For what you started with, it came out looking good. I'm famous with the glue from the finger on the paint or a window. But hey, like you said, it looks great on the shelf.

Hi Shawn,
When I saw the picture for your video, I had to check it out because I have the same Revell kit in my stash as well as the Revell Scrambler to build. Both kits are in disrepair. The tires were dry rotted and I asked Norm Veber of Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland if he could resin cast replacement tires for me. He did a fantastic job and I hope to build both kits. The chrome is in similar condition to your example. I plan to Alclad the chrome on my kits. Thank you for sharing your skills and expertise on this project.

Thank you Larry and I'd love to see you build them brother and yeah I needed to rechrome mine, but so many parts missing that I decided to just build it the best I could, because it was the only Yamaha that I had at the time lol 😆
You did an awesome job brother, it looks just fine to me. I think the dull Chrome is awesome, I see more and more people riding these kinds of motorcycle's around and your bike resembles theirs to a T, I like it.

Hey Shawn,,your looking better that's awesome dude,,,congrats on 35 anniversary that too is awesome,,I have that same Chrysler pre painted kit the paint detail is excellent,,make that model yer bitch,,yeah buddy true that,,bike looks super cool ,,I call faded chrome patina,,I built a couple Revell 1/8 choppers back in the early 70s so believe me when I say I admire your skills brother I mean it ,I don't comment often so I'm trying to make it up here lol later Glen
