I am a senior in high school so yeah this is my last year of high and I don't know what to do right so I'm basically stuck. Like I want to take a break this year after I graduate cause my mental health is not the best and I want to go to college next year but I don't if I should apply for college this year or next year and I want to apply for a scholarship too but I don't know what to do and I don't have an adult to speak to. So please help me I I'm stuck and lost.
heyy, personally for my taking a break from school for a year would only make me want to never go back but your mental health should be put first because if you go to college not in a good head space then it can really affect your work ethic. But if you feel like you can push through and get it over with then I say just push through you never know what type of people you’ll meet or what you will start getting into. Yes school is draining but it won’t completely stop you from working on your mental health. You just have to find that balance between school and your person life. Also if you take this break you can focus on making money and get a job. I personally don’t know how to do the scholarship stuff but if you go to a counselor or teacher at your school they should be able to help you.

I wasn’t in a good space before I left for school either, my senior year was a lot. But being in a new environment actually helped improve my mental health. That’s just my personal experience though, everyone’s college experience is different.
