here If we are talking about the Healthcare system in America in general, then I would absolutely say it sucks. You shouldn't have to pay all that money for your health ever. It should be free, but the dentists still need to make money so it needs to come from somewhere i.e. universal Healthcare. But yes, I do agree Healthcare here in the US is insane. Idk why you are coming at me like that though, calm down bro.
