    Hi Coach Vigue, You're a blessing. Thank you for your work in providing excellent content. I have congenital hip issues that have restricted me very much. But over the years, whenever I do your routines regularly (along with some other PT), I feel unrestricted and pain free. Thanks, again, and Christ be with you.

    Great to have a short taste of this. Been doing it for a week. First day it was hard, felt pointless, second day similar. Third day felt so much easier to do positions properly. Muscles were connecting. After a week, it’s clearly affecting my posture the rest of the day. Will keep at this short routine then step it up in another week thank you!

      This routine can fit however you want it to into your current workout program. It can be solo, before or after your current routine or take some of the exercises and plug them into a different workout. I recommend doing this no more than 4 times per week.

    Hi Sean, thanks for the video!
    I have a torn disc in my back so I'm trying to strengthen my core. I also have a "Tough Mudder" (5k obstacle run) to do in September that I'm hoping Pilates can help prepare me for.
    I was just wondering if you could advise on the following:
    1) How frequently should I do this work out before moving on to something longer and harder?
    2) I really struggle with the back stretch because I have tight hamstrings and it aggravates my disc, what's the best way to solve this? Simple stretch every day?
    3) Is your physique purely built from Yoga and Pilates!?
    4) I don't suppose you're heading to the UK looking for a complete novice to shape and mold for a new series of videos!? I definitely know a guy! 😁😂

      I read down on the comments that he says no more than 4 a week but can be incorporated into your current workouts for example before a 5km run.
      Btw in totally new to this too so hopefully it can sort out my lower back pain!

  • @obiwanfisher537
    @obiwanfisher537 Před rokem

    It's the first video I see from you but I am pretty sure you are an instructor, because you just keep people being engaged without messing up your breathing.
    Neer really was intereted in yoga, find that a little too spiritual and distracting, but pilates sounds great as it's pure exercise. Personally I used to be fit when I was younger, but since covid I changed a lot. Went from walking all day long for ours, probably 30k steps everydayy without even pushing or counting, just as a normal day, and generally just did sports left and right, to sitting at home, doing nothing. I also transitioned to working labour to working on my laptop, which also didn't help.
    It doesn't make me special, but I did a total 180 and notice the huge differences in everyday life. My posture changed from sitting so much, I didn't even notice until a few months ago. I noticed it by seeing my belthaving a weird bent at the back instead of being straight - it's due to my anterior tilt, and leather belts are unforgiving and have a memory, too. Like a boot, that fits snug to your individual foot after a while, the belts fit to your posture. Great way to noticeif your posture is okay or not.
    I will find a way to implement pilates into my life to fix my posture, because when I tried to pick up running a month ago, I couldn't run very far or long due to unforeseen backpain o.O After a couple of attempts, it was just clear that I will not be able to push myself without actually hurting myself.

    • @SeanVigueFitness
      @SeanVigueFitness  Před 7 lety +3

      It's usually means those hip flexors are tight and need to be regularly stretches and foam rolled (if you have one). You can always bend your knees to alleviate some of the tightness. Keep us posted!

      Hah smarty-pants! Bought the book and started the programme a few weeks ago anyway. Have survived so far! The only thing is I've strained my neck very slightly with some of the exercises so that's something to be careful about. I think Mr Vigue is really great but he could put a little more emphasis on the need to support the neck while doing Pilates. Apparently it can be a problem for a lot of people, especially when starting.
