I've never understood the whole Dubai thing. I have a mate at work who went there and the most interest story he told me was how these Arab guys took him out to dinner to try and sell him a Rolex. Took him to what he described as a five star restaurant surrounded by nothing but desert, and then to a club which was a couple miles drive in which he saw nothing but desert. Where they tried to show him VIP treatment of a private room where it was just three of them drinking flavoured water. I feel like most people who go to Dubai because surely only wealthy people go to Dubai right. There's fuck all there. There's nothing to look at unless you like sand. Which is course and rough. And it gets everywhere.
