Others might be, but the 747-8 is not old. The very last one, actually a 747-8F just came off the factory line. But the newest passenger version, 747-8 was only purchased by 3 airlines and only a few of these are active. Korean, Lufthansa and Air China.

Yes she does. PBm has a 3.5 KM long runway. That is more than enough for a heavy loaded 747 taking off.

It's funny that there is this guy with the sticks trying to look important giving signals. You sometimes see those at airports. Like pilots would need help parking their plane, would care - and they probably don't even see them from up there :D

IMO, the B747 is still the most ridiculous-looking jumbo jet only b/c the area below and behind the cockpit looks like a blowfish. It's, also, the most successful modern-day jumbo jet of its time. The Antonov An-225 looks better b/c its got a raised wingspan and 6 engines to divert attention from the bulbous of the anterior.
