awesome! I'm always interested in how you and others transition to the next song in your live sets. do you just bring in one new sound and then switch pattern on the Rytm? and with that pattern change, comes a kit change, right?
Good question! I try to explain my setup: Each device is running a pattern, let´s say pattern "1". When all devices play the same pattern number the "track" is running with all parts that I prepared for that track. Let´s assume that the next song has all machines running on pattern "3" then I of course don´t switch all machines at the same time. That would result in a harsh break. Instead I switch one at a time. When I prepare the liveset I try to find gaps, for example I see that I have a track where I don´t use the Virus TI. I can then blend it in smoothly while everything else is running. Next trick: I copy sounds in the Analog Rytm from one pattern to the next. That means that there are always a few parts of the drumtracks that stay the same after a change of patterns. And yes: each Analog Rytm pattern has it´s own kit.
Martin Stürtzer I would pay to see your setup explained, btw! Would be open to showcasing your talents (live sets or dj sets) on my friend's platform Grooveo and getting paid for it?
I am not familiar with that platform and quite sure that I don´t have the time for 1to1 tutorials. But I try to answer questions here.
