I think you're a bit to harsh on the select figures man. Every figure is uniquely sculpted and applied with some sort of an accessories, base, weapons, or even an extra figurine. With legends you get the same old body molds reused each year over an over again (bucky cap mold) and you'll get one figure each wave that actually has an accessorie. Other than articulation, legends can't necessarily compete with marvel select. Then again, this is merely my personal opinion.
yeah, this selects good but its quite bashed
i mean marvel select know how to create . great a good sculpt but they are very hard to get into a good pose, the winter soldier cap is always too stiff, the deadpool is slightly too rigid and the cable is both wobbily and far too stiff... the best i can do with him is make him stand and hold a gun for a few seconds, he constantly falls over despite the fact that he has pegs to keep him held up. they're great show pieces but getting them to pose is almost impossible

YES, Cable CAN fit in very nicely with Marvel Legends. Cable is generally always depicted as a pretty huge guy..so despite the larger scale of the Select, it works.
I will always sacrifice articulation for a good sculpt. Too much articulation makes the figure look like Pinocchio. They're all awkward, unsightly, mechanical joints.

My problem with sacrificing articulation is that Cable can't even aim his gun! Yes, the Select sculpts are beautiful but they're not even consistent with scaling. That's weak.

So true. I have traded away every Marvel Select I have ever had. I love NECA's stuff. The sculpts are great and they have nice articulation. The problem with NECA is the quality. Many figures break easily. I have been collecting the 68 Planet of the Apes line. So far the figures are pretty sturdy. Maybe it is just certain lines that have QC problems?

Needs balance. Good articulation and good sculpt rather than great articulation and crap sculpt, or vice versa.

Looking at this figure makes me really mad they didn't go for Perlman for the role. He was the obvious choice! Grrrr! Shame on you, Fox! (Although I'm pretty sure Josh Brolin will do an awesome job anyways)

The articulation may not be great but the sculpt and paint detail more than makes up for it.

Yeah, weak articulation on this guy is why I passed; It's basically a statue, even when comparing it to Select Ultron, Venom, and the new Thor. Detail work on it is really great, don't get me wrong, but the reason I get action figures is to pose them in action poses. I'll wait to see if any customizers do anything to fix its articulation.
Great review!!! I manged to get cable aiming bang on with the massive cannon of doom! but you really gotta jiggle the head up down and side to side to get bang on!
The face sculpt looks like ron perlman alot it would be cool to see him as cable.

Just picked mine up this morning
Just picked this guy up tonight, he looks fucking great. The articulation in his upper body is very limited (can't understand why they didn't give him forearm or bicep swivel) but all the detail and the ludicrous amount of accessories he comes with more than make up for that, in my book.
2 amazing figure from DS in Thor and this. Shame about the articulation above the waist but it still looks amazing! GR!!
His mold reminds me of Major Chip Hazard from Small Soldiers.
Seeing this figure makes me think, if Fox is gonna have Cable in the Deadpool movie, Dolph Lundgren would be a cool pick to play him. Just my opinion.

Everyone I got this figure it's actually not that bad I'm enjoying it, it's just hard to get his weapons in his hands, and also lack if articulation but still I really love the sculpt

Cable looks like Bill Razer from Contra shattered soldier and I wish Cable was compered with Stryfe from the Jubilee baf...

cool video shartimus not a bad looking figure but bummer about the articulation not that i collect selects but id rather have better articulation then sculpt and if hes not tall enough for certain displays thats kinda a problem too but anyway keep up the awesome videos
His chest padding is removable. So maybe that would add some more articulation to the head.

Help me out, ACBA community. I'm wanting to do some ACBA for my photography course. Never had a flight stand, never have owned a Tamashii Nation figure or Mafex. Only flight stands I've owned have been the Marvel Legends ones. Which are nice, but I need a clip for non ML figures. I keep coming across the Tamashii Nations flight stand on Amazon. And it's nice, but it seems really short. Which flight stands are your favorite?

The actual figure..................meh. It looks alright, but after a good figure like the Marvel NOW thor, kind of feels dull. Plus not to mention, the ugly DCUC styled legs which I hate...

Really really high, its rare for an action figure to sell out that quick even the odin wave came back after everyone cleaned out the stores. I found a MS venom a couple months ago at retail price. But overall theres that small chance thatl it will sell out, thank the scalpers

I wouldn't say paint is very good on this one. The forehead is not even painted all the way up to the hairline and that 5o'clock shadow on his face looks awful. I was really looking forward for this figure, but now I think even if I buy it I'll have to custom paint it for sure.

I LOVE the new MS Thor figure but HATE this Cable one. It seems like MS just half assed this figure with crappy articulation and fisher price sized weapons. Easy pass for me.

great review. love Cable, but just not diggin that upper body at all. just waaayyyy too much goin on there. if that were a real soldier- he wouldnt be able to move with allv that crap on. I know thats how he looked in the comics early on- but they definitely should have done a later xmen version. Very disappointed. gonna pass on this one-

Bad figure....i always think how people who make these think its a good idea to make a articulated figure and then they sculpt al those things on top in such a way that it Blocks everything...with this figure it looks like his chestarmor is 10 sizes to big...how do they miss that?
That stubbly beard looks really weird. It just covers his chin. Apparently Cable can't grow a mustache or sideburns.
I love and hate this figure. Cable is way too bad ass to not like it, but the articulation is awful.
