    I've made wine listening to various people on YT, but Yours is the easiest, cheapest, & I believe the best way for making wine 🍷.
    No boiling, cooking, just juice, sugar, & yeast and HIDE it from myself!

    It worked! I found PawPaw when the fancy instant pot method molded. The next day I followed what PawPaw did, EXCEPT: I used sterilized Mason jars and fermenting lids, plopped those bad boys in my Trump cooler with a towel, heating pad and thermometer. I decided to check today to see if he had opened his. I am so glad i did, cuz I opened mine too. I'll put it this way, I gave a glass to my husband, him not knowing I made it, he didn't skip a beat, only to comment how STRONG the wine was!!!! Thanks PawPaw!!!

    When I got out of the Army in '79 we had a German schrank cabinet that had 2 doors with windows and to solid doors on the lower side. I install 2 light sockets 1 in the upper and 1 in the lower levels of the schrank. with 60 watt lightbulbs I maintained 88 degrees through out. I could fit 3 - 5 gallon carboys in both levels or 12 - 1 gallon glass jugs. worked great and we could cook 3 - 5 months worth at one time. Those were the days!!! Good video Bob, Thanks...Peace!!!

    Hey paw paw: if ya'll haven't heard a lot from me lately it's cause I been to miserable to post or comment because of this darn GOUT mostly I been in bed. And mostly my days of enjoying a tasty glass of homemade wine has been over. Because the say alchohal makes the gout worse. Weeeeelll I find a little work around around that. If you want to share it with the good folks like myself that visit your channel. Juicy Juicy brand cherry wine. Only you don't add the sugar. You use just add the yeast. It takes the sugars from the juice already in it. It is a little dry. But it helps my gout and allows me to have a drink and make my wine. So maybe you can give it a try and share your thoughts and maybe it will help some poor soul who has terrible gout pain. Cherry's are a natural cure for gout. So it works just fine. Or seems to. Ok take care paw paw- Nick

    I just made my first batch of about three different juices and left it in my very warm room for 2 days while I was at the beach. I came home and my mom said my dog Kevin wouldn’t stop barking at the corner of my room where the juice was hidden behind a tapestry. When I got home and picked up one of the bottles my dog barked and went nuts trying to grab the bottle and lick the lid. Oh man after 3-4 days the juice is already calm on top with bubbles on the side and smells well of sweet alcohol.

    I live in MN, it's quite cold. I mixed up some Paw Paw wine, then I placed it on the ductwork from the heater in the basement. I saw that after 4 days the welches concord grape stopped fermenting. I thought I'd gently take a sip. It tasted pretty good warm and it was pretty strong using Fleishman yeast. I ended up drinking a glass full and I feel quite sleepy. I tested the apple but it didn't taste too good and I noticed the yeast was slowly still working so I put it back. I think it finishes faster in a constant temperature of approximately 85 degrees. Other juices have different sugars though.

    Hey Paw Paw,
    I've only been a subscriber for a few months and I very much enjoy your channel content.
    I have completed (2) batches of your wine recipe and have had good success with it.
    It is hard (for me) not to peek at the wine and fiddle with it as it is processing but I've concluded that I just have to look and check on my babies as they are bubbling away.
    I was wondering if you have ever tried making Blueberry Pomegranate?
    And, If not, OMG what are you waiting for!
    I think you should do a wine tasting video once a month, so what if you've already done a bunch of wine videos, I really enjoy them and I enjoy watching your reaction once you take a sip.
    I'm rambling on here, Thanks for reading my comment and I would be thrilled if you would do a Blueberry Pom wine video and tasting video. You won't be sorry.
    Thanks and keep the videos coming!

    Hey Paw Paw! Big fan here, I've watched all the videos on your winemaking playlist and today I mixed my first batch of your wine recipe. I followed your instructions exactly and when I went to mix everything together, the sugar dissolved into the juice just fine but the yeast didn't, so no matter how long I shook it for there were little yeast grains floating around in it. Right now after a few hours maybe half of the yeast is floating just below the surface and the other half is on the bottom. Any guidance? Thanks much paw paw God bless!

    • @DoingItCheap
      @DoingItCheap  Před 3 lety

      First.......... I have caught many people trying to start out with cold juice. It needs to be at least at room temperature to start. If your mix is cold, then let it warm up. Don't worry about it. Shake it some more, loosen the lid and hide it for a month somewhere warm !

    Paw paw ! I need your help mate first of all your wine recipe is delicious 🤤 I have a few favourite juices here in Australia to use I found through trial and error , I currently have some apple banana and mango brewing coming up on the 30 day mark and starting to go still , it has pulp in it and I’m just wondering what your experience has been with pulp ? Have you used a pulpy juice ? Should I strain it off or should I leave it in ?

    • @DoingItCheap
      @DoingItCheap  Před 3 lety +1

      First of all, let us understand that wine is made from JUICE not pulp. IF I had made it with juice that had pulp, I would definitely strain it and press the pulp to get every bit of that delicious alcoholic nectar out of it I could !! In the future, I would extract the liquid before I started the process, but that is just my opinion.
